Interesting perspective - when someone takes something from me and gives me back something lesser, theft seems like an appropriate categorization of their actions. Your ability to edit or hold your nomination was stolen from you, so you have not been made whole through the partial return. Stolen.

This is almost certainly one of the nominations that Niantic temporarily stole from the contributions page. Any stolen and returned nomination which is still in queue: cannot be held appears to be editable, but isn’t actually

I double-checked and can confirm that “Wayfarer Challenge” is turned on, but when I try to review I’m still taken back to onboarding to select a home location.

Niantic should strictly punish players (not physically) who are caught spoofing along with inaccessibility to play or use Niantic applications. I disagree. Niantic should physically punish spoofers. Capital punishment is clearly needed in these cases to prevent reoccurrence of offenses.

Believe it or not, they fixed the wording on this! Reviews did used to suggest you should pick the single most applicable category, but that phrasing was removed with the review flow redesign and now it says “Are the selected categories appropriate?” which does not imply that you should only pick one.

No, the wayspot is not (yet) in lightship, much less any game(s). Niantic’s approach to this is appalling, but it’s great that they’ve finally shared a “why” behind an “education” email, even as they continue to fail to educate or provide criteria guidance in any way.

I’m hitting a bug where I can’t access wayfarer without setting a home location.

I’m having trouble completing the onboarding because I can’t figure out how to skip setting my home location.

Why do I need to set a home location? I can’t edit any of my nominations any longer because I don’t have a home set.

At minimum, far more people know their offset from UTC by heart than know their offset from Pacific Time by heart. And I’m saying that as someone who typically observes Pacific Time myself.

Actions such as nominations and edits are currently not working. This is par for the course whenever wayfarer goes down, so it’s not exactly a surprise, but the fact you’ve communicated the opposite is certainly disappointing (and also par for the course, image that!)
