Yes. This became a normal thing about a year ago I think in order to combat location editing abuse. Probably around the same time they reduced the distance you are able to edit a poi.

From the November 2020 AMA: Similar to before the criteria refresh, swimming pools at private residences or hotels (or other similar residentially-focused locations) are ineligible. Other than that, pools would be a great place to meet and that encourages exercise and should be considered eligible. This includes public…

Definitely. My thinking that is also the result of reading the full description under that header in the Rejection Criteria. I do find it worded weird, like how would we know a wayspot is marked for removal until it’s actually removed?
-
I believe the AMA says municipal swimming pools ARE eligible, it is the residentially focused swimming pools or hotel pools that are not.
-
I thought it meant you shouldn’t resubmit a wayspot that was live (in-game) but removed by Niantic.
-
Oof that title. I don’t know why it would be rejected as soon as you submitted but if you re-submit I would change the title to “Betty Nansens Allé Accessible Outdoor Gym”
-
I agree with your agree. They took the bullet point titles from the Rejection Criteria but a lot of these make no sense without the additional information. But overall I enjoy the infographic and think it is a step in the right direction!
-
I don’t know if I would consider it “gone” from the actual criteria. It falls under the Does not meet eligibility criteria in the “What to Avoid” which is not expanded on in this infographic.

This photo definitely gives off the vibe that it isn’t just a regular coffee shop. I’ve never seen a playground area in my coffee shops.

@NianticTintino I would like to expand on this question that a few others asked as well. Are you planning on providing a real time map of all the POIs in the Lightship database? Are all accepted Wayspots entered into the Lightship database or does Lightship have proximity rules of its own? If a POI is accepted in an…

Niantic announced they will not be resetting locations before or after the Brazil event. But if you are still stuck in Russia, Giffard has been actively resetting those locations in this thread: https://community.wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/discussion/21189/removing-russia-from-bonus-location#latest

Wayspots that don’t appear in pogo are not always a result of being removed from the game. Usually, they are in ingress but don’t fit the density rules to be brought live into pogo. This is definitely a problem that has been brought up before and in the above post Niantic stated a duplicate check was coming to pogo: New…

There are already a few topics that have multiple questions. For example, turn around times, access to the lightship database, and future Wayfarer Challenges. I can appreciate you casting a “vote” for each additional question but I do also hope you can compile all of the questions regarding a topic as someone might have…

Yeah, if that is the main photo I would definitely be rejecting. They specifically took the photo with the dog posed in it, maybe the dog isn’t what they are nominating but it’s definitely one of the subjects in the photo. I think both the Live Animal or Submitter Identifiable rejections work here.

If I believe a submission I’m reviewing fits the criteria and deserves to be a poi, I will not rate it less than 3 stars in the historical/culturally significance section, or really any of the other sections. I would think of it more from a cultural aspect. A park where people from the community can gather or events are…

@RebelDad313-PGO I don’t see where you answered if the nomination was actually Upgraded or just Upgrade Next but I think it is still in Upgrade Next status. You do not need to waste countless hours reviewing but I do encourage you to stick it out with reviewing for a little longer until you do actually earn your first…

Does the nomination say “Upgraded” or does it still say “Upgrade Next”?

As someone who actually enjoys sphere-ing, I’m still going to have to say no to that suggestion. Today, I specifically chose to go to breakfast at a restaurant that opened 2 weeks ago because I knew there was a mural inside. I got great pictures to submit but having to sphere inside of a new busy restaurant with families…

Yes, they fit criteria. The only way spacing would matter is that if they were all in one distinctive area, I probably wouldn’t accept each individual machine. If the individual stations are in their own areas along a trail of some sort, I approve and have successfully submitted multiple of those.
-
I am still curious if the “Upload Later” feature will have a distance radius in which it can be used.
-
I take screenshots of my point in iitc when I’m there or I guess you could do it in the nomination screen too. There are definitely objects where it’s best to just submit at the location though and that might be when this “Upload Later” function can come in handy. You can place the nomination and then edit/upload it later.
-
Thank you for taking a look at this one! I look forward to hearing your findings!
-
This response is not regarding trail markers as I agree they are innately eligible but I have to disagree with two of the points you’ve made. A copied description is reason to reject a nomination, under the rejection criteria provided in Wayfarer is “Title and/or description seems copied and pasted from other sources”.…

I said it on the other thread and I’ll say it again. I’m disappointed to see this was accepted.
-
Oh yeah, someone else started a discussion around this exact nomination. Everyone here agreed it was 1* worthy and only had differing opinions on the rejection reasons (abuse or temporary were the main two I believe). I’m disappointed to hear it was accepted.

I’m happy with my available submissions. When I first started, I was pogo only and eagerly learned ingress for the extra submissions but now I find myself rarely using my pogo submissions or using all of my ingress submissions.
