As far as the water fountain goes, I don't want to tell you that you're wrong. I want to tell you that it's contextual. In a developed city, sure. That's not interesting. In other places, not so easy to say. I just read a long article about rural towns in my region that struggle to have drinkable water. In one tiny town,…

From the AMA: Natural features were previously explicitly excluded from eligibility but are now listed as examples of good Wayspots. Can you provide more information about any requirements for these locations? Good question! It’s true that these are now up for consideration as eligible Wayspots. Famous waterfalls and…

It is even more impressive when you realize he's very new to reviewing. Just good at video presentation and listening to good advice. I try not to jump on the bash Niantic train, but judging from review feed, the load could be easily reduced 20% with some decent education efforts around submitting and reviewing.

1. If it's a marker on the trail, sure but if it's "the trailhead is that way" then no. 2. Eh, doesn't seem good. 3. Nah 4. Nooooooooo. 5. Is it temporary?

5* all the way down from me.

Your answer is in your email. You can't speak this, you can resubmit.
-
Use some logic. Obviously you don't want any watermarks that show some third party copyright. User tags are obviously bad because submissions are deliberately kept anonymous. Camera or phone tags are basically micro ads for the device, so obviously Niantic isn't going to want that. Date tags are just not attractive, and…

It does seem possible you could turn the extra poi into a visible thing that would show in nearby and have spawns but not have an in map tap interaction function.
-
Also, the "What is it" items is NOT a list of eligible items. It contains many things that are explicitly not eligible such as elementary schools.
-
In that case, they are in my opinion absolutely valid. They are in fact the pre-digital version of poi. Mountain top logbooks were mentioned in the past as valid and these seem to serve the same sort of purpose.

@Kuleisbjorn-PGO Are they actual post boxes, as in the post office employees pick up mail here, or do people just leave notes for other visitors?
-
If they're on the sidewalk(or even gutter) in front of of a single family home thats a prp reject, just like an lfl.
-
Niantic isn't just taking anything in this thread and automatically sending emails, they're looking at things here, and the ones that they decide need a response, they send a response. My review feed is constantly full of things that should never have been submitted. We need less of that. If people stop submitting entirely…

Got my ingress rewards and wayfarer upgrades.
-
Mine get worse the longer a chain of rejects gets: Lfl on prp: Please stop. Elementary school: You didn't even look at the criteria. Next lfl I am getting a headache now Playground Did you really think you were the first person to think up the title Poke Playground? Seriously? No thought about maybe why they aren't all…

That's not a requirement, in the last couple weeks I've spotted sponsored gyms on an independent game shop and sandwich chain that has two locations.
-
This is some egregious garbage.
-
Chain stores are totally eligible to sponsor a stop. If your local game shop is a chain, you can suggest it to them.
-
Oh god, he doesn't even bother to close the trunk of his car.
-
Got it now, I'm good.
-
Hey now, I moved mine over before the event officially started.
-
Also stuck.
-
I do leave comments, and they can be snarky.

Lucky for you there are sub forums for this! For invalid: and for location edits: https://community.wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/categories/location-edit

As someone who plays disc golf, yeah, using the basket as a poi is a bad idea. A raid group gathering around it would make the hole unplayable. If there isn't a sign for the course, the first tee box is an ok proxy as it's normal to have groups of people waiting their turn near the first tee.

The topic of this thread was for clarification on how reviewers should handle submissions under current guidelines. If you want to argue about the guidance itself, could you make your own thread?
