so you say its a club, but in supporting info you call it a bar. If its a bar it would be judged as a business I would assume. Im just confused on what this nomination is. Could use more description on how the “club” meets exercise criteria, what kind of sports etc
-
If you had an actual scenic lookout spot (these usually have a stage you can stand on) then it can be eligible. But a random spot along a river is a hard no from me
-
I was never aware of that guidance, do you have a link to said guidance? Also not sure if it would still stick with new criteria update as well since its an entire refresh
-
In my experience each sport field event in a cluster is eligible to be submitted on its own merits. So if you have a cluster of 4 baseball fields you can submit all 4. I have come into situations that have sport fields like soccer fields all in a row with each other and baseball diamonds all together. I had no problem…

Cant give much of an opinion to help without screenshots of your nomination picture, with description supporting photo and supporting info as well. Usually with no street view you may have to make a photosphere

A workout partner isnt a stretch at all. Go with a friend spot each other on sets and push each other, talk during sets or rest periods. Seems pretty social to me. Obviously during big lifts you don’t talk during but there is definitely a social aspect to the gym
-
Gyms meet 2 criteria in my opinion. The meet places to exercise, as well as places to be social. Many people go to work out in groups or have workout partners. I see a lot of my own friends at the gym as well.

Start out by taking a better picture. Maybe of the sign for that actual club? I cant even read any of the signage on the building because its so far back. Then for supporting maybe have the step back photo of the building to just show what it looks like for location verification. Most clubs are eligible for the socializing…

Yup i totally agree. Corn mazes are awesome and would definitely be eligible. Would be hard to get accepted without any signage im afraid
-
Ahh thats a bummer :/

I’ve seen this a lot more common in urban areas. There will be a school and also the field thats directly beside it is also named as a park (the park name is not the same as the schools). In this kind of circumstance i look for a few things. I look to see if there is any designated kids play area; so if theres a fenced in…

For things like sports fields it is advised to put the pin outside the field of play, but generally for everything else it is the most accurate location possible. Usually if its a meter or two i dont bother, but if i see it being deliberately moved so that someone can either get the poi from the road or to make it close to…

If the farm doesnt do any kind of tourism, fairs or anything for the community it is not eligible regardless of rural or urban locations. It falls under the private residential property/farm rejection reason
-
Stop upgrading them maybe?
-
Poi just stands for “point of interest” and it saves on characters because you only have a certain amount. The real issue isnt with the nominators as a whole its the wording used by niantic as in pokemon go they refer to them as pokestops. If someone doesnt read these forums it wont do much for them
-
it sometimes takes a little while it still needs to be voted on. Your sure its “upgraded” and not “upgrade next”. Also some nominations to go through the regular voting process can take upto a year or longer so 10 days is really not that bad 🤷♂️
-
They aren’t chains 🤦🏻 If they all had the exact same name like planet fitness, goodlife, fit4less, 24hour fitness yes those are chains. But generally speaking ive never come across 2 crossfit gyms with the same name
-
Agreed. I honestly never thought someone would argue that gyms don’t meet the exercise criteria 🤦🏻 Just goes to show how badly the criteria gets interpreted some times
-
Or exercise. Literally the first sentence it does not specify it having to be inside or outside. That is your interpretation
-
I get it takes long, i’ve been there and done that. Took me like a year to get everything in my town lol. And if someone else nominates it and it gets accepted great! One less thing I have to do. You get 7 every 14 days. Dont get frustrated just take your time map out which ones are the best ones to submit that will…
-
The reason why its lower than what ingress has is more than likely to do with the large player base. Pokemon go by far has way more players that submit than ingress. As you can tell by the slow speed at which nominations go through it creates a massive backlog. I could fore see that sometime in the future once pokemon…

I don’t mind accepting some of the trans canada trail signs but more often than not people try to submit the sign every 10-30meters. You’ll see one around the block then one down the road. I accept them if i dont see anything around them. If there are some within a few blocks im more stingy when reviewing them. I see this…

I was just saying that as nianticcasey made a point about starbucks being literally the only spot in town. I understand timmies is a cultural icon in Canada and its everywhere lol. Most towns i go to have 1 tims every 3kms
-
Generic chain restaurant would be ineligible. They can however sponsor there own stops. If its a really small town and theres literally only the tim hortons it may be eligible depending on your supporting info
-
Without anythingthat makes this butcher shop unique this wouldnt be eligible
-
You havent been to many military bases if you say that they have those guards lol(maybe where you come from?). Many I know have a side thats meant just for the military (operational zones) then the other side is generally a residential area meant for members and civilians(non military) to live at. They may have some…

Don’t worry about copy right stuff for nominations. If its a third party photo or a watermarked photo then no. This stuff is perfectly fine
-
You would have to have hope that other people are reviewing properly. Asking for reviewers to not move the pin that incorrectly positioned is abuse. Usually if its flagged as abuse id hope niantic takes a look into it. Eventually if the same nominator is found trying to abuse the system they may get banned from submitting…
-
I would just reject it as abuse and move on

How many people playing pokemon go do you think know this though? I remember when i first played we would walk all around a poi cause there was generally more spawns just not listed on the nearby. I believe thats what it is trying to stop with that rule
