I know what you are saying and understand it. Also understand you just want to help. But...photospheres are not needed or required, no matter how many reviewers demand it in forums. No one should have to jump through hoops to appease a group of hardcore reviewers who wrong 1* stuff when they should be 3*'ing. I am a firm…

I think I know why our area is fighting a losing battle with rejections now. SogNinjaMan who in these forums says he rejects 90% of submissions and is the pickiest reviewer I have come across for rejecting for no reason is in my area and likely voting on them. With it only taking a couple of bad eggs like that. No wonder…

While we are at it, can for mods do something about all those posters who make posts support rejecting everything for no valid reasons? Tongue in cheek/many a true words said in jest 🤪
-
It's still fits the criteria of a place where people socialise! No wonder wayfarer is broken in some areas the way people think they have a reason to reject everything when they don't.
-
And I totally agree with OP. If you know a bit out large scale database distribution, CDNs, load balancing etc, it makes no sense how it's been done now compared to how it was. Im guessing someone at Niantic during a meeting brought up limits of how it was done at the time and suggested this huge project that required many…

The real question is why did they disable the appeal button when it less code adjusting was needed to change the appeal time from 1 day to 30 days than remove the option...

Despite the fact it's a UK submission and likely to be voted on in the UK, no matter where they l they count as a place where people socialise so eligible for submission. They are fairly unique looking, often in old buildings and spread out (not grounds for acceptance by itself) in the UK so I can see if some countries…

Feel free to show your submissions here but be prepared to have your perfectly fine and suitable submission pulled apart by perfectionists, voters who expect way more than needed as well as people who are just trying to help get your submission through but at the same time are reinforcing what the bad reviewers are wrongly…

It's not the main club house but a secondary outhouse bar used mostly in summer. While many would lie and embellish the information about their submission to trick/get it past voters who have decided them and their discord/telegram/whatever group decid e what gets accepted, I won't submit wrong Information

Im fairly sure the mismatched location is from players choosing 1* on the location part of the review rather than choosing it as a rejection reason. The no pedestrian access would be a choice for rejection but pedestrian access is clearly visible Rejection reasons are supposed to help reviewers, not make them guess why it…

Do people not socialise at all bars around the world? Or are there bars that say you must go alone and not speak to anyone else? Sit back and think what you are saying. Unless there is a genuine other rejection reason (I can't think of any at the moment), bars should be accepted for common sense reasons. Not rejected…

The whole point of the original post is wayfarer voters should be doing what Niantic wants, not what they decide they want to do in regards to location scoring. Your suggestion is submitters change to do what reviewers want which is not how it should be. That is why there will be constant threads and bickering over this…
-
Everyone knows that bars are places to socialise, it doesn't have to be said. It's reviewer's with your attitude which I think are as much as a problem for wayfarer as organised agreement groups, ingress team area voting and abuse voters. Sometimes things are so glaringly obvious they dont have to be spelt it. If certain…

Its great you do that, genuinely. What we see in the forum's and the reason this thread was started was because there are loads of people rejecting as invalid location / 1*'ing every trail marker without a photosphere, wrongly. But many people say they do this because in another completely different location someone else…
-
The reason the supporting photo was taken that way was to get the path and sign in together as the path can be seen on satellite view and easily verified. That way no one could say the location was wrong... When I see descriptions like that it looks like an advertisement or overselling of a POI. If I can't find history of…

It's that going in to every review with a negative view which is another rot in the wayfarer system and voters using their own rules. Unless you can see a reason that the pub is closed down, you should be accepting it as a place that people socialise. Expecting someone to prove a pub is open just to stop you rejecting is…

My only incentive now is I enjoy finding things people haven't found yet, so mostly they are in the middle of nowhere which encourages me to visit new places and go on long walks. When pogo first came out, I did do some local submissions so pogo would have more stops and gyms but more for other people than myself. Ingress…

I'll post it as it was rejected with a location reason and this thread is about reviewers rejecting on location wrongly.
-
I agree. I also don't think people in cells that vote fairly realise the problems there are in other voting cells with bad voters. A lot of my stuff goes in to voting just 24 to 48 hours after I submit it these days so it's harder to go back in to wayfarer and edit with more detail once im back home with more time to look…
-
I get what you are saying but where does it state in the wayfarer guidelines that this has to be done? If it's something Wayfarers expect but have no right to expect, because they decided this themselves, and his shows how Wayfarers think they make up the rules and are wrongly rejecting thinking they know best. If there…

It's hard to know if it's reviewer's voting 1* when they should be voting 3* or just the rejection wave problem some of us have in some cells. Here is the rejection for the golf pub I submitted nearby around the same time and mentioned in a post above...how the location is inappropriate is beyond me
-
Great reply. It shows how someone can honestly look at a submission in depth to review and with good intentions but still make unintentional mistakes. 1. Im not sure why this wouldn't be called a trail marker. It marks the trail and says on it...Deepdene trail. It's not the start of the trail, that is marked by an info…
-
Thank you for that! No matter how many bad reviewers disagree with me, it's there in black and white from Niantic
-
A common misconception from someone who gets a lot of accepted nominations in a row is that people who get rejections are doing Something wrong. You need to understand that the area and cells you are in determines who gets to vote on your nominations and some cells have problems with voters who reject everything for…
-
It's not easy to see the bar on satellite view I agree but im sure something should not be rejected based on that, especially as you can see the concrete path and it's distinct shape in the supporting photo which matches with the path you see on the satellite view. Unfortunately I had a short moment there so no time to…
-
How does that equate to "no Pedestrian access" or "mismatched location" rejection reason?
-
That's part of the point in making though, reviewers are coming in with the attitude that because someone somewhere has faked one before, every one else has to have undeniable triple proven trail marker submissions to be accepted. This shouldn't be the case and Niantic have said so themselves. If a 5* is yes, we can 100%…
-
There must be another set of rules or clarification somewhere because I remember reading that you only 1 star if it could not possibly be at that location or you are 100% sure it is not there. Otherwise 3* it as possible but not confirmed. Submitters who submit often remote trail markers in places they rarely go so can't…
-
Ultimately, to make Niantic money.
-
While I agree that as things stand, 15+ appeals a month are needed for constant submitters in some areas as things stand, ultimately it would be better to resolve the issue of why so many good submissions are getting rejected (it's either Niantics system for how many votes are required to reject a POI or its bad reviewers…
