All I see in that complex that's recognizable as eligible is the Playground area - and both Playground areas are already in game. The only "pavilion" I see is a few sun shelters for parked cars, and the entrance for the youth center and basketball gym has no legible signage or indoor photospheres. If the sidewalk is marked…

You can appeal more than one rejection, but only after 30 days has elapsed since your last appeal. I have two appeals pending right now, neither of which is in Voting. It does sound like your pavilion might not be visible in street view or reviewers cannot match the background detail in the supporting photo with what they…

I saw that Facebook post (after specifically looking for it based on this thread- I have a healthy dislike of Facebook overall) and was dismayed to see both the OP there and a few others just accept it as a normal situation, or express jealousy about the number of convenient Wayspots. I'd much rather hang out with a group…

Only one simple reason: the effort of creating an Ingress account is the only barrier right now. Most people I know that use Intel or IITC outside of Ingress gameplay are, of course, Wayfinders looking to get something on the map in Pokemon Go. They use the IITC cell overlays to ensure that their waypoint will show in…

I'd love to see a Lightship-based map, but am wary of the potential misuse. In Pokemon Go, Niantic has steadfastly resisted any type of mapping effort, including maps for gyms or raids. If a Lightship map was introduced, many may use it to find new or rarely-accessible gyms, which is the Pokemon Go equivalent of…

They do promote exercise, though. Maybe not a great place to exercise depending on your viewpoint, but still eligible per criteria. I do think that individual sports fields and plastic playgrounds are uninteresting candidates, and I'd much rather see a public work of art or historical site in review, but...they're still…

Mine were gone at 18:30 US-Eastern time, and came back shortly after 19:00 - not sure if it was just Ingress nominations that were gone, but my four "on hold" and one appeal were definitely missing, and I know those were all Ingress noms.
-
And after numerous refreshes, logouts, logins, etc - they all came back. Weird, but fortunately temporary.

My old suggestion did not receive enough upvotes to make the AMA in question, but I think it applies here: https://community.wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/discussion/comment/44761#Comment_44761 One point that's alluded to, but not stated outright, in that post: given the requested dedicated URL field in submissions, there would…

None of these are low quality photos. Even the bridge, although not taken at Reviewer's Preferred Time of High Noon on a Sunny Summer Day from a Straight-on Perspective, uses its angled view to show the markings/decals on the bridge uprights, the safe pedestrian access (footprints in the snow), and the necessity of the…

And then I hit the Enter key and make a new blank comment in my enthusiasm for the topic!

I don't understand a word of the updated criteria. It was a Criteria Obfuscation, in my opinion: total vague garbage, where anything can be twisted to meet "requirements" given an average vocabulary. A Disc Golf course is a great place to exercise and be social, but not if you're standing at a single tee box or hole. Then…
-
Nope - like Disc Golf Courses, a single waypoint at the logical point of access is fine - like standard Golf Courses, where an entrance sign or clubhouse can be acceptable. I think that marking additional POIs (like baseball bases, or the football yard lines in my example) as duplicates of the overall anchor makes perfect…

Every time I try to tell other people around here that some things aren't eligible, they reply with "but they get accepted so I'll keep nominating them". It's frustrating. I'm tempted to nominate the fifty-yard, forty-yard, and 30-yard line of every football field around here: they're well-marked, encourage exercise, and…

A lot of the candidates pictured might be on the outside border wall of PRP and if so, the rejections are fair but that might not be understood by the submitter. "Outside PRP" can still be rejected for PRP reasons.

No, I disagree. It's ridiculous when so many people suffer for the actions of so few. if there's spam, or trolling, or any other stuff going on exclusively on weekends, why can people not just flag it as spam or abuse and not feed into the negativity? That would allow people in need of assistance to get invaluable advice…

Ahh, I do think we're agreeing on this matter. In my examples, a Pioneer or Settler cemetery, with no active interments for many decades, might be eligible as a Waypoint for the overall site as a historic place. For the active cemeteries, it might not be the cemetery itself that was the eligible spot - but the interesting…

Hmmm....so there's a possibility that this same person also "liked" their own posts, or those of their associates. That doesn't mean the Like button should also be removed. The rule-minding community shouldn't be penalized for the actions of rule-breakers. This is why we can't have nice things!
-
I don't think adults are guaranteed to act respectfully in these places. However, in some rural areas (another hot-button topic) the only interesting, historical spots may in fact be pioneer / settler cemeteries, which serve as a valuable resource for amateur genealogists and remind us of the origins of these areas. I…

I'd love it if Niantic could provide some guidance on community involvement, including demonstrations or tutorials for kickstarting community projects that could lead to more IRL POI for various communities. Maybe hopeful submitters can help with Eagle Scout projects, other youth organization efforts, or get involved with…

Why -ambo? Did the full title get blocked for containing a mildly naughty word in the middle? I want an official explanation for that particular choice of abbreviation. 😁
-
That's just mean, Niantic. A bad birthday prank.
-
Incentivizing reviews or coordination of voting blocks through in-game rewards with a cash value - that's not an appealing concept to me, and I feel it will create more abuse opportunities. We definitely could use more tangible stats, visibility of Niantic Wayfarer Profiles on the Social pages. Maybe attach degrees/levels…

I just had a Redacted submission in review today, from North Dakota I believe. First one I've seen in a long while! Apparently you're not alone in limbo-land.

Sure - I tend think in terms of Portals, not Pokestops or Gyms. I like unique portals with good clear photos because they make for a better First Saturday portal puzzle. I tend to agree more with posters here who either play Ingress exclusively or play both games, at least a fair percentage more than some who play Pokemon…
