Ta for that info, followed the link to delete the auto saved drafts but it's going to be a pain to have to keep finding that link and deleting drafts I didn't want. Weirdly the repeated post that annoyed me last wasn't a draft so im not sure if there is two issues here

That is just how phones focus when you have something close. The background doesn't matter if it's not in focus as the Trail marker is the important part/anchor point/POI and it's the surround photo that is used to primarily to prove the location, not the background of the main picture although it can be used as additional…

Why rumours like this exist and are believed is because it feels very much like such a system exists when some areas see so many good POI rejected on a regular basis. I certainly believe the system could be setup that badly by all the terrible rejections I see. Niantic need to re-think their system as more and more people…
-
I get rejections like that pretty much every day of week which is why I am seen here complaining quite often. Here is today's rejection, which did actually have a typo I could have fixed but 'not culturally significant'...
-
To someone looking at the picture, it does not look like anything special or something on the list if what should be accepted. Your best option to get this through is what someone suggested above, describe it as a social area/plaza etc. Im Not sure if Google maps has it marked with a name you can use? Maybe try and get a…
-
Because reviewers are a fickle bunch, I often submit a boring sign as it's more likely to get accepted and then add a better picture after with the Add Photo option after it has gone live
-
I wish someone would tell voters in my area that trails without names are acceptable. I wondered if Niantic had some AI rejecting submissions as URLs in supporting info, any mention of school in the name or description etc were getting rejected but it really is just hoards of bad reviewers. Just creates 5 times the work…

Im in the UK and there are lots of estates near me that have no footpaths either and people walk on the road. People who live closer to towns even 5 miles away might not even recognise that houses exist without pavements between them. Many of these estates are low traffic and low speed and the roads are used to walk on but…

As others have said, all but the third should go through. You might have difficulty with the 4th one too as many people will reject information boards that have nothing on them. It is still an info board though and will have had/will have local info on it at some point but many voters find any silly reason to reject…
-
Good chance that is correct. Does not mean those reviewer's are good. Could all just be in a chat group where they have decided they are going to vote against certain things despite Niantic stating they should accept them. Or getting agreements with others who automatically reject stuff on hospital grounds be not knowing…
-
Thank you for resolving this. Can I make the suggestion that when removing obviously faked submissions, the person who submitted gets a mark/ some points (depending on severity) against their names. Once they hit so many marks or score their submission ability gets removed, or some similar system. Because at the moment…
-
Agree. If someone has most appeals overturned, give them more appeals. At the same time , give marks to those who wrongly rejected the overturned appeals and use those stats to educate those involved or stop the actual abusers being able to vote. Get the stats during the process. Use those stats to better the system
-
Not a single appeal of about 30 of mine has been looked at or has the 'in Ninatic voting' status. Still have a few more 100% shouldn't have been rejected submissions to add to the queue so this is going to be a very long process and I can see people just submitting many again if they are close by.

Had that problem this week many times. Stuff I posted is back in a reply box at the end of the thread as if im about to post it. I have been trying to highlight the text/select all and deleting it then having to separately delete any images or quotes. It's been a royal pain to do this every time. I thought a browser update…
-
It CLEARLY states that you should only rate it 1* if it could possibly not exist in that location. It's very simple but you continue to justify your mistake in giving them 1*. To simplify it as much as possible, a case of a 1*/could not possibly exist is say a submission of a playground surrounded by miles of desert…
-
It doesn't matter whether you agree or not, you are a bad reviewer if you are giving trail markers you can't see 1* instead of 3* because you are going against what Niantic have told reviewers to do. That's the problem with bad reviewers....they think they know better and can vote differently to how Niantic wants them to…
-
I guess that is how they sold it, as being an anchor for the open space, no where near it but near their sofa (yes it's a sofa POI)
-
Yeah, I see that being an anchor is one possible reason to get a street name sign accepted. Which was does answer my question. It doesn't apply in this case. The grass behind it is about two metres by 5 metres (literally a grass verge) and the nearby park is a POI and any unrelated green is past that, no where near the…

Had a unique non-chain/single location gym here rejected 8 times despite Niantic saying these are fine because they promote excercise and not a chain
-
Thanks for clarifying, I didn't think I was missing anything. Multiple people have reported it but Niantic think it's fine and don't remove it, which is confusing. No wonder people submit stupid stuff is they see things like this existing and knowing Niantic do t remove them just reinforces that Niantic think they are ok…
-
I think Niantic might be seeing how well people use this new system to automatically reject POI in the future and give feedback to submitters and reviewers. Imagine someone submits and chooses shared flats, the submission goes through and if voters select to reject it as a private residence, it reminds them that shared…
-
They would, they did
-
I think good reviewers who put thought and effort in to a review forget that there are so many who don't put in any effort in at all because they are speed reviewing for upgrades or something else. So I think feedback would be useful for serious reviewers who have got in to a way of thinking that something that should get…

Rejected as a body part
-
Technically you are correct, wayfarer is for independently building a POI database for Niantic to use in its games as they see fit and for selling the POI database to 3rd parties. But the majority of people don't and wouldn't contribute for the sake of a reusable database, they do so because they feel they are contributing…
-
Totally agree. Take away the appeal option from those appealing obvious rubbish. Those with a high percentage of rejected submissions should be dealt with too but needs to be part of a bigger analysis in case they are having the submissions in their area tactically rejected by Wayfarer cabals on the opposing team. That's…
-
Great news! I hope some info is being logged as to what areas/users are getting many appeals overturned so that info can be used to spot problems and abuse which can be used to improve the system/restrict abusers. I suspect some of us deserve badges for how many appeals will be overturned...
-
It's you guys wrongly 1*ing instead of 3*ing causing unnecessary rejections
-
I think I proved a point about the toxic people on this forum with the down votes on that. People really do think their choice of what should be a POI supercedes Niantics. For tweet: "Just because something had School in its name does not mean it's K-12. Drama schools, Music schools, Performance Arts schools etc are…
-
"Remember to vote on submissions based on Niantics rules and guidelines, rather than what you or people who live on the wayfarer forum think should or shouldn't be portals"
