Do you have a link to where they said anything like this? "but finally agreed with the caveat that they'll send random reasons sometimes."

Heh I specifically avoided reviewing much in October to prep for this competition. Depending on how the timing works next year maybe the two can coincide. I would love to see "official" support for player-run events in the future and it's something I've brought up directly as well.

Yes I've noticed similar in my personal numbers while reviewing heavily for the November Ingress world wide challenge, in fact my percentage is almost exactly that sitting at 48% right now. For my personal numbers, I plan to take December off from reviewing so I'll be tracking agreements throughout that month to see how…

My favorite is 28, i have a particular L28 cell where my big toe sits while i'm at my desk reviewing.

the only way I see this having even a chance of working is if new wayspots had a 6 month probationary period during which this kind of removal could apply. just far too many problems trying to apply it to the entire 10 year history of wayspots. but believe me, I have a list of local stuff I'd get removed in an instant…

To add on to this, a deep link from the approval email to the Wayfarer app (once it has launched) would be amazing! Back in the before times, approval emails from Ingress had a link to the Intel map so we could immediately see hassle-free the live portal. Now that approvals are immediately added to the Lightship DB and the…

Other notes on this, once it kicks in you will notice that the Refresh/Cancel button in the browser will be very rapidly cycling between the two states. After a lengthy review session on PC this morning the issue has not presented itself as seriously as it was a week ago but it still happens almost immediately on mobile.

"But do they facilitate exploration and gameplay? They absolutely do." Gameplay? yeah of course, anything can. But exploration? Come on, you can't argue in good faith. No one gives a single cra p about the boring sign with the corporate approved generic name that's only slightly different than the one a quarter mile up the…

This kind of categorical thinking is passe. Being the only such location in this small town it certainly could meet certain criteria and it is up to the nominator to indicate that, and up to reviewers to accurately asses whether their claims are sufficient.
-
The Panoramio photos all went away ~4-6 years ago and were tagged as such when they still existed.
-
it's a little high, but not that much. back in the OPR times my ratio was around 40/60 in terms of agreements for accept and reject. now I'm up to 45k accepted and 30k rejected. To move in this direction so strongly means my overall accept rate must be a good deal higher than that ratio. when I stop reviewing and let my…

Most people aren't overly picky, and given the criteria refresh that's a more accurate way to be.
-
ok first of all, are you aware that there are wayspots that exist in niantic's system that are not pokestops? because nothing you've written suggests that you do and that is a very common reason to have your nominations come back as duplicates. that item already exists in the system but isn't a PokeStop. similarly, one…

oh and I've added over 1000 wayspots for what it's worth so you can keep that particular snark to yourself.
-
If it didn't matter, it wouldn't be a removal reason. Of the fire stations in this post, only one is more than a few miles from me so your initial claim that I'm just flying around the world looking for trouble is already bunk. And I'm less likely to report those than I am school POI or fountain POI. It seems to me you…

I've been told the link isn't working for some. not sure why, sorry.
-
if I come across something while reviewing i report it, otherwise I don't go looking. why does it bother you?
-
here's an unofficial one for now. not sure if there will be an official.
-
Thanks for the in depth write up. I'm not sure I agree 100% with the conclusions you've drawn about what is observable in this system but it's thought provoking.
-
if the Wayspot is in someone's yard, then it's invalid. if it's within the boundaries of a private area but can be freely and safely accessed by anyone who's allowed in that area then it's valid.
-
it was not
-
These areas, for whatever reasons, don't have enough reviewers. Not all areas are this slow. Some receive responses in a week or a month or a few months.
-
@NianticSC can you take a look at this one please? I think it slipped again. This one is pretty obvious, it's pinned inside a maintenance hanger and is a dupe of this wayspot with correct location:
-
I'll push for that in year two
-
looks pretty trash to me
-
here's the rejection email for that last one i didn't have previously Thanks @NianticOtoStar and @NianticLC !
-
@NianticLC maybe too. idk who to tag any more.
-
@NianticSC @NianticAaron some of these are still existing so i think this got missed yet again
