@Hydraulinski-PGO How could I have corrected it "years ago"? Pretty sure we just got the option to submit location edits in PoGo a few months ago.
-
I believe you can type in the search bar u/sugarstarzkill. I post in the wayfarer forum there too.

That's a good distinction. Yes, this one looks to be on someone's lawn, not a communal space. If a mobile home park has some sort of communal areas, like a gazebo or basketball courts, I feel like those should pass. But the one pictured, since it is on the lawn of a single family home, I'd lean towards rejection.

I am actually really confused that this was on purpose. I don't think I've ever heard anyone complain about the pop up for "review next/home". I sincerely hope that they have made it so you can later review the nomination you left off on. If not, I can see that creating issues, especially in places with very few reviewers.

I literally was telling a local player not even a month ago to not mess with relocating our main Ex gym. It is genuinely very mislocated (it's a statue of a soldier, but is probably 10-15m off) . Correcting it could actually create an additional gym (it would move into a new L14 cell, allowing a new gym to spawn in the old…

Wow. Just... wow
-
That is a grey area for sure. Mobile home parks... do they fall under the PRP rules. I'm leaning towards yes (I lived in one as a kid, don't pick on me 😂). But I'm curious what Niantic would say.

If you can provide a lot of personal, interesting info on this person, it might pass. If he did a lot of volunteer work, helped pass interesting laws/rules whatever- stuff like that. If he was just a regular councilman that didn't do anything all that memorable... I'm not sure I'd consider it a good POI. This area is VERY…
-
...there are historic PET cemeteries? That actually sounds really intriguing.
-
I have submitted, and had approved, many cemetary POIs, but they've all been in an historic graveyard, not an active one. If it's associated with funerals, I'd feel weird about it too. If it's NOT, I would submit it. If you're concerned about people congregating for raids, there are ways to make sure it doesn't become a…

I don't consider these ineligible under seasonal/temporary, but what about things like ski mountains in winter or water parks in the summer? They typically only open for a few months a year (depending on your climate). For example, I made some nominations on a small ski hill here. It was a sign for the rope tow that pulls…

I think renaming it makes sense because people really misinterpret what cultural/historical significance means in this specific context. A lot of people rate low on this for things like playgrounds or trail markers, although they are significant to the "community " because they're things used for…
-
It probably isn't intended. Hopefully they fix it quickly

@gazzas89-PGO was pretty sure some of them were still floating around the internet. Mildly NSFW haha EDITED-- removed the link because it actually showed the image. Google Chuck E Cheese smoking h.o.o.k.a.h., one of the first image results. This person has since gone on to work on an **** vaccine, among other impressive…

I would personally accept this, so keep trying. Like others have said, these can be difficult nominations. Some people just flat out don't like grave submissions, while plenty of people also just plain don't understand the criteria. I feel the same as you- I mapped out a ton of my city's history, including the graves of…
-
I like this suggestion. The cultural/historical significance section is misunderstood A LOT
-
This criteria is difficult because "significant enough" is very subjective. Add to that, a lot of people dislike grave nominations due to concerns of being a distraction/disrespectful to nearby mourners. I've had success with similar ones BUT they are located in a cemetary where no one has been buried for over 50 years,…

Wow that blew up- I do consider churches and playgrounds points of interest. They are both gathering places. A sign for a housing development/homes is not a place where people gather together. Maybe there's an exception that proves the rule, but typically the only reason for existing is to announce "this is where this…

So... I went through and looked. You posted the picture once. One person responded to you, but I admittedly don't know Japanese (I believe that's what you said your language was). Some community notice boards are eligible. I'm not sure if you gave the full description and support info you used. Itd be helpful to know what…
-
I would have 1*d all of those for not meeting criteria. They may not be mass produced, but they really aren't a "point of interest" in my opinion. Again, some day I might see one that genuinely looks cool/artistic. But usually they're all pretty bland.
-
I've had upgraded submissions take 7 days or probably more to go into voting. There likely isn't anything wrong. Upgrades do not always push it to voting status right away.
-
Any reviews you do while in red won't count towards the badge. This might be contributing to your issue.
-
It definitely comes of as "check the L17 cells first!" Despite them not wanting to confirm that this is the system used. Very bizarre, indeed.
-
Very odd/interesting!
-
I've never seen this happen, to my knowledge, these "too close" POIs just sort of disappear, cease to exist. HOWEVER- I know literally nothing about HPs spacing rules. I always thought Ingress' spacing was the most lenient, followed by HP, then PoGo. If this is incorrect I'm certainly curious to know more.
-
To be more clear, if I were reviewing this I probably would NOT Mark it k-12, since the explicitly list adults in several places. It seems more like it's open for everyone and "family friendly". As for whether I'd outright accept it, it would depend on the description and support info.
-
Since people keep going round and round about the k-12 thing- I finally went to the link, plus the official site. I copied these directly off various parts of their website : "On weekends and school holidays we operate on a ‘Drop in’ basis, and during school term we run Kids craft clubs, Teen club, adult craft evenings and…

This. This is exactly what I mean. I understand logically there is little difference but in terms of legality, there is. I mean, look at the warnings we need to have on products. Stuff like "do not ingest" on toxic chemicals lol I guarentee it's a liability reason, even if, like you say, it's a one in a million chance.
-
I've already written about this several comments ago. The liability for Niantic is just plain different if they literally encourage/explicitly allow us to accept fire hydrants. If the POI is not part of emergency services, and is just near by a fire hydrant, it would not create the same type of liability.
-
Oh gosh no... that's a hard 1* candidate that is pictured. I could go make one like that right now.
