This is a technical note, but the West Bank is incorrectly marked as a body of water in the world map in Casey's post. 😅

I agree with you. I also think that the beauty of the game is to explore new real life locations. It's also why I enjoy using Wayfarer - because I get to see things I would never have explored on my own. Sadly a lot of people care more about having easy access to portals/pokestops than about exploring. And currently it…

This is not the first case I've seen of people reported for serious abuse being allowed to keep making nominations. So your report makes it 3 cases I know of overall. This is disappointing to say the least.

And another one... Coordinates: 31.72354,35.221471

Hi Casey, the summary post seems to imply that Niantic doesn't consider the situation where users with devices set to English that receive rejection emails that don't contain reasons, a bug. Is there a chance to get an explanation for why that happens, then?
-
Hi @NianticEG @NianticGiffard, it seems this abuser is still active. I've just stumbled on this nomination: ...Which is a duplicate of an existing wayspot that's located about a hundred meters away. The coordinates of this nomination are 31.7219,35.230284, and the already existing wayspot is at 31.722335,35.231162. Seeing…

HI @FrealafGB-PGO, thank you for your ideas! I've tried putting "art" in the title before, as well as updating/not updating (the most recent time, with the rejection reasons I've listed above, it was upgraded). I can try tweaking the title again next time, it won't hurt, although I doubt it'll help either. The truth is…

I've been receiving several emails that don't contain rejection reasons, in English.
-
Thought I might provide an update on this. Still getting rejected, several attempts later, over the course of months. The most recent rejection reasons are "The real-world location of the nomination appears to be on private residential property or farm, Photo appears to include a recognizable face, Nomination does not…

Much appreciated!

This is really starting to look like a lost cause, but I figured I can try one more time. It's been months, and there is still no concrete solution (or even just an explanation) to the "There are no nominations available to review at this time" error. Per @NianticCasey-ING's past suggestions, I have tried: Putting at least…

Thank you!

Another addition. Coordinates are 31.723332,35.221556.

That's horrifying. Jesus... Have you filed a report via the abuse form? Problem is those supposedly take a while until Niantic takes care of them, and the thought that more reviewers - young people - will see this photo...
-
And another one... Coordinates are 31.721229,35.217253. Also reported via the form as always.
-
All very good suggestions - may I also add automated reverse-image search for photos? There were several cases where I reverse-Googled suspicious photos and found that they were stolen from third party sources.

There's something similar in my country - waste bins in many playgrounds are shaped like animals (always the same three identical models - either a bear, a frog, or a dolphin), and people nominate them as "special playground facilities" even though they're just waste bins. Now these wayspots all over the place. But my…

Ah, I've just encountered another nomination from the Jerusalem case. So you can see there's an ongoing theme with the same supporting information and same faked location (luckily this is another case where there's Street View available). Coordinates for this one are 31.73537,35.19526. Will also report via the form, FWIW...

I wish no one knew I was here. Unfortunately I know for certain that "my" local abusers are actively following my activities here. But I doubt Niantic could foresee the lengths some people are willing to go in harassing others when they made IGNs act as usernames here.
-
That's a good idea, but in the case there's a unique painting on a waste bin, wouldn't it be more accurate to tag it as a unique painting rather than a waste bin? Since it's the painting that has value, not the bin itself.
-
Thanks, I really appreciate your offer. It's a complicated situation since those people have told me that if they ever see their abuse reported here again then "I'll pay for it". In this point I'm waiting for Niantic to take real action against these people within Wayfarer. The abuse team knows about this situation. That's…
-
You're very kind. Unfortunately my situation is a bit more complicated than just being hated locally. I've messed with the "wrong people" (mods of a large local Wayfarer group, who also run multiple accounts so have a lot of influence on Wayfarer by themselves) who encourage reviewers to reject my nominations as "revenge…
-
You're right! It seems to be VERY different.
-
I'd love for Niantic to give us an official explanation for this. It happened to me a few times and it's always mind boggling.
-
This happens to me frequently - the best solution I've found is rebooting the game, or even the phone. It's temporary, as the problem still randomly occurs later, but as a temporary fix it works.
-
There is no way you can submit separate structures in a single play area and make them all appear in-game while being in their exact location. Those structures are usually only a few meters away from each other. You'll need to do some serious location abuse to get several to appear. (It's common practice in my local…

A great AMA. Very informative, and provided answers to some issues that bugged me, as well as hope for future solutions. As others have commented here before, I must add my own worries about the removal of the "generic business" rejection reason. I can understand the sentiment behind it, but I still think this is a very…
-
Respectfully, just because you haven't personally experienced something, doesn't mean it's not a major issue for several other people.
-
"No single reviewer (or handful of reviewer) should have the authority to torpedo a nomination. That's a power that could easily be abused by ill-intentioned people to troll the system." This is happening in my local community. Believe me, it's even worse than you think it is.
-
I feel this. There's a new neighborhood is a city in my country that's full with with playground wayspots (and occasionally basketball courts too). Always the same uninformative one line of supporting information for all of them, so it's probably the same person - or group of people - submitting them. It's a new…
