I'm sure that's frustrating, but personally, I'd rather hike to a fake stop over hiking in an area with great candidates but no approved stops due to a mediocre review system.

A lot of "disagrees" but no comments. I'm genuinely curious about this. Let's take the Dutch Bro's Coffee Shop as an example. Even if it's a generic chain, what's the downside to having that location in game? If the only issue is the word "PokeStop," why deny the entire stop vs. simply changing the text?

That's fantastic! If only all reviewers were just like you! I started reviewing earlier this month. Only around 300 reviews so far. Started in "good" and still in "good." Have you found the time spent reviewing 27k candidates to be worth it?

I appreciate your comment and understand what you're saying, but honestly, why care if locals lie? Is there any harm in the fake waypoint? If yes, I'm sure the pristine process in place will have it removed in no time. Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I'd rather see some fake waypoints get through over seeing real…

What's the downside to having these stops in game?

It's disappointing that the current system is so slanted toward making locals justify why something is worthy of being a stop. If locals find something historic and/or special, who am I or anyone else not from the area to say it isn't?
