Being a university building doesn’t fit a criteria in itself, however if you research the building then you may find something interesting about it and use that to submit it.

@Faversham71-PGO its been clearly said by NiaOps that GR and GViR are not eligible at least. They have also said many times in the past that being old is not a criteria in itself.

I went into Red just after PoGo submissions went live and most likely it was because I reported many awful submissions as abuse

Mass produced artwork is a clear 1* and I can’t believe we are even having to argue about this. They are as bad as postboxes but at least those have some obsessives that care about them

@0X00FF00-ING just avoid getting any licence plate in the submission, it’s not that hard. At least you know why your sub is being rejected and can avoid making the same mistake next time

I would say looking at that guide is a good place to start, if there’s a local restaurant in it then use the guide and local knowledge to really try hard to sell it

@trottkopfhirn-ING thank you for the maths on this, so what people are suggesting is they are intending to submit postboxes until roughly 1 in 20 portals are postboxes. (Assuming 2/3 of non EiiR postboxes got accepted) that seems a very proportion of portals to me

it is wrong to mark scout huts as abuse unless they submit it multiple times, on the UK Facebook group we’ve had people who had rejections ask why it got marked as k12 and then people were able to inform them of the rule and others learnt of it by that post.

We are seeing a lot of rubbish bridges in wayfarer, would be nice if Niantic could provide examples of what they think they are asking us to approve if they expand guidance

I do agree, if I was reviewing normally I would have streetview and be able to zoom in to get better view of the situation. But from what can be seen we can all agree this is safe access

Aerial view of the island isn’t really good enough to be sure what was on the island, could definitely **** the pavement so that was what I commented on. Didn’t mean to imply that grass wasn’t acceptable

Looks like there is a pedestrian crossing to the island and has pavements around it. If so there is 100% safe access there

How likely is the fire hydrant to be used? I think common sense should apply if the chance is very small and that a group could easily disperse in an emergency. However if the hydrant gets regular use then it would be a definite no from me

I would love to see some actual examples that Niantic think fits this criteria, this is another AMA question & answer that some submitters have just run with and submitting any rubbish bridge

I think the use of the words k12 is what’s confusing since it’s not the same system in every country, but every country understands university level so maybe the better wording would be along the lines of “reject any education building below university level (American Colleges)”

If it’s high up then you only have to touch the base of the wall, that’s fine. If OP is able to hopefully they can post a pic of whatever it is they want to submit so we can judge whether that is safe access

When judging I try to work out how long it is likely to stay there, if it’s more of a Mural then it’s likely to last longer
