  • The issue is no longer just with the Wayspots being submitted and accepted, but also with Wayspot edits... 50.86833012885872, 4.711883794024246 : The Title of this Wayspot was recently changed to try a Location Edit abuse (I submitted a Title Edit in the meantime, to correct it).
  • I know and understand that, but in this specific case we are talking about someone who nominated the graffiti on (the used side of) a ramp of the skate park. Skate park itself isn't big enough to warrant several Wayspots. (Also, that graffiti no longer exists and has been replaced by another one.)
  • Some coal and fakes nominations I encountered in real life and while reviewing. Fake Nominations Wolf Mosaic: 50.90151532129711, 4.329846389833056 Eyci bleuté: 50.901990718686754, 4.329665467111659 Tortue Géniale: 50.90269395745375, 4.330003235327545 Private Property Jip en Janneke. (Eyselaarstraat): 50.973436393845425,…
  • Because that specific Graffiti is not on the other side of the skate ramp - it is on the ramp itself, the part you actually skate on. The skatepark is already a Wayspot, nominating individual items on it is the same as the Playground rule (1 Wayspot for the whole). Rather "was", because the graffiti has already been…

  • Found a hot spot for ineligible nominations on in Tessenderlo. These are Private Property, Stickers, Ineligible nominations etc: 51.07424185255283, 5.121966426574481: Farmacy 51.071259718980386, 5.121664728852815: non-eligible sign, cannot be seen on Google, Private property 51.0704659253725, 5.122810381298033: street sign…
  • Just to indicate that the "approve everything abuse" has a wider impact than just (literal) trash and fake nominations, all semblance of reviews and guidelines have disappeared. The rule on (Disc) Golf courts: only 1 POI for the whole, not every single hole. There are currently 3 from the same course, I omitted the first 1…
  • @NianticAaron again requesting Niantic to take a hard stance against the destruction of Wayfarer and to put all nominations on hold, informing the players that this is because of rampant abuse. What's the point of us reporting dozens of invalid/fake Wayspots, when hundreds appears each day + they get resubmitted and…
  • Spar is one of the largest supermarket chains in the world, from Wikipedia "...as of 2021 consists of 13,623 stores in 48 countries". The very definition of a generic chain fo stores. Even the description makes no effort of trying to make it appear otherwise... While it's nice to focus on the confirmed group in…
  • "Volle Maan Venster": 51.09340019988329, 3.760135066367599 - a window on PRP "Fleures du Marie": 51.096113921206445, 3.7601696084974248 - some flowers at someone's front door From Gent, signs indicating where water lines are running, just saw another going through reviews at the moment in the same area. Probably didn't…
  • Please take this argument on another topic, you're complaining here that you want more Pokéstops, while the rest of us are reporting approved nominations that are obvious fakes or clearly not worthy. (In that other topic you'll create, I might tell you that a "public path" is not the same as a Trail and simple paths…
  • Might need to take a closer look at Destelbergen: "Kleine Windmolen Neerheide": 51.025298044255145, 3.8097927290698443 - in someone's front yard "Standbeeld Ambiorix": 51.02481378884418, 3.8014898476390453 - no statue in sight "Dhyanamudra - Buddha artwork": 51.02694760686313, 3.8034101418197253 - statue on private…
  • "Silvester with child": 51.033994420407346, 4.474524223929231 - Seriously? Somebody put a statue of the Looney Tunes character and some candles at his window... Three for one cluster here: "AD Delhaize Tremelo": 50.99485519445267, 4.705788103586806 - supermarket for one of the largest chains in the country "Hoorcentrum…
  • "stroomkast": 51.691616643748965, 5.3369188542068215 - an electricity utility box
  • (removed duplicate post)
  • From the Showcase... "Insectenhotel - Hillesteenweg". Obviously PRP. 51.05733865698588, 3.2606850190309835 "Café Dageraad": no discussion about eligible or not, but a Duplicate popped up. Same Title and Description, 5m apart from each other 50.99236631917846, 4.534332059034442 / 50.993325437355985, 4.535837488028544
  • Accepted POI's seen while reviewing: "lantaarnpaal": 51.09216609198507, 4.727858453853831 - exactly what it says, a lamp post "panneau de piste cyclable Mellet": 50.50840074742093, 4.459819327315783 - a traffic sign indicating the bicycle path "panneau de piste cyclable": 50.51332726190159, 4.459198763496898 - another…
  • I missed that part sorry, the one I mentionned here is definitely not the only one in town and has no unique features or activities. @TWVer-ING I'm all for variety, but there are still guidelines. Waypoint should be something unique and memorable. A simple bar that has 3 other similar ones 5 minutes away (no exageration)…
  • A generic pub is not eligible, especially not if there are 3 or 4 exactly like it in a 5 minute walk. It's just another example of non-eligible things going through, like supermarkets, vending machines, garbage cans, ...
  • A cluster of fake nominations, nothing should have been able to get through: "my feet": 50.951537529718465, 4.721215008308168 ... "de boom van Tom": 50.95129871036312, 4.721542585192454 - somebody's home with his name "grasplein Sint-Antoniuswijk": 50.951107846024705, 4.721447399179503 - picture of a trail marker, but no…
  • @AScarletSabre-PGO people in my area have knowingly started to nominate generic bus stops, because several have already been accepted lately. Logic used: "It doesn't matter anymore anyway, Niantic is reaping what they sowed". I'm personally at a point where I think they should block Wayfarer submissions all around, with a…
  • The train station of Mechelen is a POI + "Track 6" - a random track that is simply at the far most end of the station (so allows for an extra Stop/Gym). Reported several times as duplicate, but always rejected.
  • "fresque au sol de l'anamorphose": 50.485617588834444, 2.6608313624605713. Current location is clearly incorrect (on a building). The POI itself is currently going through Wayfarer under a different name, but on the correct location.
  • Grafitti ruimtemannetje: 50.99115854892395, 4.531774759834216. This is barely visible and definitely not POI worthy. Café Dageraad: 50.99375761751526, 4.535837486955095. Generic pub. Trailmarker fietsostrade F8: 50.992335396280964, 4.529412267975985. A "fietsostrade" is not a trail, it's a road for bikes. Would be the same…
  • Should we keep posting rubbish entries in this thread, or is Niantic taking a pro-active approach and reviewing things that went live these last couple of weeks? Because today my town was flooded with items such as the gate to a sheep pasture, a generic bar, a barely visible rubbish graffiti, ... Others we've seen lately…
  • Kudos for not having a problem, have a cookie. Aside from "more Pokéstops", can you tell me the difference between the various sports fields of a club, that make them qualify as unique Points of Interests with their own value, and not just duplicates of each other, by adding a number behind it? Are they for a different…
  • Saying there is a fence in between is irrelevant - of course there is a fence in between, otherwise players would keep hitting the balls on other courts and disturb other games? The Point of Interest is the Tennis Club itself, a place to play or watch tennis. You do not go to "Court 3" specifically because it is prettier…
  • You would need evidence that it can be used all year long for the sport, i.e. fixed goals. If it's just a grass field the rest of the year, then it's a clear example of a "temporary/seasonal" Wayspot
  • You have to think about what the actual Point of Interest is and what people are gathering for. Fields for different sports are definitely eligible on their own, since people would go specifically for the basketball court, soccer court, volley-ball, ... Several courts for the same sport gathered together (i.e. the various…
