Based on what you said about leash laws, there should be something that indicates that it is okay for you to let your dog run free here. If there is a sign at the place, submit that sign. If there is no sign, and no fence with the distinctive dog park entrance gate, and no play equipment, then you are going to have trouble…

Here is the complete quote from https://wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/new/help/niantic-wayfarer-november-2020-ama Similar to before the criteria refresh, swimming pools at private residences or hotels (or other similar residentially-focused locations) are ineligible. Other than that, pools would be a great place to meet and…

@NianticDanbocat is this good advice - to just ignore a statement from Niantic still in the help section of the Wayfarer menu? I know you said y'all are working on updating outdated statements. I am so tired of trying my best to go by criteria but not getting agreements for it.

I have no idea how to count mine for just the year since they spend over a year in voting unless upgraded. And if they are in voting longer than that, I go ahead and use an upgrade to get a decision. Wish we had an approval date on the nominations when accepted as well as when submitted. Also had to resubmit many, many…

I think solving this issue would solve the swimming pool issue for me. The November 2020 AMA, which is currently posted on the help menu, states "Similar to before the criteria refresh, swimming pools at private residences or hotels (or other similar residentially-focused locations) are ineligible." But community pools go…

Just saw that another one I rejected per the criteria go live. I am getting so frustrated by this issue.
-
I used a photo from a townhome one but the "new" aspect is being located in single family home neighborhoods. In my head that was obvious by the individual driveways comment, but I should have stated that. You agree with my position 100%. Thanks for weighing in.
-
I meant for this to be looked at by Niantic but I never know who to tag. @NianticGiffard ?
-
Oh I just looked up this ruling for something else. Still posted in "Help" under "November 2020 AMA" is the guideline from Niantic that "individual pieces of playground equipment that are submitted separately are not eligible, even though the playground at large may be. Rather, the individual pieces of equipment should be…

If I don't have any skips left, I just go back to the Featured Wayspots page and wait for it to time out. I have never received a cooldown with over 27,000 reviews.
-
I think we need to be able to withdraw appeals. Similar to the issue I am having with a nomination in voting that someone else got through while mine was being decided on. If the wayspot goes live, then there is no need to tie up Niantic's time re-reviewing mine. @NianticTintino-ING can you pass that suggestion along? Now…

I see this isn't getting many votes but this is a huge issue for me. The answer from the November AMA which is available on the "Help" menu says "swimming pools at private residences or hotels (or other similar residentially-focused locations) are ineligible." But I see multiple nominations for neighborhood and apartment…

Great post! May want to fix the (auto-correct?) typo of "expected" for "accepted" in the supporting text section. I would add "Do not copy/paste text" here, too. That is usually extremely obvious to reviewers, is easy to check, and gets a 1*. I love the brochure visualization. That first impression is so important.…
-
To add to what has been said, there used to be a "Generic Business" rejection reason. That has been removed, but it is still very hard to get reviewers to accept a business. And when you upgrade, you get a wider pool of reviewers who are not local, so you really have to prove that this is a special, unique place beloved by…

oh i should have posted those links: https://community.ingress.com/en/discussion/17449/portal-nomination-emails#latest https://community.ingress.com/en/discussion/17135/portals-discovered-stat-is-not-updated#latest https://community.ingress.com/en/discussion/17309/discovered-portals-arent-counting-towards-upv#latest

It was reported ages ago on the Ingress forum. Started with anything pulled for Niantic review. Now that the switch to Lightship is complete, nothing counts. I used to post evidence every time I had another approval but have given up. I stopped tracking how many are missing because I don't think they will ever fix it. I…
-
@NianticTintino can you give us the answer to the "What Is It" multiple selection question? The instructions are still to choose the "most specific label" but it is possible to submit with 1, 2, or 3 yes answers. Does Niantic want all that apply, or just one?
-
Oh maybe they couldn't fix the +1 on portals discovered so they just eliminated it. I haven't been getting credit for any that went to lightship, whether it was by niantic review that synced in before the switch, or after when ingress portals started having to sync in once a day. I can confirm that I am getting the key and…

I am in North Carolina but I seem to get more nominations from California than from home. And I certainly hope all those aren't upgrades - yuck!
-
You can also click Yes on more than one and it will let you submit. I am only choosing the best one per the instructions, but I wonder if they want all applicable tags since this is enabled.
-
This really helps with items on the homeowners side of the sidewalk @NianticGiffard, but we really want to know if the "mows the grass" rule for private residential property all the way to the street still applies. For example, if the town has placed an historical marker in the **** between the sidewalk and the grass in…
-
If you don't have anything else to appeal, I would try one of those.
-
To get back to your original question, you used the word "valid", so I am not sure what you are asking. "Ineligible" means things that are specifically prohibited, like locations at single family homes, schools for children, explicit content, hate speech, etc. So if you mean "ineligible" then it does not look like any of…

It can take quite a while to get the email, and some people have been reporting issues with email in general. You can check your Wayfarer account to see if your nomination is there.
-
If it were Ninatic Review Decision, your email would tell you and it would say that on your nomination in Wayfarer. You need to convince reviewers that trail markers meet the exercise and exploration criteria. I always add this in my supporting information: A forum comment by NinaticGiffard states even small trail markers…

Thanks for re-pinging @Gendgi-PGO and I wanted to let everyone know that I have been messaged that this has been dealt with.

This was reported as abuse on December 3 but is still in the system on December 8. My concern is about the child's privacy, not just the bad submission. I am glad so many others are reporting having seen it so it is clear this is a legitimate concern.
-
it's been in the system since at least December 3 and was reported as abuse then, but another friend just got it this morning - agree there needs to be a faster way to get these removed
-
I usually will crop photos so that they will place well on the disc if accepted. Sometimes I will do an auto correct for lighting. I think those adjustments are fine. I always check the photo in my gallery before submitting it. I had some photo rejections when I didn't realize that there were extraneous items reviewers saw…

I am interested in the answer from official Niantic representatives. I hope the rule stands, because typing in these characters could become a nightmare across platforms.
