The Wayfarers who are most mad about reviewers are the ones putting up the worst nominations. After all the threads and all the feedback and all of it ignored, it’s time the OP’s complaint circus came to the end it deserves.

I reiterate my gratitude that Niantic is not looking to “correct” anything in my hometown.
-
I’m not entirely sure where this came from so I’m not sure who originally posted this but it doesn’t look or feel like an official Niantic announcement, so I’d say there’s some cause for skepticism of some of this text. “Report” might be more accurately called “marked,” such as a part of the POI that needs improvement (or…

What a trash post. Be ashamed. You’re blaming reviewers and there’s, like, one good nomination there. Cemetery locations aren’t eligible. Memorial benches aren’t eligible. Memorials to unremarkable people aren’t eligible. Learn the criteria and improve your nominations. You are the reason for your rejections, not reviewers.

I never nominated anything I thought I would vote against, but early on when I didn’t know the criteria very well I got a few things approved that I wouldn’t vote for now.

The above (deal with the reflective building by going in on the sign; add evidence of your story in the form of external links in the supporting), and also… When I put that address into Google Maps and tried to grab the nearest street view, this is what jumped up: Conceivably this might be the source of both of your…

Let s acknowledge that there’s a spectrum of text quality here, in which some is probably acceptable and some is not. Something like, “Playground in the park, safe pedestrian access for all” probably loses a star, but can be reasonably corrected via edit. Something more like, “You can get here by walking up the trail to…

Just a note that nominations of new restaurants should be rejected, though “temporary” is not the main reason. Restaurants only meet criteria if there is something extraordinary about them, such as awards won or community involvement. A new restaurant won’t meet that threshold.

Would an island that is entirely submerged at certain tides even have anything on it to qualify as a POI?
-
Maybe you should reference the post the other commenter was asking about, not the OP.
-
Yes, I was thinking Chinese, my apologies for getting those mixed up. I remain unconvinced that a rock meets criteria, even when deliberately placed. Maybe - MAYBE - the garden as a whole, but safe pedestrian access remains an issue. The Niantic example of unsafe pedestrian access is the middle of a roundabout, so this…

Yeah, that’s PRP.

Hard disagree on the comparison.
-
And yet they’re still more interesting than the majority of trail markers…

I think someone would look at that collage and think that disjointed images will help prove something. They won’t. Anybody can take an image of a tennis court and an image of a second building and put them into a collage, that doesn’t meant they have anything to do with the subject. That said, make the plaque the primary…

Best way to prove they’re not temporary is to give the date they were made and explain why they are on display in apartment lobbies. Lacking that information leaves a significant hole in the story of these banners, one that reviewers have the right to doubt.

That doesn’t look like a “zen garden” to me; a traditional Japanese rock garden have 5 large stones to represent the 5 virtues, the largest of which is the justice stone because justice is the greatest virtue. But that doesn’t look like a Japanese garden or even a garden at all; it looks like landscaping, which would be…

My opinion is that it’s PRP. :|

Niantic reviewers are individuals using their best judgement, same as community reviewers. Two different reviewers, two different results; not surprising since it’s not a slam dunk submission. That said, PRP does not seem like the best choice of rejection reason. Feel free to resubmit, but it’s an uphill climb and a long…

This is what it looks like on the nomination screen when a spot exists, but not in Pogo. It’s not the greatest marker because the color doesn’t really grab you, but you can see the Wayfarer pin, then tap on it and you’ll get a pop-up of the name and image of the POI. This is very effective when the pin is in the correct…

1* - does not meet criteria Gonna need a subject that’s not a memorial bench.
-
That kind of collage is not unhelpful. That’s a random set of images that may or may not be connected; one doesn’t lead into the other at all. The supporting should show the subject in a larger context, so a collage supporting needs to visibly show the clubhouse, or at least the photos need to have some common reference…

1* temporary/seasonal These are lovely neighborhood beautifications, but I’m sure they are up for observance of Memorial Day, and will be changed out regularly: for Independence Day, Labor Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, et al.
-
Yeah, it could be eligible, but that response illustrates a reviewer understanding that this nomination is up against: ‘benches don’t qualify, tables don’t qualify, so a bunch of benches and tables don’t qualify.’ This can go into the criteria clarifications forum and get debated for a thousand comments, but no matter the…
-
Niantic is unlikely to respond to this. The system is meant for “local reviewers” to determine the criteria according to their local customs and understanding. The lack of “local reviewers” in rural areas is the fly in this ointment, but remains unaddressed to-date. Personally, I’d be in favor of relaxing some of the…

Since, like, 75% of submissions are PRP or generic businesses, this is likely just going to make more players mad in a shorter period of time.
-
Wait, the problem is “need stop plz” in the supporting and not the part where the Wayfarer deliberately lies to try to make the submission appear to meet criteria? Gonna have to disagree on that.
-
“I admit I cheated and deserved the ban, but I accidentally identified myself. Please don’t hold me accountable for that mistake.”
-
Yeah, my guess actually would have been that it was taken from behind a car window, which would qualify as an image rejection in review but wouldn’t meet removal criteria.
