Removal criteria are different from eligibility/ineligibility criteria. Even a garbage bin won't be removed if it doesn't meet something on the specific and limited set of removal criteria.

I live in the Middle East where weather is very hot and dry most of the year. I do not think drinking fountains should be eligible. They're an extremely generic and extremely common piece of street furniture, akin to street lamps. Than again, I notice that when I get reviews from Cyprus, all drinking fountains there seem…

Wishing smooth shipping for the new features! I'm extremely curious to see exactly how they'll be implemented.

Okay, my bad. Having checked further, it does seem that the sign the states "Irit Park, Irit Street" actually exists in the park called Kalanit Park, located on Kalanit street, and not the actual Irit Park on Irit street. (At least as far as I can see relying on old photos in city located over 100 kilometers from where I…

Nope, nothing new for me. On the contrary, more and more people seem to be getting this bug. See this thread
-
None of these will ever happen, I'm afraid. "direct link to allow the creator of pokestop to share it with their friends to vote if this pokestop does not meet the rules" - Well, for starters, needless to say that the rules are there for a reason and Niantic would never encourage anyone, or give you tools, to specifically…

I think the Location Edit Appeals subforum is probably a better place to post this. Good Luck!

Thought of this thread when encountering this nomination just now: And when seeing in the duplicates map that this obvious liquor store has actually already GOT a wayspot. Really wondering how the hell it got accepted. Even without the title and the photo - it says it's a liquor store right there on the sign. And yup - as…

Thank you as always. I have noticed that the first reported wayspot - The Irit Park sign - is still located in Kalanit Park instead of the location I've provided for Irit Park as it appears on Google Maps. Is it a sync issue or did the team decide against moving it?
-
There's a daily (or rather... frequent, because some days get skipped sometimes) Ingress sync since recently. So, assuming your nomination doesn't clash with anything else, it should appear when the next sync occurs. Doesn't have anything to do with IITC, which is an unofficial tool. More to do with the Intel map (the one…

It just doesn't end... Location Stolen photo (on the right) appears on multiple websites, including this one
-
In addition to what Farix said - it doesn't last for very long either. You should get a handful more nominations 30 minutes after the message appears. But after you exhaust those you'll get the same message again... so I recommend waiting at least a few hours.

"Private abuse reporting chat widget in the Help page (FINALLY)" - lighting ALL my prayer circle candles in hopes that it'll actually happen this time. 3rd time's a charm etc. "Wayspot category 'what is it' feature update" - I think this is a great opportunity to make this into a bit of a filtering system. Say, if someone…

Hi @NianticGiffard, looks like the abuser is resubmitting the fake wayspots Niantic has removed. This is the same synagogue that actually exists in the city of Ness Ziona - #1 on the list in my original post. The abuser is lying in the supporting information, claiming that "it was built in 2020 but for some reason doesn't…

Niantic is too slow and stubborn to remove old ones and now new submitters and voters see them and think they are ok and they are being added again. This applies to so many things. Aerators are really just the tip of the iceberg.

Location Photo on the right is a stock photo stolen from Alamy. Note that I've already reported this wayspot almost a month ago. Seems that the photo I've reported was removed (since it didn't show up in this review), but now the Alamy stock photo is there.

Looks like there are still new ones coming in... Location: 31.264664,35.226579 (PRP or open field right behind it) This seems to belong in the Tarshis street playground, where a wayspot named "נדנדות תרשיש" ("Tarshish Swings") already exists. I've reached that conclusion considering the nomination is titled "Tarshish…

Got another one - Location - 32.4836,35.108413 (just across the street) from the fake Roaring Lion from the previous post) Note that the main photo is a cropped version of the supporting photo (just as in the fake reported in the previous post - common in fake nominations). Couldn't find it on the internet but there's a…
-
The rejection reason is right there (although the text isn't the most comprehensible) - it was rejected because reviewers couldn't confirm the location of the nomination. You can confirm this in the rejection email for the nomination as well. I guess there's no Street View or satellite/aerial imagery (in sufficient…

Location Photo on the left stolen from here.

Location Photo on the right stolen from here. The description was also stolen from the same webpage.

Just to add another country to the collection - Jordan this time: That's the Muwaffaq Salti Air Base - here's the nomination's location on Intel.

Hi @NianticGiffard, just a quick update that after sending a geotagged photo via email for the sole remaining wayspot, all 3 wayspots have now been restored and are back in Ingress! Now just praying for the Sync Lord to allow new wayspots to appear in PoGo sooner rather than later...
-
Oof, totally forgot that I could also contribute examples to this thread. Here's an Israeli one! Just stumbled upon it. From the Hatzor Airbase. On a side note: a few days ago I found out until recently, there was an actual American law forbidding high-quality satellite imagery of Israel in order to protects its sensitive…

Hi Giffard, I suspect the No'am fakers are back yet again: I 100% remember seeing that photo in a completely different review - not located in No'am, of course - but I can't remember exactly where it was and I can't find it anywhere, unfortunately. It might still be in voting, or rejected - these abusers have stolen photos…
-
The e-mail states I've got 5 business days to send the geotagged photos, so I think I should make it back to the area in time to take those. I will update if anything doesn't work out. Thanks again!
-
Thank you! Looking forward to getting updated on this.

This special nomination is also another great example for this bluntly ignored bug.
