Using the clues in the screenshot, this appears to be around 40.771981719760014, -73.92261081013089 This is not even a particularly densely covered area looking at the portals on the intel map.

These were clearly not rejected for being bad photos. I only checked the first one for a third party photo, and did not come up with any matches. But I had an automatic AI rejection when the thing I submitted was already a Wayspot in Lightship that I didn't see. If you submit in Pogo, you can turn on the toggle and check…

How did you report the location? In app edit decisions had ground to a stop for a while, but seem to be getting processed in a more timely manner now. I would expect an in game edit submitted in September 2023 to be decided any day now, based on my submissions. You will receive an email about the decision if you submitted…

If you pin something where it isn't so that it will be in an empty cell, reviewers will notice this and move the pin to the correct location. It is abuse to pin something where it does not actually exist. Instead, you should find something that actually is in the empty cell to submit.

Yet somehow the ML?AI did not reject this "dog park": https://intel.ingress.com/?pll=35.822272,-78.884047 The photo is centered on bike racks, has some fencing in the background and a dog's tail in the foreground:…

https://wayfarer.tools/ has the discord link. is much easier to discuss in real time there.

@NianticTintino-ING here is another case where Philo P is involved, and this time warnings were issued. Please check into this. I do not have the resources to check into where the pin was on the original submission, but the live portal is on an object and appears likely to be correct.

If it should be rejected per criteria, but there is no honest way to reject it that makes sense, I just won't review that one. I am down to reviewing around 10 a day when I used to review around 100 a day. Both because of the ridiculousness of a review flow that will not let me mark something as not meeting criteria, and…

There are other conversations going on about this subject. The ambassador follow up to the recent AMA reiterated that these do not meet criteria. If they can't be correctly rejected in the first three questions, the suggestion is to reject them for not being distinct, since they are not interesting. The way the tooltip is…

Sync normally occurs once a day and kind of rolls out. In my time zone (Eastern Standard Time) it is around 2:30 to 3:00 pm. If I get the acceptance email before noon, it will sync that day. If it is after, I have to wait until the next day. Occasionally a sync is missed during events, so don't be worried if that happens.…

Even though I voted that it would not change how I submit edits, it would make me very happy and less frustrated to see them acted on in a timely manner! I only submit text edits now to make corrections, to add more information, or to improve unwieldy or unspecific titles.

I actually tagged Aaron on one of those posts. The person who made them had asked for at least one of them to be removed because they did not realize they had posted a photo with their reflection in it until people here pointed it out.

So you agree that generic business being back as an option to auto reject is not good?
-
No, this is not a temporary display. This is an artificial topiary, not a plant, and is on permanent display. Idk how I would vote on this without seeing the rest of the nomination, but I do feel reviewers should have been given a chance to see this nomination.

Niantic has specifically asked us not to use the Wayfarer app, with the exception of the Ambassadors like J. And the AMA said this will be going away anyway. Pokemon Go has a toggle to check for all Wayspots on the nomination map screen. It only works over a very limited range, but it shows all Wayspots. Ingress does not…

I had not seen that Andis had replied on the AMA discussion thread when I posted this, but he also recommends using this rejection for things that just aren't interesting https://community.wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/discussion/comment/244259/#Comment_244259 So that is three ambassadors telling us the "Distinct" rejection is…

what is your wayfarer rating? it will not count if you are in fair or poor rating. as others have said previously here.
-
Those coordinates are in the same S2 L17 cell as St John The Baptist Church Bell. That means it is not eligible to show up in Pokemon Go. Because it is inside that black (20m) circle, it will not show up in Ingress either.

I am having nominations rejected for "Generic Business" that are not businesses - just like the last time it was a rejection reason. So far today: a town historic site with accompanying signboards, a signless park, and a signless greenway entrance. Have also seen reported rejected with this reason: a trail marker built…

The more I think about it, the more appreciate this answer. If Niantic has made it impossible to reject things that don't meet criteria but do not fall into any of the rejection options in the first four checkboxes, who am I to argue with that? It was an ambassador reply that they normally do not meet criteria, so I won't…

lol i submitted those! totally agree those are good - they have lots more sculptures i submitted there as well. didn't even think of them as neighborhood signs...
-
yep. figured they are much more likely to reply to the question than niantic.
-
What is your stance on generic entry monuments that are nothing more than brick walls with letters affixed to them (for example tract home entry signs) These should almost always be rejected. There are extremely rare cases where perhaps someone could argue that a historic neighborhood is a great place to explore, but your…

Oh, I didn't mention I am in Cary, North Carolina. The whole Research Triangle (Raleigh/Durham/Cary) area takes forever. But if I drive a bit away from my play area, say Apex, voting takes about 6 weeks. And some people on the Wayfarer Discussion Discord are reporting decisions in just a couple of days. It is ridiculous. I…

This is my normal without upgrades. They should be getting an old nom push soon...
-
I had some that took over two years previously, but Niantic is now giving old nominations a push into voting, like a soft upgrade, so no one should have any older than August 2022 currently. If anyone has any older than that, and didn't have them on hold, they should get Niantic to look into it for them.
-
lol didn't copy the question he was answering and don't want to edit it in Does anyone remember where it was discussed that benches in scenic spots are eligible?
-
Searching the Wayfarer Discussion Discord, I came up with these posts from @Gendgi-PGO We know this will introduce more possibilities within categories like ‘generic businesses’, potentially benefiting smaller communities that may only have a generic, but still locally important, business. Or for seemingly common objects…

but this one has "five benches" installed and is clearly not just a lot that hadn't been built out yet. seems like we are getting away from the original point that this should have been accepted by the appeal reviewers as an important place in the neighborhood for exercise and gathering.
-
I got the same response when I appealed a signless neighborhood park. I understand that regular wayfarers may not know clarifications, but would expect appeals reviewers to know better. In my case, a sign was added -- about butterflies -- and with that as the focus, reviewers accepted the park that time. But a sign about…
