A few members on here said that footbridges are no longer acceptable via Criteria 3.1 but there isn't anything regarding them on there. Do you know if they're still acceptable or not?

Maybe I overlooked what you're referring to in Criteria 3.1 but I don't recall seeing anything about memorial benches on it.

Yes, it is part of a marked trail but that is not the issue. Criteria 3.1 says that they're acceptable.

I recently had a footbridge in a public park rejected because it did not meet the criteria. So this thread does hit close to home.

Did you mean to say if they are NOT part of an official hiking trail?
