Thanks for checking. Trail/path markers that are *on* or at the start of a *named trail* (for example, something like Greenwood Bike Path or the Ice Age Trail), are eligible and encouraged by Niantic. If it's just a random stretch of sidewalk or an unnamed path by a building, then it wouldn't be eligible. If you see ones…

If you're referring to pond sprayers, this is built in the Wayfarer interface. Plus the need for pedestrian access is stated on every section of the Wayfarer criteria page.
-
It's not buried in the forums. The OP of this thread quoted where the guideline comes from, which is the Content Guidelines section of the main Wayfarer criteria page.
-
Yes, I said that in my opinion they would be eligible.
-
If you are referring to the sprayer in the middle of the lake, it's not eligible because (1) it's in the middle of the water, so there's no pedestrian access and (2) while some of these sprayers are embellished with lights and such, they are generally considered part of the pond's infrastructure, like a pump or drain would…

I agree that the grounds are eligible but not every single little camping site within the grounds. They are just too small, generic, and "residential." Other facilities on the grounds could also be additional eligible POIs, like communal pavilions and lodges, trails, athletic fields, etc. Maybe if it is a large campground…

Do you happen to have a link to that? I would be interested in seeing it but couldn't find it in search. I would think that some dorms could easily fulfill the social criterion. Many dorms have group study rooms, lounges, seminar rooms, recreation rooms, and dining halls, or at least some combination of these facilities.…

But is it also up to the reviewer to know and/or verify the laws for the municipality of each relevant submission? If so, I'm sorry, but I'm not doing that. When a submitter of a LFL in front of a single family house says something in their supplement like "According to City of X law, the city owns the first three feet of…

This looks like an improvement to me. In your screenshot, I couldn't even tell that those two dots to the right of the island were people, so I assume you can't see faces if you zoom on the main pic. Good luck!

Here is how you nominate a forest. You use the sign as an anchor, or physical manmade representation, of the nature area. This is demonstrated with the Park sign photo on the criteria page. As for the other pond sprayer, just because a wayspot was accepted doesn't mean it meets criteria. Things sometimes get incorrectly…

Hi! I actually reviewed this nomination and gave it good marks. Part of that was benefit of the doubt and general leniency for a rural area, but I think it had solid merit overall. For photo, it's generally thought that there are reviewers who don't like photos at an angle and prefer the sign to be photographed straight…

I think it should be fine then. Something good to mention at least in supporting. The official website pic is good with its angle showing the unusual pool shape and the skylight. Hopefully you can capture that same idea without people in the way. Good luck!

If this is in the middle a field, most likely reviewers could not see it on street view or satellite view and therefore could not confirm location. Is this at the wildlife refuge? Either way, wildlife houses are generally not considered acceptable by many reviewers, the idea being that the structure is there for the…

Wow, the crosswalk and sidewalk are so obvious. 🤦 Based on forum postings, Niantic decisions on wayspots and appeals have been inconsistent lately. Just curious, what were the rejection reasons on the original community rejection?
-
Sí, como explicó @WheelTrekker-ING, está muy bien. 5* para el acceso peatonal.

Hi Valzulu, first try clearing your browser cache or using a different browser. Hopefully that works, but if not, let us know.

There are suburban and rural areas in Japan and Europe. The the integral thing with these games is that they about real-world exploration of real-world objects. Assuming Niantic wanted to maximize wayspots (and assuming that wayspots = profit, as you have posited), they would just make the game maps have wayspots equally…

It is still a natural feature, as it's not manmade, just a bit unusual natural phenomenon. It is still normal for bodies of water to be underground though - look up aquifers for example. What is that yellow sign? If it's just a warning sign, it's ineligible, but if it is about the river, maybe it can be a focal point.…

Read all the text in the email from Niantic and let us know if you still have a question.

Right, private residential property makes them ineligible. Lately I have been seeing nominations of LFLs on private property with supporting info that says something like "Niantic has said that LFLs on private property are okay as long as they don't interfere with the property." As far as I know, that's just a lie.

Bold of you to think I have friends. 🤣 Maybe I'll ask on comms, though the comms isn't terribly active in my area. I don't think the time required to level up is reasonable just to edit one wayspot, especially since I already put in the effort to make a high-quality wayspot that was thrown away. As you can see, there are 3…

There is something about just getting the new photo added (by marking as a duplicate) that is uncomfortably inadequate for me. It doesn't address the needed change in the title or description. Also, with the photo gallery being semi-obscure to most players, I would assume that many do not look at the gallery and thumb up,…

What has happened to the pre-Lightship ones, then? Are they just gone forever? I just checked Intel on a couple accepted nominations I never got the chance to follow up on IRL. This mural I nominated on April 10, 2021, and it was upgraded, so approved within a week. I pinned it as far as possible from the next closest…

For title and/or description, I would reject. For supporting, I wouldn't.
-
Wait, is this really even municipal? Or is the housing development just large and upscale enough to have its own rec center? This definitely seems like a borderline case.
-
Assuming no issues with the photos (that is, make sure to use your own photos), this should be fine. Even though it's indoors, reviewers can use the skylight to match with satellite view. You could even add something like "Skylight in the main photo can be used for location confirmation on satellite view." Maybe avoid…
-
Similarly, we could ask "who are the idiot that keep submitting duplicates?", but neither would get us very far. When you submit a nomination, before you get to take a photos, it shows a map of the surrounding area with points that are already in Niantic's database. A point of interest may already be in the Niantic…

Was K-12 the only rejection reason you received?

If they nominate something Pokemon related, like a card shop specializing in Pokemon TCG, it is permissible for them to mention Pokemon in the description. However, they should still not mention things specific to Pokemon Go (such as if they were to say, "PokePals Card Shop, a great place to buy cards and spin a Pokestop…
