He hasn't been active for 10 days, so either he has left, of something has happened on the background.

When I checked it, it was on the side of an appartment building, multi family household location. It also doesn't interfere with a single family household; location isn't on private residential property.
-
Which isn't a fair reasoning; the intention is to have it permanent. The criteria doesn't state easy removable as a rejection reason: "Location, place, or object is temporary, or highly unlikely to be permanent"
-
That not much people share his opinion, doesn't mean that she isn't entitled to have that opinion. And, even although a lot of people think there are higher priorities, from a legal point of view, she perhaps has every right to have this on top of the prioritylist. Don't forget that even an IP-address is considered…

Do you have any references towards the route? For instance, a map with the location, or a website where the sign is described / posted? Without any further knowledge (as Dutch person), it looks to me like a direction marker (and not a trail marker) towards the center of Vreeswijk. Niantic is currently having a very low bar…

Did you contact the DPO already? Because waiting for a response which brings you further on this forum, could be a long wait, and will only frustrate you further.

I would reject those. I don't see how such a colony fall into a great place to socialize, exercise or explore. Especially when you say: "They have special protection where people aren't supposed to interfere with the cats and specific groups are charged with looking after them. But it isn't like you can pet or touch the…

The criteria doesn't state anything on cultural significance, but "Popular restaurants" and "Favorite coffee shops" So it's upon the submitter to prove the nomination falls into one of these categories with title, description and / or supporting text.
-
It depends upon the nomination. In general, fast food restaurants aren't eligible. Restaurants itself could be eligible as a great place to socialize. It depends upon the description and background of the restaurant. Nonetheless, they still remain hard to get them accepted.

A number of tiles were fabricated, and indeed, that is abusive. A number of tiles were part of a community project, without references to any of the games, which is a more grey zone. A number of tiles were part of official trails, including websites, muncipality support, opening by councillor (wethouders), news coverage,…

And that's imho one of the issues with the emails.. They don't state exactly what someone has done wrong. Personally, I'm still a bit surprised all those trail markers were removed. Dozens of street signs, some crappy graffiti is imho more likely to be considered coal and, looking at the other topic, more easily considered…
-
We even don't know IF those trail markers, mentioned in the earlier topic, are the cause of the ban. Niantic don't give any examples, and perhaps the topicstarter nominated the identification numbers on the lantern poles. However, if the referenced trailmarkers are the reason for his ban, it can be a fun discussion over…

The soccer field and the playground could also be eligible candidates. The playground could be a challenge to let them appear in the games (based upon the position of the pin). Regarding Pokemon Go, it covers 4 S2 cells, and for Ingress, with a bit of bad luck, it will be within 20 meters of the basketball field. But the…

I think you can better create your own topic, including the location and names of the waypoints. People over here can help you to determine why those waypoints didn't make it into one of the games. However, this thread discusses a different topic.
-
Why is location a great place to socialize, exercise or explore? It looks like a residential district.
-
Out of curiosity: did you also appeal your ban at https://niantic.helpshift.com/hc/en/21-wayfarer/faq/4275-wayfarer-abuse-enforcement-ladder-policy/?p=web ? To me.. first sending an email with the message that you've got a 30 day ban and afterwards saying.. "Sorry... we meant 90 days. Little typo from our side." sound like…
-
I know that it's quite a guesswork from the Niantic emails, but if that is the case, why would they apologize for a typo if they purposely increased the ban-time from 30 to 90 days?
-
A year is not unusual for some locations and densities. Yes it is long, but when there is no agreement and you're out of reviewers, it can take quite long.
-
Did you also upload the photo to, for instance, Google Maps?
-
@SeaprincessHNB-PGO part of it is also caused by incorrect translations by Niantic in the different languages. In english, they mention as rejection criteria: "private residential property" In Dutch, for instance, they call it: "privé-eigendom", which translates to "private property" In German, the same:…

It still has to be true what the specific poster is mentioning. I haven't seen any proof, perhaps it was an old building with a beautiful history, where now a car dealer is residing. Nonetheless, there are more than enough appeals on this forum with surprising decision / appeal outcomes..
-
They'll also hand out warning to people with a great review rating. If a wayfarer consistently violated the policies, it's odd that the rating remains high and get a warning to read the criteria again.
-
Reviewers will get their first impression from the picture and title, next the description. When they are at the supporting text, most of them will already have formed their (initial) opinion. So it's best to 'sell' the nomination to the reviewers as much as possible, tempting them to do an easy accept. Another suggestion…
-
If they are misplaced, you could make a suggestion for a new location. However, moving wayspots to 'game the system' could be considered as abuse and in some circumstances, Niantic acts upon those. Those inclusion rules are quite strict; I saw a waypoint to appear more or less on the border of an S2 cell. If it was for…
-
Both games have different inclusion rules. Ingress uses a distance of 20 meters. Pokemon go uses one pokestop or gym per cell. As you can see, both waypoints are in the same cell, so only one of them (the oldest) will be a pokestop or gym. Any new waypoints added to that cell won't result in new pokestops or gyms.
-
1). This shares the same S2 cell as "Kranz am Kirchenpark" and as a result, prevents it from appearing. 2) This shares the same S2 cell as "Denkmalschutz - Kreuz auf " and as a result, prevents it from appearing. 3) This shares the same S2 cell as "Bolzplatz " and as a result, prevents it from appearing. 4) This shares the…
-
Each game has their own inclusion rules, and methods to determine which waypoints will (in case of Pokemon Go) become a pokestop or Gym. More in detail, Pokemon Go uses a system of S2-cells, where each S2 level 17 cell can contain one pokestop of gym. Further waypoints in that cell will be ignored and won't become a…

It think it would be a very hard one to have this one accepted, as it currently is. In the title and description, you mention school, so that makes it even harder. The sign should give it a better chance of it being accepted. Furthermore, the title shouldn't state that it is a school. It currently isn't; its an event…
-
That bias is two-way. We indeed don't know how many appeals are valid and the people processing the appeals are doing a splendid job. But we also don't know which percentage of the people with rejected appeals are finding their way towards the forum.

If it is connected to K-12 school property and if that is the rejection reason, they should state it. But they didn''t give it as reason, or even a reason that's close to a K-12 rejection reason. The same as with the 'mass produced item'. If the issue is that board isn't visually unique, because there are way too many of…
