I feel you. Luckily my rating hasn't dropped yet from rejecting - in my case - abusive nominations that eventually still get approved, but just seeing them continuously popping up as new wayspots is... disappointing. We really need a better, more efficient reporting system.
-
Is it still considered unmoderated if you can report inappropriate comments?
-
Coming from someone who encounters a ton of false rejection reasons, for both my personal nominations and generally in the community - the best solution I can think of is enforcing obligatory commentary on every rejection you make (like when rejecting for reasons of abuse) - and sending all the rejection comments to the…

[EDITED: yikes, I really misunderstood that - I thought you had 18 nominations rejected, not that you rejected 18.] I have absolutely felt the sharp decline in nomination quality the last few days. People submitting the walls in their homes, a whole nomination written in keysmashing/gibberish, people nominating trees...…

I got a bunch too, including a beautiful blank white wall. I guess all those new level 38 are using their new nominations wisely indeed...

Same here.

Can you clarify if nominating different facilities from the same playground (a swing, a slide, etc. all from the same compound) is still unacceptable? And if so, why? It seems clear to me that it should still be unacceptable, but there's a lot of debate about that in my community, and many people still nominate and accept…

Parks are eligible, but only if you take a photo of an official sign marking the park, or of another eligible point of interest within the park (playground, gazebo, etc). Eligible nominations get rejected sometimes. Rejection reasons that are unrelated to the nomination are also quite common.

Just to add my 2 cents, this is absolutely not a Germany-only problem. I've experienced (and still do) similar things with my local community - and local abusers. I too think that there needs to be a better way to handle these cases, especially in preventing them into escalating into harassment. Abuse reporters need to…

I seriously think the team needs to add an automatic response confirming when a report sent via the form is received. I think that at the very least we deserve to know that our reports are seen and that we don't do all this hard work for nothing. Sometimes I honestly wonder if something is faulty with my email or…

Honest question: how is it different than other coin-operated play machines, the ones Niantic deemed eligible?

Thank you for the input Casey, I will definitely take this into consideration with my reviews. It made me realize that most of the business submissions I've been seeing came from big cities (usually saturated with similar businesses - although that doesn't mean that necessarily makes them generic, of course). I'd love to…

Hi EG, are we usually supposed to receive personal follow-up after submitting reports via the abuse form? I've never received anything for any of my reports.

Even turning 90 degrees sounds like heaven to me. Here a lot of people just take the exact same photo of the object. (Not like, an identical copy of the same photo - just moving their phone about 2 millimeters and taking another shot).
-
I'm not even sure the photo was altered in any way. It seems to be it was taken when the sun was hidden - either by clouds, or it was low enough in the sky to be behind buildings - so there was no direct sunlight that could cast shadows, but still enough reflected light to see the surroundings. So probably either early…

I've looked but couldn't find this reply you mentioned - if you happen to remember exactly where I can find it then I'll be glad. Would help with local submissions of smart benches.

I'm afraid so, yeah. Seems like I'll have to keep resubmitting it. It's a bummer, but certainly not the first time I've had to do that.
-
I have. There's often confusion about this in my community too. On the other hand, it seems people don't like it when Niantic's guidelines are mentioned in the supporting info, or when there's "too much text" in the supporting info... making nominations like this seem nearly impossible to get accepted.

Abusers now have a good reason to convince others to let pokestops remain in their incorrect locations, because any other action would lead to their removal. The main goal of both abusers and most PoGo players isn't to submit waypoints in their correct location. It's to have as many pokestops as possible, no matter their…

Thought I'd provide an update on this: I've resubmitted this nomination. This time I've managed to get a much better photo of the unique structure. In the description I've detailed the architecture style, the architects, who the building is named after, and how it's considered one of the most unique residential buildings…

I've went on a long detour today on my way home from work, nominating waypoints I've been wanting to submit for a long time. At the start of the tour, I had 6 nominations available. I've made 5 nominations overall. All went smoothly, all had the "nomination submitted, you will receive a confirmation email shortly" pop up…

Are we usually supposed to receive personal follow up to our abuse reports? I have never once received any follow-ups to mine.

I'm disappointed to see that the current situation in the AMA thread has been allowed to go on for such a long time without mod intervention. It shouldn't have reached a stage were another thread reporting this spam and abuse needed to be made in the first place.
-
It should wear out soon. For me, this usually lasts for 3-5 days.
-
Thank you for including an update on the launches detailed in the Roadmap. I am definitely looking forward to seeing these tweaks implemented in the system, and how they will affect the community and the reviewing experience.
-
That happens to me too sometimes. Often when my old phone overheats. One thing you can try is lowering the size/resolution of the photos via your camera's settings. Sometimes it's hard for the game to deal with large files.

52 sold... yikes.

Thank you all for your insights. @Legacy4N00b-PGO - as said above, it's impossible to appeal a rejection - if it were possible I'd have done it immediately. But I understand why Niantic aren't allowing rejection appeals. @Skywalkered-PGO - I was hoping it being an apartment complex wouldn't affect reviewers, on the grounds…

Seeing as IITC isn't an official Niantic product, I doubt you'll get useful feedback on that here...
