An independent martial arts dojo Trail markers for a named excercise trail with, a map to support the claim plus link to confirm it. In my experience, gyms and dojos are good candidates for appeals, trail markers are not.

My experience is very similar to OP. Removing "genetic business" helped, adding it back made situation worse. During challenge, after AMA, in a span of single day. Note, only decisions I received then, in every single decision the rejection reason was misused (abused). Educating won't help, people use it as it is quick and…

It's not a distance rule, for more see And yes, you and many others before have been tricked by the misleading nomination process and it's understandable to be upset. Just aim your frustration to correct target, which is Niantic as a company, not Ingress players.
-
It's not about "clear desription". It's about convincing reviewers that this pier is an eligible candidate. What eligibility criteria (exploring, gathering, excercise) do you think it fits and why/how. In my opinion eligibilty is not clear from the information you have provided. -- System hasn't changed much. Russia is…
-
I suspect that you also got "other rejection criteria" as rejection reason? Your challenge is to show and convince reviewers that the pier is more than just a place where people nowadays drive in their cars and jump into their boats. As it is, your nomination tells not much else. You do mention it's "a historical pier",…

Thanks for the questions. At this time I can share You had my attention here. that we are cleaning abusive location edits and refining good ones. You had lost me here. As Danbocat shared, this is only affecting .0009% of Wayspots globally. And this causes me to log out from the board.

*a long wall of text* @tp235-ING Yes, despite being a Pogo player first. I have played Ingress, attended official anomaly, been involved in local community and operations, recursed. Your view of Ingress community is, from my perspective, highly idealistic and not what I have experienced (mule accounts, open but hard to…

As is often the case, I don't recognize the Pokemon Go community some Ingress players on this forum are describing. In this particular case forum member @tp235-ING description. Instead I do recognize the aspects of Ingress player base Wheeltrekker describes.
-
How exactly is that related to this situation? :) Fact remains that this is another case where Pogo has / will have "rebalanging" (read: POIs removed from game map) and Ingress not.
-
"Possibly can not exist" is an even a lower standard for 1* than "cannot be found on a map". I can find a trail marker on the map, but it "possibly can not exist" because the map could be wrong or old. I don't think you want reviewers following that clarification. Someone else with English as their mother language care to…

Odd. I've been active since the start and I have never read or heard such wish. Sect makes it sound a large group. Again, could you provide at least some links to confirm that you're not just bad mouthing another player base? :)
-
Nope, Pogo players don't want an Ingress clone. At least I have never read or heard such wish. Could you provide a link? Pogo players / Wayfarers want more of the Waypoints they nominate and review usable in the game they play (I know getting the the whole catalogue visible is not relistic). Of ourse that would require…

The summary point is "1* cannot be found on the map" is clear. Not "1* cannot possibly exist" or "1* only if it cannot be found on the map and is definitely fake" or "1* only if cannot be found on the map, but if the reviewer says it's there, give them the benefit of the doubt and make it 3*." vs. Niantic clarification. In…

Quoting a fellow forumer as this is not the first nor the last time topic is discussed.

Clarification you mean can be found from here.

Any photography tips? General advice for hard cases? Take several photos. Go home. Brew a cup of coffee. Glass of wine works as well, or a sip of calming tea. Make needed improvements, cropping, lightning etc. Try different aspects when cropping, 4:3 works better than 16:9 often/sometimes. Nominate. Check mistakes from…

Well, I live in the capital of Finland and this... ...is the current featured Wayspot when I log in.

@Frewfrux-PGO For information about grid etc, check Recommended tools, IITC + Pogo-tools.

@WheelTrekker-ING Could someone explain me how applying again the 20m rule that had been working for so long is so different with regards to wayfarer to what the Pokemon players have been facing since day one such that only ONE wayspot in a S2 L17 cell is visible in their game? Sure. Even after reapplying... 20 meters…

There are no hard facts* to offer. Some want parks to have only one sign, some want every possible in the game. For me the distance would be enough, for some likely not. *Except that the actual park signs help, a lot. -- As a sidenote, judging from the satellite view, you have a possibility for "extra" Wayspot (if aiming…

@Frewfrux-PGO About Blumsen Park. Both entrances have a park sign, and the southern one also mentions the playground. Makes a difference.
-
Just a check (sorry), the description is written by you, not a copy paste from town site? Otherwise I can't think of a reason for rejection.
-
It's hard to comment with just a photo. Please show screenshot (also support photo & text) of your actual nomination. (As a hunch, pedestrian access may be the cause.)
-
The root problem is that you have used generic rule signs as an anchor for the entrance. While not having the name (unlike Blumsen Park aka easy acceptance) other accepted entrances have "Welcome to the Park" text. https://intel.ingress.com/?ll=49.067476,-122.795005&z=17&pll=49.067476,-122.795005 The support photo, with…

According Niantic the rejection reason is "on single family private residence property". The photo you linked is not on "single family private residence" outer wall. It's been requested for years that it'd be written more clearly in the guidelines, but for no success. (Completely another thing is that the criteria makes no…

There's a difference if your advice is... 1) This will propably get rejected as lazy and cynical reviewers just give any benches 1* without even reading the description and support text. 2) I and most other reviewers just give this 1* because we don't care. Give up. Correct me if I'm wrong, but your advice seems to be the…

You can use existing photos. In Pogo you can make the nomination from about 10 km distance. In Ingress about 25 km. Just save the photos on your device for easy use. With more complex targets I usually just take pictures and make a mark on my Ingress map to find the exact location later on. Easier to tinker with photos…

I don't think the name is even relevant, the plague and being part of project is mostly to prevent "generic bench 1*" instant rejections. Use the initials if you feel the name is relevant but uncomfortable typing it in the description? If you're planning to hike there again. Take several pictures with different angles and…
