No, the AI model can only reject. (Maybe in the future they will make an approving one, who knows...but that wasn't a goal with the model currently in use.)

Machine learning (ML) is a form of AI. I don't think anyone has ever claimed that the nomination-filtering model is a generative AI model (although it is _generating_ a lot of ire).
-
I like your ideas and how you explain them. It's an interesting thought in theory. In practice, as always, it's more complicated. I would be worried about honest nominators who get troll/bot/abusive rejections. For example, the influential number of German reviewers rejecting trail markers as "license plate." German…

Yesterday was a sign to me that I need to pull back from Wayfarer. So this isn't going to be as coy as y'all may be used to from me. I do acknowledge that work went into the system but it's not necessarily productive work. Having nominations in voting get reset and go back into queue is ridiculous and should not have been…

The in-game rewards are decided by the respective game teams, not the Wayfarer team. You may get better results posting on the Ingress forums.

This is still stuck in my head btw

Thanks for all your work and quick pivots on this challenge!

The only thing you can do is wait until your appeal is available again or re-submit the nomination. Your appeal will become available again ~30 days after you submitted your previous appeal. On a side note, if this is the part of the church grounds where the priest lives, it doesn't meet any criteria.

You only get three skips, each one on a 24-hour timer until it replenishes. The Niantic Wayfarer team is working on the system so that more Italian reviews will show.

The OP is a seasoned, criteria-abiding submitter and a public transit expert. These submissions are all hubs/big stations, not generic bus stops found every 2 or 3 blocks along a bus route. His prior submissions of such locations have had a very high success rate in community voting (and I have even reviewed some myself).…

Should be at noon Pacific time (-7:00 UTC) on Wednesday, if the Niantic team adheres to what they said.

It depends on if the business is on the ground floor of a single-family house or if it's apartments above. If apartments, it shouldn't be an issue. It shows all rejection reasons picked, so it could be just one or two people misunderstanding the "private residence". For the first one, "other rejection" may be because the…

Assuming those are apartments in the background (and barring no other rejection reasons like third party photo/text), definitely an incorrect rejection originally and from the appeal reviewer.

Yeah, it seems to be an average of all placements. Another reason why sports fields often stay near the middle, if the submitter submitted it that way... reviewers may move it out of the center, but may door pick the same side, so it averages back to the middle.

I know, but I'm not Niantic so I can't answer with certainty. I just wanted to offer help with the issue, including for anyone who may be reading who has the same issue.

In your phone's app settings, for the Google Photos app, you can deny the permission for it to access media on your device. Within Photos, I believe there is also a setting to prevent it from automatically uploading photos to Google business listings. I recommend disabling the automatic upload not only for Wayfarer…

There is a part of France (Brest) that, by a quirk of geography and S2 coverage, actually has a very small possible reviewer pool. I reviewed there during the original Indonesia challenge, and there was a backlog of about 400 nominations. Not a ton, but not necessarily a little bit either for it being a small area. It…

Has the bug where some reviews weren't counted (neither for the challenge count nor for agreements in general) been addressed?
-
I didn't realize at first that this was my thread from 2.5 years ago and I got sooo scared when I saw my photo 😂 In any case, your question was answered on the other thread, right?

With this type of edit, where there is a safety issue (like the pin gets moved to and approved in a road) but the correct location is within edit distance, help chat can vary by agent on how helpful they are. Some may tell you to submit an edit it in game. If they do, you could submit another ticket (retain your original…

It's been a few days since the announcement, and the news has many casual wayfarers shaking in their boots. I've already seen many--who must've not have known that even before this announcement, game accounts could be suspended from Wayfarer abuse--saying they are going to stop reviewing and submitting. For example, in a…

The new help page states "accessing Wayfarer clients or backends" (emphasis added). As far as I know, the Wayfarer plugins, such as the one recommended by Tintino et al during the Spain/global challenge, don't access the backend, but I'm not a programmer or computer scientist, so I don't know for sure. I also am not 100%…

Nominations may be flagged as duplicates by the AI duplicate detection system, which will appear as an "instant" rejection with no rejection reasons listed. Also, Niantic "fast tracks" a nominator's first "few" nominations, but a rejection within a few hours sounds like the AI duplicate detection. If you feel comfortable…

For Pokemon Go, the remote upload limit is about 6 miles. Beyond that, the map will snap back. You'll have to be closer to the village to submit remotely in Pokemon Go. Ingress has a bit larger remote limit, around 15 miles, but is still limited. (These limits apply to new submissions, not edits.)

Agree with you that Niantic fails to make many clarifying tweaks that don't require coding. I imagine they have an arduous internal approval process for even the most minute correction. And/or, the current webpages were extensively workshopped and signed off on, so they don't see the need to change. Not only would it be…
