He might be on vacation. He might be on a sick leave (there's a pandemic after all). Might be something else. He has got his reasons for sure. Personally I don't think we're entitled to the staff's personal lives. We'll know when it's relevant for us to know.

I know from my public reports done in the forum that it can take a while, especially for complex reports, and I don't mind waiting (as long as I know it's on the team's queue and will eventually be taken care of). It's the fact that I can't make other reports at all while waiting for the current ticket to be closed, that…

Thank you, glad to see the feedback is noticed. To add to my 3rd complaint from the original post - I've currently got an open ticket that I've first sent 4 weeks ago, and is still under investigation. I don't mind the wait itself, but the fact that I'm stuck being unable to file any different reports in the meantime is…

Mine is finally showing a local wayspot again, but I'm hearing it's back to cupid/spider for many others.
-
For most people, but not everyone.
-
It's definitely a good candidate, but I'm still yet to have seen anything "better" than the series of nominations with raving apocalyptic/religious text that I used to see from a specific location for a while.
-
Agreed. It's probably very confusing for submitters who've never reviewed anything at all, and have no way of knowing the explanations behind the rejection reasons.
-
Hello, @Nandhakumar000-PGO. Are you looking for help?
-
Brilliant, thank you! And happy new year!
-
Hi @NianticGiffard, is this still under investigation?
-
I'm confused. In the past, when I have reported similar cases (separate wayspots for each piece of equipment in a single playground) as duplicates, all my reports were rejected. I came to think it's an eligibility thing (rejecting new nominations that are duplicate) and not a removal criteria (meaning Niantic won't remove…

Hello Giffard - apologies for the delayed response, I was waiting for the weather to get better. Here are the geotagged photos you've asked for - I've included the house numbers in each photo for extra evidence (as you'll notice the GPS signal for "The House of the Rising Sun" was drifting a little while to the other side…

In a matter of minutes, a few of us on Discord have already found a bunch of new ineligible wayspots without even trying. Duplicates of existing wayspots. A wayspot for a whole street - hundreds of meters north of said street. A wayspot with a website address in the title advertising some sort of private consultant. And…

That's how it works. Only Niantic can let pokestops retain their status when moved to occupied L17 cells. When it happens regularly via normal location edits, pokestops disappear.
-
Hi @NianticGiffard! Any chance you've got an update on this?
-
I'd happily volunteer is translate/help translate WF to Hebrew.
-
Took a closer look at this. When zoomed in, it's pretty clearly photoshopped. Also take notice of how the text with specific personal information is much sharper and less pixelized than the rest.
-
To speak bluntly, I think Niantic's main focus here is money - breaching into untapped/poorly tapped markets to maximize profits from massive population centers. I have no doubt that Niantic is a lot more interested in Turkey's population of 80+ million, Brazil's 200+ million, and India's 1.3+ billion, and their respective…
-
For me, the main source of doubt is that there have been smaller Foursquare imports since the big Turkey one - IIRC mainly in Finland and Russia - that had also resulted in some terrible new wayspots; despite the community already having had some very strong reactions to the Turkey affair. Niantic's refusal to take…
-
Together with Farix's topic, I think we can possibly unify this into one question: is Niantic looking into updating their current removal reasons/criteria, specifically the options available to users while reporting wayspots in-game? I think letting users also add comments in their own words explaining their in-game…
-
I'd also like to add that Niantic often create clusters themselves, by moving wayspots (more specifically, pokestops) that were deliberately misplaced to their correct locations - but letting them retain their pokestop status (even as they break Niantic's own density rules). Thus encouraging abusers to keep nominating…
-
Okay, I've tried out the private abuse reporting chat - a bit disheartened that you can only report one wayspot at a time, and can't start a new ticket until the previous one closes... there are instances where multiple abusive wayspots are connected to each other, or when there are multiple cases to report (even if one…
-
Same. I understand the limit, especially during this initial phase of the feature, but it still sucks. Especially with nominations that have already been rejected several times over a long period of time.
-
Interesting update, especially regarding how the appeals system works. Thank you for sharing! Re: the new abuse reporting chat - what does it mean for the Google form? Should we now use the chat feature rather than the form?
-
It says "New Idea" for me too. I'm using Chrome on PC.

Agreed re: wells. Recently I got to review a well in a remote village which truly seemed like a local POI with actual importance to locals. I'm inclined to review that sort of water source favorably. A generic drinking fountain in a moderately/highly populated area? Much less so.
-
Unfortunately this is far from the first time I've seen a child submit selfies or photos of their friends. I wish there was a way to report that sort of nominations for quick removal, it's a shame that they stay in the system for days or weeks (or even longer!) before they're finally rejected.
-
Well, the drinking fountain in the photos isn't located in a trail. It's in a park in the middle of a residential area. Again, I really don't think it has to do with the weather at all. I think it's just one of those things that communities decide to accept regardless of Niantic's criteria, which happens pretty often. I…
-
It's not that straightforward. You can try submitting that drinking fountain if you like, but it's up to you to convince your local reviewers that it really is a good candidate. I'm personally not convinced (the same way I'm not convinced about pet waste stations...) - but then again, like I said before, there are some…
