  • This one is missing a few that I would expect to show up on nearby.
  • I recorded my stats planning to review 50 and see how many had this bug. There were so many I ended the study early at 30 reviews. Out of 30 reviews there were 8 with this bug. 8! That is 26.6% of reviews!!!!
  • Very next review is also bugged. Would have accepted this one but it is actually a duplicate.
  • After checking every new review I found another one. My rate has been about 1 in 10.
  • After reading this I went back and checked on one I thought was weird from a few days ago. This is a serious problem and likley already resulted in duplicates being added to the system.
  • @NianticAtlas @NianticTintino @NianticGiffard @NianticAaron This is a subtle but wayfarer system breaking bug. See my photo post still in review.
  • Lots of things are subjective. There is a tag for "utility box" but that does not mean all utility boxes are eligible. Same with "waste bin", most are generic mass produced waste containers but a few are artistic or part of a sculpture and would be considered eligible. There are a few tags that make little sense except as…
  • Have you completed the wayfarer test? Before you can review or submit you must pass a test. If yes then try clearing the cache on your browser then log in again.
  • This has gotten off track but I think the point is to be respectful and really think through your resubmissions. For someone to get reported for spamming then a reviewer has to get annoyed enough and gather reasonable evidence to submit an abuse report. The Niantic employee will then look and the report and decide if you…
  • You missed the first part of the sentence. "Submitting ineligible Wayspots repeatedly" . Yours is eligible so you are not the problem. People who are submitting the Walmart downtown 10 times or keep trying to get their Pokémon collection approved are the problem. Many people will try the "if I just submit this enough times…
  • So @ is not an emoji but it is a special character that is used in links. Should we treat all characters like # @ and others as emojis and reason for rejection? This would simplify the annoying nominations that use @ in a sentence for "at" .
  • I don't really care about edits that were processed before this feature goes live but it would be VERY important to me to be able to track title, description, and location edits that are still in voting. Some of mine were submitted up to 3 years ago and still being processed so it would be great to know what was still in…
  • I think the point of the criteria refresh was for us to think more on how a nomination actually fits the goal of exploration games rather than how this item is a mass produced chain. I would hazard a guess that there are 10x more Playworld playgrounds https://playworld.com/ in the US than both Regal Cinema and Marcus…
  • Yep. The way it is worded in the wayfarer site is very confusing and assumes you have moved away from where you were born. It is also not helpful that as part of the new onboarding process it prompts you to set a location for it when you have no experience for the best choices.
  • All my photos submitted and approved since December are not showing up in either ingress or in pokemon go. These photos were all submitted using ingress remotely so I can not confirm if the bug is present for pogo submissions too
  • All of my photos submitted through ingress and approved since December have not gone live on either their portal or their pokestop. It is as if they never existed.
  • Once one nomination enters voting, then without upgrades, no other nomination may enter voting that is in the same lv 17 cell or any of the eight cells surrounding that one. This helps reduce the chance two duplicate nominations will be in voting at the same time. Your nominations from two years ago are likely in areas…
  • We were just discussing this on another thread. https://community.wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/discussion/comment/136253 I'm of the opinion that all movie theaters serve an important cultural and social role and are acceptable.
  • Most gravestones are not eligible. It has to be one for an important/famous person who has died more than 50 years ago or is a national public monument. Even then if the grave is near a younger grave I would consider the location too sensitive. The idea is there should be little to no chance of players offending mourners…
  • I think movie theaters are like bowling alleys or playgrounds. They can be mass produced generic chains but they still meet criteria. They are place we go to experience the art of film. Movies have the power to change opinions, change the way we see the world and bring joy to all who experience them. They are also a social…
  • You gain an agreement (accept/reject/duplicate) when the nomination you voted on gets decided and the majority of people voted the same as you. Lots of people need to vote on one thing before a decision is reached to this can take a while if you were the first voter, or it can happen instantly if you were the last voter…
  • I don't understand the idea of using waypoints in a game for telling emergency personnel where you are if an incident occurs. If you are playing pogo then you have internet service. Why not just pull up google maps and give the EMT's your exact GPS coordinates?
  • Small towns are already prioritized. You just submitted those so do some reviewing then wait and see. Your nominations will get processed much faster than if you were in Paris.
  • Everyone does not need to be able to access every waypoint all the time. It just needs to be a place where more than one family has access. That said many government buildings are important culturally like courthouses and city halls but I don't see how a bank meets criteria. By urbanization residential I think you mean…
  • You do not need a special phone to make a photosphere. Any phone with a gyroscope will do and most of the ones made in the last 3-5 years have that. What you do need is to download the "streetview" app and practice spinning in a circles taking photos. It can be hard to get good ones but you only need a half decent one for…
  • If I try to get into Disney World without a ticket then I will be chased out by security guards. This does not mean Disney World is not allowed to have pokestops. The idea is that everyone should have access to at least one waypoint not that everyone has access to all waypoints. Anyone living in that community or who makes…
  • @NianticGiffard CaptMcJay24 made a mistake and would like some help to get a one time reset of his hometown review location since he did not understand how it works and set it to his current play area. Would this be possible please?
  • The bug is the fact that *any* nominations are going live in ingress inside the 20m boundary and they are sure to fix it soon. Then everyone else can have your current situation.
  • The problem is there is no streetview of this area and satellite shows no building that looks anything like this. You should start by downloading the app "streetview" and creating your own photosphere to upload to google maps. Your supporting photo does not help. It should include part of the focus of the main photo but…
