The difference is, because Niantic say so. They could say they only want to accept POI's in a location ending in a vowel if they wanted to, and you would still have to accept it. It's their game and their rules, end of
-
They do advocate for them to be removed, but the perspective is different. People do put requests in to get them removed and then appeals if they are rejected. You just don't see it happening as removal requests go through in game as per procedure, where as you're trying to get something aproved against policy so you're…

Out of interest was the picture that was included with the submission exactly the same as the one in this post with all the superimposed writing on it
-
A park water meter? Well the non permanent rejection reason is wrong. Should have been 1*, rejected as doesn't meet criteria. Seriously don't resubmit this as a POI. Whilst you may have seen worse POI's that doesn't mean it is right or acceptable to submit equally awful POI's
-
Err what exactly am I looking at here? The picture looks like a metal box stuck on a random brick pillar. Honestly it looks more like left over construction debris
-
@NianticTintino , seriously fix these pathetic filters. You now can't even write the name of two of the former US presidents without it being redacted. Its both amusing and pathetically sad
-
Poor quality photo lists the reasons you got as possible examples they are not definitive reasons. Having said that, your photo is, well, poor quality. Im assuming you took it at that angle because straight on it was completely obstructed by grass / foliage? Taking it at that angle really hasn't helped your case at all,…

@NianticGiffard , @NianticTintino can we do something about re rising threads from the crypt. This was almost a year old and was done and dusted, now its surfaced from the depths. Can't we have a lock on ones where there's been no action for 9 months ir something.
-
Ahh you mean the random quoted text in a sentence completely out of context and without saying its the rejection reason. I'm spotting a pattern here, your POI was named totally out of context with your submission and the description. Instead of moaning at people trying to help you perhaps it would be better for you to try…
-
It would save a lot of time and effort if you just upload a pic of your rejection email
-
You have never said what the rejection reason was
-
And the rest of the points I raised? You're focused on the picture when that is just one of the issues with your submission. And really the picture is not great, its passable but it's not great, maybe you should consider the criticism instead of blankly dismissing it
-
Ok, from the top The title and description dont match well, you have called it John Philip Sousa, but the actual poi is the location where his mum was born, he is only mentioned in passing in the description, so the title isn't relevant. The picture while not totally awful is not great, there's no reason to take the…

No one is discriminating against military families in the slightest thats pure hyperbole.
-
@Eneeoh-PGO Heres a street view link to where the POI should be, you can't see the sign due to the out of date SV but you can match up the telegraph poles, and the nearby fence. https://maps.app.goo.gl/gkmnht1pnehseRYK8 As you can see the POI is located at the corner of a road where as the path for safe pedestrian access…
-
The blackstuff is tarmac road, with junction dashes on it, its not a path
-
That is not a safe POI as per Niantics definition of safe pedestrian access. They have very strict rules regarding whats safe, probably to stop them being sued, and standing in a road doesnt meet the criteria
-
If this is your offical stand on it then why weren't the criteria guidlines updated with the refresh later that year ? As it is what you have written here is still in contrast to the official reviewing guidlines on the Wayfarer site which says only to reject if it interferes with the operation of a military base. Seeing as…
-
Generic memorial plaque, unless your support statement had lots of details about why this person was important to the community its a 1* submission.
-
Interestingly only one of those shows up on Intel so if they are both showing live on Wayfarer then its a Lightship issue. Further to the request to thin them down, is there going to be a way to raise this kind of issue in the future directly on Wayfarer instead of having to ask on these forums ?
-
Except it is a Pogo description, its written in exactly the same context as the support statement. Also gym trainers is not the name for people who go to a gym to work out, a gym trainer would be reference to people working there, which then makes the description even more nonsensical. Either way the description is either…

Hold on While this is literally a trash candidate in every sense of the word why are you going to take action on this wayfinder when you have @NianticDanbocat active defending the submission a dog waste bin being submitted. Either both the wayfinder and Danbocat need action taken on them, or neither do, you can't have it…
-
Have you got anything more recent to show its been moved? That article is from 2012 saying it will need to be moved if eveything goes ahead, theres nothing confirming the action was actually undertaken
-
Exactly this
-
1* rejection before even considering if its a valid candidate. You put an ingame reference in the description.
-
Niantic also internally review points of interest that were previously clarified as being invalid and others that had in-game references and approved them. Niantics internal reviewers are currently being retrained due to the shockingly poor job they are doing. It has nothing to do with toxicity, your submission was not…
-
You have completely missed the point, its an arrow sign next to a road, exactly what Niantic have said in the above thread as being generic and uninteresting. You seem convinced that your candidate is worthwhile while almost everyone else had told you its a 1* reject. Feel free to re submit it, just don't be surprised if…
-
Meh, boring generic cycle sign next to a road, 1* candidate. See For why the one you have submitted would be considered generic and an unworthy candidate
-
Pictures on flyers on a noticeboard should not cause a rejection for having a face in the photo. However that blurring would be classed as a low quality photo. Whats the original?
-
Oh for expletives sake, the censorship on these forums is stupid. Hey @NianticTintino , don't you think its about time you can get someone to look into the truly pathetic and stupid word censorship on these forums. After all this time you've still redacted your own forum rules, you know the ones we're meant to read and…
