The very quick rejection of one of my submissions was because AI determined it was a duplicate of another wayspot already in the system but I couldn't see it in the game I was submitting from. It wasn't in the game as it was too close to another wayspot. It's possible something similar has happened.

Wether anyone* P.S, The forum is so broken with pre-moderating that no one's wants to edit small mistakes because they know the post will disappear in to a moderator hole of unknown length of time. Maybe one day they will fix this....

At the same time, wether finds those submissions as insulting is subjective too. We don't want to be in a position like we had recently where statues were historic statues were pulled down because someone got upset that the person depicted owned slaves in the past for example. Or instead of spending money and time trying to appease overly picky voters, either appeal it and wait or keep re-submitting (with an explanation about reflections) until you don't get such pedantic voters. You shouldn't have to do all that stuff when it's perfectly acceptable as it is.

There are lots of banner missions near me where you can do 6 missions/a full banner in about half a mile of walking. Takes 10 to 15 minutes. Don't know about the particular case you mention but just wanted to point out that the miles & amount of missions can be much less than even the 40 miles you stated.

I wonder if these reasons are the same reasons some are rejected by Niantic. Would explain why a walk between historic pubs, aka pub crawl routes, have not been accepted 😉 But why would a drinking place along a route not be acceptable when many pubs are wayspots because people socialise there? 🤔
