That sign is a mid to low level candidate, but it is not an outright reject. I prefer these types of signs to have more than just the native language name and the latin name for me to consider it educational.

It depends on the significance of the lake. Is the lake a community gathering place or a recreational facility? Without an explanation, I would rate lowly. The example nomination would be a reject for me.
-
It is not a strong candidate, but it should not have been marked as a duplicate.
-
I do not think any of those example nominations are eligible.

While I understand the point about pedestrian access, I think the current guidance fits better with @TheFarix-PGO's understanding. I favor being cautious about accepting Emergency Service infrastructure, even if it is unlikely you would impede emergency response.

Looks fine to me from a 'URL in the picture' standpoint. It would be different if it was a superimposed watermark of a URL there for promotion or a temporary sign with a URL in the photo's frame.

Yes, it's a no-no.

Would "Building>>Religious>>Shrine" fit?

Or is it just some place to grab a sandwich and a coffee because theres nothing better around? I honestly don't think there's anything wrong with accepting the place where people grab a bite to eat if it is the best gathering place in your community, provided it's not a chain fast food place. I guess there is a 5 point…

The other possible category is "Structure > Shade" I tend to use "picnic area" for those having multiple picnic tables I use "Shade" for structures with no picnic tables or one picnic table I use "Gazebo" for gazebos

Stained glass windows can be separate wayspots from the church itself, but they will rarely result in a separate game token from the church itself as they will bee too close to the church portal/stop in nearly all cases.

I would change the focus of the photos to the sign for the complex. You are still going to have to rely on reviewers looking at your supplemental info links because the buildings don't appear to be anything special on their own.

Temporary/seasonal should only be used for items like Holiday/Festival decorations and items like limited time exhibits like a sign advertising an event, not for things that are permanently installed but only visible for part of the day. If temporary/seasonal were used for rolling shutters, then it could be used for…

In many cases, maps can be considered works of art depending on the level of cartography. I think all of the maps but the 4th one in the original post would be acceptable. They are informational signs as well as maps and the cartography is good for all of them. The exception should be when the same boilerplate template is…

I have been wondering if it was something with me or if it was something with Dice that I can't see anything posted by Dice.

You might be correct that vandalism is not called out by name as being ineligible, but I think it is clear by the spirit of the street art versus graffiti conversation that vandalism would not be a high quality candidate. There is also not explicit guidance to 1-star reject diaper pails, but I will not assume they are good…

@TheFarix-PGO & @AgentB0ss-ING Thanks.

I know this is the common advice we reviewers give each other, but has Niantic ever officially commented on this? If so, can someone share the documentation of that comment?

May be slightly off-topic: In some cases, liquor stores are actually repositories of public arts artifacts

Pretty sure that license plate on the original photo on this thread was avoidable.

I am pretty good with an artificial turf field. I am including one from my neck of the woods here. The turf and markings are permanent, but the field is used for both soccer and lacrosse, so the goals are not permanent structures.

I personally do not use such a strict standard. I think a locally owned and operated diner or burger joint makes a mid-grade quality nomination (2-3 stars) without having to add anything fluffy to the description.

I don't believe the should be accepted because they are inherently good candidates. They should have to meet some other criteria (cool looking, architecturally significant, site of a historic event), not just that they are an underpass used by pedestrians. If not, what would stop crosswalks from being accepted? Used…

I suppose you could use it to confirm its existence. That is probably less convincing than an updated streetview or photosphere. That being said, the clause that a location be featured prominently in a travel guide is not for the purpose of confirming existence, it is to help a reviewer formulate an opinion on whether the…

Not really a mural.
