@NianticLC should this appeal decision also have been overturned?
-
Nice!
-
Somehow I don’t think it will, but it’s worth a shot.
-
The voting period is still open, so the order could change - but would a new question asked after 11:59 PM PST still be eligible to be one of the top 15 given enough votes?
-
If they want trigger words, like “Starbucks”, to exist, then rather than fully reviewing it, they should just check if it’s a legitimate use of Starbucks, and if it is then put it back into regular voting. If it’s not a legitimate use of Starbucks, reject the nomination - and give the submitter reasons why it’s rejected!…

I log in on mobile all the time. I don’t think I’ve ever done a review on mobile and I don’t think I ever will. I do edit nominations on mobile sometimes. Both reviewing and editing are significantly easier at a computer. It’s highly likely that the majority of my usage would show up as being on a mobile device, but my…

I made a joke the other day that Niantic was going to announce this AMA on the wayfarer website. It shouldn’t have been a joke.
-
Why do we need a 5* rating system for these categories?
-
All or none of those (and an infinite number of other possibilities) could be true and my answer is still undeniably correct and 100% factual. No internal knowledge is needed to understand that more appeals leads to longer turnaround times.
-
Did the daily appeal affect the amount of time it takes for appeals to be resolved? Ooh - I can answer this one! Yes. Answered. Next question?
-
That seems like an awfully short list given that English is the only language you can take the test in.
-
It’s 11:15 AM
-
opens at 12:00pm PST
-
The process for this will be similar to the April AMA. There will be a new Category in the Community titled December AMA - 2022 (opens at 12:00pm PST) where you’ll be able to ask your question(s) by using the "Report a Bug" function (this is a forum limitation, please disregard). Since the Title can only be so long, add…

The questions go here, not in this thread: https://community.wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/categories/december-ama-2022

Can you post the roadmap before voting starts so that I don’t upvote any questions answered by the roadmap?
-
@NianticLC How about giant mushroom submissions? Are you reviewing those currently?
-
@NianticTintino-ING would you like to retract what @NianticAaron said or should this continue to be treated as the proper way to review photo additions for Courts of the World imports?
-
@NianticTintino-ING given that the standard abuse report response goes something like this: We have reviewed this report and taken action on the 17 Wayspots and the Wayfinder in accordance with our policies. While we are unable to discuss our actions in detail to protect the submitter’s privacy, they may include, but are…

It’s NianticWayfarer, not ElijustryingWayfarer!

I wouldn’t know anything about that, but I do have a problem where all the missing sponsored Starbucks I’ve added to Pokémon are appearing in Ingress. It’s a big part of why I’m finding this so frustrating. Why can’t they put my nominations in the right game?
-
No, I’m submitting my Portals for Niantic to review, not you. They’re the ones accepting all my game references. They’re the ones telling me to reference the game I’m nominating for. I just don’t understand why they would keep putting my nominations in the wrong games.
-
Less judgmental than whom? The only nominations they’ve rejected are the ones they said are duplicates since I submitted both a Portal and a PokéStop. I always mention the game I’m submitting for because the instructions tell me to.
-
That’s true! None of my PokéStops or Portals have shown up in Pikmin! I always assumed that’s because my nominations are very game specific. If I shouldn’t be talking about how awesome my Portals are for Agents in the description, why do all of them get accepted when Niantic reviews them?
-
But I don’t want my Portal nominations to appear in Pokémon!
-
Why do you all think @NianticAaron isn’t telling us the truth? They were very clear about the fact you should select the non-blank photos. I hope you didn’t let that review time out waiting for an answer…
-
I don’t think so - they were very clear about marking the photos as ineligible. As they mentioned, “this is working as intended” and these waypoints are not supposed to have any photos.
-
@NianticAaron so when asked which photos DO NOT meet criteria and one of the options is a blank photo, I should select the non-blank photos as NOT meeting criteria? Just want to make sure I’m reviewing correctly…
