  • Besides the footbridges (which could be eligible at least.) What wrong with the giant panda https://intel.ingress.com/?pll=51.592571,4.99291 ? If you look at google maps and its history, it's there since 2009 (!). Furthermore is quite a large tile as well, around 50 centimeters or so?
  • You could try, but there are other nominations that have a bigger chance. Gunshops / **** areas are considered a rejection with being sensitive / offensive Paintball / airsoft have quite some similarities with these areas, so I can imagine that this wouldn't be the highest one for eligibilty, if considered eligible.
  • Did you had multiple edits for the same nomination? For instance, multiple location edits? Or a location edit, and a title edit, and / or a description edit?
  • As a reference, the following quote: a) A marker with the trail name on the trail <- Excellent b) A marker with the trail name on a street <- Good c) A marker with no trail name on the trail <- Good d) A marker with no trail name on an open green space area <- Good enough e) A marker with no trail name on the street <- Not…
  • We don't know the exact reasoning why it was retired, but at least part of the basketballfield is visible on Google Maps. I noticed that it was quite close to a K-12 school as well (Peuterspeelzaal (PSZ) 't Boterbloempje and 'Openbare Basisschool (OBS) de Ranonkel' would qualify as school for both rejection and removal…
  • In relation to the topicstarter; it's not specifically about the clarity for trailmarkers. It's about the clarity for trailmarkers with regard for removal, or in relation with removal due to the abuse. I'm not sure if we need another topic on trail markers; less than a year a go a long discussion has taken place, and…
  • The topicstarter never mentioned abuse, he only mentioned the massiva removal of wayspots, including that one. Since there had been an abuse going on in the Netherlands, people relate the two effects with each other. Niantic has now to cleanup the invalid waypoints. When Niantic removes all the coal, its logical When…
  • Well, let's turn it around. Looking at the images, this is how I would review those, according to the criteria. I'd love to here at which point the reasoning is incorrect: 1st: Must meet at least one of the three eligibility criteria A great place for exploration It's is a trail marker. Trail markers are eligible…
  • @NianThib could you, with regard to example 1, give a bit more clarification, especially with https://community.wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/discussion/45764/confused-about-trail-markers#latest in mind? In that post, quite a similar trailmarker is discussed, whereas at least some reviewers consider it valid. They are…
  • These trail markers are, at least in the Netherlands, part of various hiking networks. I'm familiar with a slightly different version featuring a red arrow, but that could be due to regional differences or different organizations, and I'm not sure if this is a trailmarker in the Netherlands, but I guess it is. In the…
  • In one of the earlier explanations by Niantic, they mention that trail markers, even small ones, are eligible: "As you are aware, we consider any marker on a hiking trail as acceptable since our goal is to have folks explore. Even a small marker on a trail will encourage players to cover more of the trail if there are more…
  • This topic, and for instance, this post: https://community.wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/discussion/comment/219625#Comment_219625
  • This thread: For instance, this post is mentioning a number of waypoints that could be considered abuse And in that topic Almere came by more often.
  • And looking at the pictures, I doubt if it has safe pedestrian access.
  • There is no such thing as private area as rejection criteria. A rejection criteria is private residential property, not private property. So murals on office buildings could qualify, a mural on an appartment block could qualify, a mural on a wall of a single house is a rejection. A statue in front of an office building…
  • You're offended by what I've written, but it's your nomination that's getting rejected. Not by me, but by the reviewer community. Twice already. You can complain in this topic about the reviewers, finding supporters for your stance. Use an appeal. Even resubmit and try to get lucky. However, since it's already rejected…
  • Safe access is a criteria, not open to all public. So waypoints which are in an enclosed area, accessable by only a limited amount of people, are perfectly eligible.
  • In this case, there isn't any proof that it really is a community garden. To me, it looks like some general plant pots; nothing special about it. There is not a single proof, besides the story of the submitter, that it really is a community garden. And in general, I don't believe a story of a submitter without any…
  • There is no typical waiting time. It depends from days to months / years, depening upon location, amount of stops, wether or not you've upgraded a nomination.
  • Depends. You can post the specific nomination on the forum "Nomination Improvement" to check if there are suggestions to improve. It can be the wording, the image, the surrounding image, anything.
  • Easiest way: wait for 48 hours. Harder way: check for S2 cells (in case of Pokemon Go) and tools like IITC (Pokemon Go / Ingress), or distance between waypoints.
  • To go a bit deeper into the question: Is the location A great place for exploration, A great place for exercise or A great place to be social with others? And even if someone could argue that this is the case, the location is on private residentual property, so that would be a rejection criteria, regardless of permission.
  • I don't see the waypoint in the Wayfarer app at that location, but at the new location. Ingress still has the old locations, so probably it is changed and Ingress hasn't been updated yet.
  • Pokemon Go follows the rules of S2 cells. Each S2 level 17 cell can have one pokestop or Gym. PokemonGoHub has more articles written about this one. Most probably there is another pokestop in the neighbourhood that is blocking from your nomination to appear.
  • I would search if there is an external reference to his location, like a website or a newspaper, with more background information. If not, it looks like vandalism and / or temporary.
  • You're not reacting to @BaltiCalling-ING , but I think he's got a fair point From a reviewer's perspective: should I believe this nomination? If I only look at the information supplied, I get the impression that this one is fake (regardless of its true nature, purely based upon what is visible on the picture) The wood…
  • Another suggestion could be: don't upgrade. It means that this nomination would also be presented to people from the Netherlands (and perhaps UK) and reading the French part can at least cause some misinterpretation. Disadvantages towards this nomination is the tie-rap, and the trail markers looks like its directing…
  • Just because they aren't added doesn't mean they aren't submitted and reviewed. I saw one come by yesterday again (which is now still either in voting or rejected, based upon checking the wayfarer app). But apart from that, I noticed that the in-voting times are increasing again in comparison with a couple of weeks ago.…
  • Don't forget the items you may find less in the city as well, like trail markers, information signs or picnic area's. There could be more eligible if you look with a different mindset towards the environment.
  • To manage expectations: don't be surprised if you get a response somewhere in the end of this year, or next year. I've received an answer to my appeal in May 2023, based upon the initial appeal in Augusts 2022.
