What a weird comment. actually @Traell3-PGO the update is that Niantic are slowly starting to work through older subs. There has been some movement but not as much as the community would have liked to see. It’s still limbo but older subs have a better chance of being seen than was previously the case

What if the gameboard only changed for those cells which have different points of interest that can’t go live due to the rules of the game? That way a low density area wouldn’t be disadvantaged at all
-
I voted Yes. I believe it would help show people who aren’t involved in Reviewing what other locations are already in lightship. it would provide more reason to submit candidates that can’t go live in any game due to proximity reasons

In the last AMA they dodged a question of mine they didn’t want to answer. It’s frustrating when we take the time and effort to word the question carefully so the community gives it the support but it still gets annoyed. then again looking at those answers they barely answered any of the questions they did acknowledge,…

I care about an interesting point of interest system. I’m at nearly 600 accepts now because I do my research and thoroughly check the areas I submit. So don’t say I don’t care about community growth because I took my town from 5 gyms to over 40, 2 villages with 100 people now have 4 gyms each. I’m making gyms in tiny…

Because you don’t care what the point of interest is you only want moar stopz
-
Niantic have said this before, this isn’t a new revelation. just because something is eligible doesn’t mean it will definitely get accepted or that every reviewer has to give it 5* or else
-
I guess a good example is the blue cycling signs. Niantic have said these signs meet criteria as they point the direction and people can exercise along the path. Local knowledge now comes into consideration and the locals in the U.K. overwhelmingly have concluded that despite these signs being eligible we can see that The…

Since these AMA’s always have repeat (or very similar) questions and some questions which are silly or not applicable then maybe for the voting stage next time you could go through the questions and pick out some interesting ones and condense some questions for us to vote on.

When OPR started the objective was to find and review Points of interest, there was a heavily implied element of Quality over Quantity. Over time things have changed and now the bar is much lower for what meets criteria. do you feel this diminishes the database at all? Are companies looking to invest only interested in the…

You’re unlucky it’s not a dog **** bin 😉
-
Current trend is if you don’t like the answer to a question then wait a certain amount of time and ask again. Niantic seem to be getting more lenient over time (some recent things they’ve ok’d are very 😬)
-
And they’re back at it again, whatever action you took last time against the submitter obviously wasn’t enough @NianticGiffard
-
@RobWaudby-ING can you explain this one? There isn't even a NCN marker, it’s just a direction sign yet you’ve submitted it and trying to use @NianticGiffard’s answer as evidence that it’s acceptable when thats 100% definitely not what was said. you are twisting the clarification we got and you have made Kings Lynn as a…

I walked 30km earlier and found many interesting points of interest in a very rural area, maybe if people took the time to walk down every road they would find the hidden gems that no one else has submitted. Too often I see the main roads full of portals/pokestops because that is peoples commutes and those have been fully…

The fact that people have said 5* concerns me a little. When I started reviewing I remember NIAOps telling people on Google+ to use less 5* ratings. Not everything is awful or terrible. I give a lot of things 4* and 2* for generally like and dislike and try to keep 5* and 1* for really love or really hate
-
I walked past this one earlier, nothing else of interest in the park and now I’m worried some idiot will submit it 😂😂😂
-
Yeh was a bit of a challenge, was out fielding and had to get train back from nearby town where I didn’t have any uniques in 😅
-
Tbf it’s not too hard to cap, hack and keep cycling. Although from experience the cars behind weren’t too happy
-
That’s funny because you’ve completely misinterpreted the clarification in this thread and are trying to twist it to include the generic markers Gifford told us to 1*
-
i hope you did some stretches before that because that’s quite some reach
-
We discovered a long time ago that most submitters only “find something interesting” after they discover they might be able to submit them
-
Look, no one finds a dog bin “interesting”, they will find it useful but certainly not interesting
-
That’s a stupid thing to say 😂 it was originally a “point of interest” system. The idea behind that was that each portal/Pokestop was somewhere with special meaning and helped seperate the game from other AR games which used meaningless locations as their equivalent. the idea was that we would review to the criteria to add…
-
And that’s the reason I’ve stopped reviewing, they clearly don’t care about what gets accepted so why should i
-
I don’t believe a dog waste bin would be eligible either and I strongly disagree with the reasoning they gave. For me it’s another example of the lowering of quality of wayspots.
-
I thought a NCN marker would be the worst type of sub I would see from you but you’ve managed worse. A drainage sign 😂 what a “point of interest” that would be
-
This, absolutely 100% this when I started playing Niantic games one of the really amazing things is that it was built on real world locations and interesting ones. I get that some areas have literally nothing of interest so the criteria got watered down a bit however it’s now taking a dive that pretty much any **** is…
-
Stop making things up, generic signposts are not acceptable and majority of these markers are generic and mass produced and aren’t interesting. Despite NianticGifford not agreeing with you it hasn’t stopped you from saying that Niantic have ok’d the most basic generic signs
-
There’s a Banksy quote which applies here “you don’t go to a restaurant because you want to take a ****” A dog bin will never ever be a “community hub” but there may be bins at actual community hubs
