This hits motivation hard. Motivation is essential for a healthy wayfarer system. I couldn't agree more with this statement and will take it a step further. Both submitters, and reviewers need to know and understand the criteria. It's not only the clarifications here on the forum that matter. But also the wording of…

I thought we moved away from "this is eligible" and "this is not eligible" stances unless it meets the specific rejection criteria, to using our best judgement? This clarification seems to contradict using our best judgement and reverses a long standing consensus of what types of trail markers are worthy of considering as…

Here is another that AI/ML completely whiffed on. Identifying info has been censored in the screenshot.
-
The first submission was rejected for temp and natural feature. I intentionally waited a couple months for the end of fall to take new photos so that it would hopefully be more obvious that it was not a natural feature. I also tried to get an angle for the main photo that showed the base of the topiary to point out that is…

Have to agree with some of these comments. And I dislike defending Niantic. But that post crossed a line beyond just being critical of Niantic. It came across as harassing and borderline threatening. I was also very concerned regarding the amount of identifying information included. It took me less than a minute to to…

@NianticRN Hello, What is the Scanner you speak of? I think you may be somewhat confused. I submitted a report via the new report abuse form. The ticket number for this abuse report and a screenshot of the email itself are in the original post. I did this because the "HOA memorial" way spot is a nomination that I reviewed.…

Been a few weeks since I posted this appeal. All the necessary information has been provided to prove the title I made an edit for is correct: Barney Fountain.
-
@NianticLC Been a week waiting for a response. Any help?

I had the same issue over a year ago. Niantic, despite their promise to look into it after begging for several months, was of no help as they never follow through with looking into these issues. The only thing you can do is to link a new or different account to Ingress/Pogo, and then use that account when you submit a…

I cannot believe a bug as irritating as this has yet to be fixed. It sure show how much the Wayfarer team really cares about the user experience.
-
Bumping this again. @NianticGiffard

@NianticVK @NianticGiffard Any chance at taking a look at this?
-
Yes. I have noticed constant log outs throughout the day now. To the point where it is not practically every time I reload the Wayfarer site I have to log back in. Quite annoying.

Hello! I am Sunkast, a Pokemon trainer from the US. I enjoy long walks through the forest to catch woodland Pokemon. My dream one day is to meet Professor Willow in person.
-
I have noticed this as well. It's becoming a little irritating.

Hi @NianticGiffard I genuinely believe the Wayfarer team should reconsider this position in regards to artists. In my honest opinion there is a fundamental difference between adding a tag not related to the nomination itself and the tag for an artist for a work of art they have created. I have met several artists over the…

I couldn't agree more, and second the request to reverse this action. I have had the pleasure of meeting several artists over the years who paint murals. While I happen to know their real name, often times they sign their work with a tag or pseudonym. These tags are part of their brand and identity. Some of these murals…

Agreed. Not too mention when appeals do finally begin to be processed, there is likely to be some appeals for noms that have already been resubmitted and possibly accepted. This would only further to slow the processing of appeals. I am sure many of those who have resubmitted a nomination they have appealed would like…

I really do not appreciate your interpretation of my post even after several clarifications to your very illogical reasons.
-
Did I ask for it to be removed? No. I asked that Niantic look into the spamming of the same nominations over and over again.
-
@Gendgi-PGO Agreed. As well as getting the new abuse reporting tool finished. I really dislike reporting abuse here on the forum. As anyone can see, it just devolves into an open discussion of others arguing criteria and what is abuse. Yes I know there is a Google form for reporting abuse, but cases like this don't really…

To clarify, all of these nominations are in voting after the owner knew his shop was already accepted as a stop. They clearly have spammed Wayfarer with so many nominations for the same shop that there are still multiples of the shop still in voting, or they have continued to submit multiples of the same nomination since…
-
To add to @Gendgi-PGO's post of examples: this is a local stop that clearly should have been rejected. It appears in Pokemon Go, but like the others noted above, it does not appear in Ingress at all. I have no idea how the heck this ever got accepted with such a clear reason to reject because of the description. I would…

Niantic clearly ghosted us and this very real bug on their end. Just like they ghosted many others with very real bugs posted on this forum time and again. It has now been 3 months since my in voting nomination was upgraded. It is still in voting. I fully expect a make up upgrade for the failed make up upgrade that was…

I couldn't agree more with this post. It's quite appalling the lack of any response to what is essentially in many Wayfarer's opinion a botched update. Just to compare, look at Twitter's response when it made a couple small UI changes about a week ago. Twitter users were immediately complaining about eye strain and…
