If this is the case, then why can't the appeals still be processed gradually, versus all at once (if this is what you are suggesting)? The data collected (on an aggregated basis) should still be the same.
-
I would hope that Niantic prioritizes the first appeals for reviews. So the volume of later appeals shouldn’t really make any difference since the first ones would be decisioned first
-
I’m not sure these are being collected for machine learning. I’m pretty sure there is going to be a real person who has to carefully read the supporting detail which can be potentially very lengthy and accompanies each appeal.
-
At this point, I would just like to hear that someone has had one of their appeals processed. It's entirely frustrating that no one has reported anything, and even worse that Niantic hasn't given an update. Don't understand why the functionality was released if there wasn't going to be any action taken on the appeals.

Hmm -- I haven't been reviewing much for months, so haven't had a number of unused upgrades for a long time, but in the past, I seem to remember that I had more than one nomination upgraded and in voting at the same time. Please correct me if I am wrong.

By that logic, then almost everything everywhere could be a community gathering spot of some type. It's pretty clear what meets criteria and what doesn't. And if you are approving most things, you are probably not always following the criteria. While I agree that some reviewers get carried away and actively look for…

There is a long wait for many new nominations to still be decisioned, whether they are in queue or in voting. So would question then why existing approved portals should be rated/reviewed instead in light of the new nominations still needing to be finalized.

Sorry, but why should a tennis court not be a stop -- because you don't hold events there?? What do you mean by an event? If it's a regular tennis court where people play tennis, then that should suffice. Same thing with a baseball field; it would not require any special events to be held there. A baseball field on its own…

@NianticTintino - Can we please get an update on this? Maybe with some guidance on how many have been reviewed so far? Or rough time that you think they will be processed (i.e. are they going to take a month or a year, etc.). Or just any information that gives us hope that the appeals aren't just sitting there collecting…

Uncertain as to why the quality has gone down recently? It seems pretty much aligned to the increase in nominations available to pogo players. Which seems to be reflected in the nominations themselves and their supporting info. ("There isn't a stop nearby and we need one").

I have probably at least 10 discovered over the last several months, and my total number is still unchanged.
-
It almost looks like someone used a bad language translation program and this is the end result.
-
Has anyone yet got the outcome of their appeal?
-
Does the dog park have some type of sign or marker that points out it is a dog park? This should be the focal point of your main picture. If your nomination included that, I would either re-submit or appeal it.
-
Regardless of the reasons given, this would not qualify. Sorry
-
Is there any chance that there is a wall of some type where a mural of some type can be created?
-
It's more likely that Niantic is using this for their own internal tagging system, than it actually being used in helping to adjudicate the nomination in any capacity
-
But the fast lane moves way quicker than the normal lane, so not sure what your point is.
-
Then by that logic, would changing the amount to 200 lessen the queue?
-
And on this subject, if the rejection/approval count needs to be X out of Y reviews, will the rejection/approval automatically be effective, or will the total number of required reviews need to occur before it is decisioned? For example, if it is something like 40 reviews out of 50 need to be approved, does the approval…

I believe some should be eligible. I got one approved because it was mentioned specifically in a book. It's huge, lighted and considered a landmark in my community. I've seen others that are truly ornate and spectacular and even involve artwork into the sign. Lots of them are boring and non-descript so these would not be…

I know some people have the opinion that Niantic reviews shouldn't be on old nominations, but certainly, here is an instance where this makes a whole lot of sense. An upgraded nomination should not take this long. It certainly would be a popular outcome if Niantic addresses the broader situation of all the old nominations…
-
No worries if your first one is rejected, as you are still learning what makes a good nomination. Are you reviewing on Wayfarer to get upgrades to apply against your other nominations?
-
Not sure if this will make any difference if there are not enough reviewers there, but have you reviewed sufficient nominations on Wayfarer to earn an upgrade to use on your own nominations? How many nominations have you submitted? Have any of them gone into voting yet or are they still in queue?
-
Another option is to join a local pogo chat in your area and pose your questions there (if you aren't already a member). There would likely be someone in there who has experience in nominating local points of interest and can give you tips and advice about how to proceed. That way, you would ideally be able to find out…
-
Thank you. Any idea how long it takes a request here for something to be removed? I thought it would be removed by the time the new nomination went into voting
-
This is the first time I've heard that someone has had to re-take the quiz. Did you get an email beforehand or how did you even find out you needed to take quiz again? I think you should contact the Wayfarer Support team to find out what is going on.

I usually see the description as being more important when there is a nomination where the title is not exactly clear about what the nomination is for. For example, if the title is a historic building, I would like to see something about when it was built, etc (i.e. Built in 1920 by well-known architect X., or as…

I have 4 approved ingress nominations over the last 3 days, with all of them in unoccupied cells and not close to other approved points of interest. But none of them have even appeared in ingress yet. All reviewed by reviewers and not Niantic. So in my instance, not seeing daily syncs of any type. They aren't showing in…
