@NianticLC maybe too. idk who to tag any more.

@NianticSC @NianticAaron some of these are still existing so i think this got missed yet again

"only a few people care so that makes it right even though it's wrong"

read section 5.2 of the Niantic ToS. once you submit you give up any rights to demand anything of niantic related to the content you submitted. I'm not a lawyer and am not providing legal advice.

when they first started processing appeals and for a few short periods of time since then, it was not FIFO. but for the rest of the time they've been consistently processing the oldest first. so yes as a general rule tntnnblt is correct though there have been exceptions. personally the appeal i submitted in February was…

another thing, you know you can appeal removals too right? a few months back a Wayspot near me disappeared one day. from a cursory glance i can see why someone would think it doesn't have pedestrian access but it does, it's just not convenient to walk to it from anywhere. so i went and snapped a couple of photos and posted…

Niantic (who can actually hold anyone accountable) can see who reported internally, the screenshot requirement is already fairly meaningless. why do you need to know?
-
again, no. the process should allow full anonymity so that folks are allowed to avoid backlash. if the removal is valid, which Niantic should be verifying then there's no issue. it's not a valid wayspot and no one has any right to know who reported it. forcing de-anonymized appeals when many reports require an appeal is…

Niantic doesn't actually care if the appeal is made by the same person who submitted the removal. And that's a good thing in my opinion, it allows people who know that publicly posting appeals will result in negative backlash from other players to get help from others in appealing valid removals.
-
so you can hara ss them when they do things you don't like? imo it should move in the other direction with a reliable way to appeal outside of the public eye.
-
Excuse me, I'm a high life Miller.
-
you should report is as a k-12 location in game. if your report is rejected you can appeal in the Invalid Wayspots Appeal section of this forum with the photos you take as evidence.

ineligible, same as any post or mail box. only postal facilities can be eligible.
-
So far I've had 2 portals and 18 photos sync and I know I have at the very least 6 more photos yet to go. I really hope they get through all the previously missed stuff.

Way back in 2018 I took photos for 3 candidates but never submitted them, at the time I planned to nominate them in the old Ingress app which did not allow supporting photos. A few weeks ago I was looking through old photos and found them so I went back and took supporting photos for each but because the weather was not…

According to Niantic none are eligible but UK reviewers have their own way of doing things. I doubt this will change much.

This is likely due to whatever type of sql they're using or some other tech on the stack that uses @ as a special character. Searches with other characters on Mission Creator also do funky things and I would not use this as justification to reject nominations with @ or any other character that's easily available on the…

Personally I use an addon that lets me review with my keyboard, if they're all no then Shift + Tab selects no for all, clicks other, and puts the cursor in the text box. I can then type a few letters and use the number pad to make a selection. Frustrating that this stuff hasn't been added to the page by default yet.

I've had success recently via 2 different methods. In one case, a friend of mine found a town in which nearly half the wayspots were faked. I made a series of forum posts and follow up comments such as this one to report them all:…
-
These are easy, just use Ingress dynamic links to report them as invalid.
-
Yes they can, that was fixed relatively quickly.
-
I added a fairly hacky fix that works most of the time to one of the wayfarer add on scripts. It's better than nothing until this gets resolved.

There's a bug report thread here you should upvote https://community.wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/discussion/35567/site-jumps-to-location-accuracy-immediately#latest

Got my PC fixed after a couple days of downtime so I'm ready to rock and roll to 125k reviews!
