  • The above is an updated sat view. Available from the QLD government. And here is Intel: just happens but most grey portals are pretty much the ones very poorly located to their respective actual real world locations There is a big push in parkland design to make info signs like the discovery trail poi to be accessible by a…
  • Thanks @Jeroenix-ING Light Art yeah that's what it is even though not intended. I'll see if I can get a better pic. Agreed that taking part of the display would make for a better pic; thanks for the tip 😃 @LMSchiano-PGO indeed I don't think it go well. I have been submitting for 4 years. I tend to stick with sure bets.…
  • Oh the old playground debate .... Tbh I think it's pretty weird to blanket rule one poi per playground. Places around where I live have massive playgrounds. Consider Calamvale district park in Brisbane Australia ..... key word 'district' Submitted the four gazebos.... two .... two failed?!?!?!? Waaah!!!!! Would have loved…
  • I'm firmly in the multiple POIs per playground is permitted camp. We have single zoned res for miles and miles here in Queensland Australia. Which make for very poor portal density outside of the city centre. We have massive playgrounds. And we love them here. We have great weather and city councils that love spending big…
  • Was extremely invested in POI discovery but the process is too dodgy and just don't have the capacity to deal with it's madness at this time. Here's hoping 2022 will be a better year.
  • Hey just so you know .... this was my mission.... here in Brisbane we are plagued with single family residence zoned suburbs ... but we have many many many parks. Grabbed a list from the council https://www.brisbane.qld.gov.au/things-to-see-and-do/council-venues-and-precincts/parks/parks-by-suburb did a satellite review…
  • Yeah weird rejections abound .... A RES agent in the Redlands(east of Brisbane) was saying they are also having a string of really weird rejections. Did have a really funny one ....."The real-world location of the nomination appears to have explicit or inappropriate activity" BOARDWALK ON MELALEUCA CIRCUT WALK…
  • Cheers @URWhatUKnowBruh-ING , @Theisman-ING , @Kawhinot-ING Thanks for your kind words. Used to work in government with data .... never in a million years would my department publish such dirty data .... even if it was publically sourced .... clean, accurate and timely data was my thing. So passionate for niagames and so…
  • But you weren't helpful you were 'communicate better'. It was not your place to tell me that. If I want advice on a submission I will ask. My communication was fine. Single mum, a lot on, quick post, presenting a generalised problem and a personal anecdote. Didn't need to write a hi powered highly effective piece of…
  • Lolz why this comment? 1) Many legit portals rejected. You must know this. Just had this one comeback today https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/cjirmAnb4iYVxTjU477giM8VaRA79I4V5kkCULHtRH3lmGJ0Lf8n4d2GbLB3L5ny4wZgFZJF-TFwUkNMnksmUN8i4N44Lvll7Bv_lxNv=s0 It's apparently not cultural or historical enough 2). Neurodiversity has…
  • Spent hundreds of dollars playing pogo to get to level 40 so I could submit more portals. A game that I really don't enjoy as much as Ingress or Catan (builder not collector).... I am such an idiot.
  • Is the wayfarer team considering how to accommodate neurodiverse folk. Sometimes my tendency for rigid thinking has me getting very very cranky/depressed about a rejected poi. 'Just nonsense to have a gazebo/park shelter rejected' loops on repeat around the brain.
  • They have removed it .... Had a key for a portal nearby and can see it has a standby pic. Thank you Niantic. 😁
  • The land looks like it will be developed on the sat view. Your immediate conclusion is within the range of possible conclusions but it is definitely on the cynical end. As the marker is at the tree line of the creek, at the point of estaury where you would expect such a sign to be, and the property has a well defined fence…
  • so the car parks and boat parking the just under Auster street are complete. The walk way over the creek is complete too. The plan to the the north is unrealised at this time.
  • Live 20 kms away from this spot. Not likely to be able to rephoto it any time soon. It's a heavy RES area (not that it matters) and I have 35 portals closer within 4 km of home to submit (- if I could be bothered. ) Wieman creak is named on the map above. title of portal is: Intertidal zone and estuary .... exactly where…
  • Hey I submitted portals for 2 years before finding out the rules for pogo. My local pogo community still got the stops. Just submit some things. If you are really into maps then you can fiddle around with submitting pois and get into all the dramalama. Or you can just submit somethings and see how they go.
  • Indoor playspaces are not unusual the one in the shopping centre over the road took 4 tries over a year. It is of concern to me that the text of the these submissions is being ignored. Hoping i'll get it through with the link to the website.
  • This is a cropped pic. Playgrounds are currently closed here in Australia
  • Argh screen s h o t is a rude word?
  • This is my latest submit. The centre updated it's website to include the playground so i screen shot that as the 2nd pic. Each submit has explained it's a free shopping centre indoor play area. Folks have to do their job and look at all the info!!!! Can't just be the initial pic. Which does have a commercial auror.
  • Fails the uniqueness test. So 'just rules' signs without the parkname are one star. Some "blue signs" as my local community here calls them are portals but they are typically pre opr submissions.
  • I would gave stars for these yet mark the visual uniqueness down a bit. The first example would be a 2-3 star for me and the second 4-5 star. For multiple instances several options... 1,2,3 East, west A,B,C How cool to have an info sign attached to a street sign!
  • Bridges certainly are popular!!!! I've had some success with the ones i have submitted. Even one piddly one that I didn't think had a chance!!!! My local council has this term "shared path way" that big wide pedestrian/bike paths linking urban features. I feel in my mind these paths are like urban trails. ..... i have so…
