How do we get them to revisit 'Portal ingestion rules' again now is the next question ;)

Im surprised nature reserve signs got rejected but it's good to see trail markers going through. I assume the trail markers were rejected for mismatched location before due to 1*s when they should have been 3* on location and if so, hoping feedback saying that will get fed back to reviewers somehow eventually

Well expressed there! I think the community and Niantic hugely underestimate how many submitters and wayfarer users are on the autistic scale. The nature of some of their games is attractive to such people for multiple reasons and it's often autistic people who want to make everything just right with perfecting submissions…

Probably find that a simple comment got lost in translation between tech engineers, support and social media teams like Chinese whispers. Then we try to reconstruct what was meant and that can morph the original meaning even more :D Reminds me of a story I was told years ago working with translating software and…

I have used that line in supporting information myself xD A new nature reserve, well new in that they added a new gravel car park, some signs and a few gates for access along the side. Luckily the gravel car park had a recent satellite view so went through without a streetview. The other one which was a map Info sign by a…

Im aware Niantic deal with those requests themselves but my comment stands as they don't seem to even check gmaps to validate going by previous reports. They only seem to take action on certain reasons suck as school/private property if memory serves correctly. Their extremely high rejection rate was posted here recently…

Niantic reject the majority of invalid wayspot reports. The in-game option to report them is totally useless as they dont look at them at all unless it's in a school or private property. An ongoing issue...

Unfortunately agreements do not always equate to correct decisions. On many occasions the majority get a vote wrong or enough to cause a rejection and the percentage needed to reject is extremely low compared what's needed to accept in my opinion. The system relies on the wisdom of the crowd method of usually if you ask a…

Interesting question since people started submitting POI within the 20 metre range while they were appearing in games but now don't since that was fixed
-
Good luck with this question. I have previously sent in Title, description edits and new photos for pubs which have changed names/new ownership but it takes forever, like 6 months+ for the photos to go through. Even then they weren't going over to some games. With Niantic rejecting 80% of invalid wayspot reports it's…

Both sounds good! At the moment the report invalid POI is totally useless for all but one or two reasons which get dealt with while everything else gets rejected without any actual real look at it.
-
I once submitted the grave of the author of Alice in Wonderland where the church/graveyard owners had put up a sign and arrow pointing to the grave. So that kind of matches what you was asking if only for a single POI. Of course it was rejected...

Inconsistency? I thought they consistently rejected every invalid waypoint reported via the game lol :D

I personally believe that each country needs it's own rules due to small differences that make a huge impact on nominations. If only that was easy to implement and control... Trail posts and cycle routes is one such thing that are so different between countries. We don't have the mile markers on the same way as you mention…

Mile markers are usually stone and should be accepted. If it's like a wooden one that says somewhere is 3/4 a mile in the direction, that makes sense. The trail marker has so many related questions so great to see some of them added above but another nuance is this one I got rejected. Im not sure if it should be accepted…

Also, it needs to be done properly and take in to consideration people with a lot of agreements may be part of organised groups tactically voting, either for agreements or team bias. As well as prolific voters who have huge stats but also wrongly reject some things regularly

In rural areas the roads are the road sometimes. I had a brewery/pub rejected for no pedestrian access despite the supporting photo showing people sitting down having a pint outside, so clearly pedestrian access. The face the road doubles for people and cars doesn't mean there is no pedestrian access. Another was a old red…

The way way to limit extreme situations with trail markers every 10 metres is to only allow identical trail markers if they are at least 50 metres apart unless they are at a junction or where paths split. In that scenario, no minimum distance counts. Just a suggestion. I would prefer there not to be such a rule because…

It's just appeared so was on the 10:30pm'ish sync time. Im fairly sure there is or used to be a regular morning sync too. I'll let you you next time I notice
-
I think multiple servers deal with accepted submissions as before I have had two accepted within the same hour halfway through the day and once synced the next day and one the day after. It was the one accepted second that synced first. So maybe it's related to that if yours synced ok today. Just would have expected it by…

Looking at the games I can see a few legit game reasons for having a space limit as well as a few financial reasons for Niantic. In ingress, having a ton of portals densely packed and shielded could be difficult to attack and take down if the right shields and mods are put on and if the other team recharges too. It could…

Like above, I like finding areas with no wayspots and giving that area something although the constant barrage of wrong rejections has dampened that fun to the point it becomes a frustrating and not so fun. I stopped voting on wayfarer submissions for a few reasons but both related to how reviewers are finding reasons to…

We have ancient chapels and buildings in cemeteries in the UK and they are often POI in the game. Trying to get new ones in, especially graves of famous people which are allowed get wrongly rejected now though. I have one for the grave of the writer of Alice In Wonderland where even the church owners have made a sign…

The first of my appeals only happened a week or two ago while others had more than a few appeals done so it seems pretty random or by area it's happening. You can filter in Wayfarer by "in voting by Niantic" to see if they are voting on them at the moment. I assume they have something like 10 staff voting on submissions in…
-
Im torn about a delay but a few times it would have been handy for the reasons stated above. The best option would be a tick box to say you don't want the current submission to go straight in to the voting queue. Kind of a temporary on hold queue. Then either 48 hours after submission it automatically goes in to the voting…

I have one still in Voting from September 2020. Another 4 still in voting from early 2021 and plenty after that. And yup, most new ones get accepted/rejected fairly fast. There are still 3 or 4 from the first half of 2021 yet to go with in to voting along with more after that. New submissions usually go into voting within…

The only stats I am interested is what percentage of someone's appeals were accepted by Niantic votes and how many times a person voted to reject portals which Niantic accepted on appeal...😉
-
I feel you and you are certainly not alone on your feelings towards bad Rejections. Having frequented the forum's a while it seems that the issue isn't just the system but the people voting too and their sense of power and righteousness in their decisions even though it flies in the face of how Niantic want them to vote.…
-
For what it's worth the photospheres I did in the lastvfew days have appeared and work fine on gmaps on android Needs to be fixed but...at the same time submissions shouldn't get rejected because reviewers should only be 1*'ing if it could possibly not exist and 3*ing if they just can't see it. If reviewers were doing it…

In before the golf course gets rejected as a sensitive location/body part
