Couldnt find the previous post with people making fake or completely coal nominations. Last time I saw if we posted them niantic would take some kind of action on those. Seems its still an issue
Feel free to post other bad submissions trying to get home portals here too so niantic can do something about it. @NianticGiffard @NianticCasey-ING

Hi there, @Jtronmoore-PGO!
We'll have your report investigated, thanks for bringing this up!
These are why you have an 'abuse' option in the reasons to 1* it...
More often than not people reviewing don’t see anything getting done with that. At least this way you see visual progress. Also I wouldn’t exactly say this is abuse necessarily. More like someone doesn’t know how to submit nominations.
Hello @Jtronmoore-PGO! We have reviewed the report and have taken action on the Wayspot and 1 Wayfinder in accordance with our policies. While we are unable to discuss our actions in detail to protect the submitter’s privacy, they may include, but are not limited to, sending a warning message, placing restrictions on their Wayfarer, Pokémon GO or Ingress account, putting their account on probation, or placing a temporary or permanent suspension on their Wayfarer, Pokémon GO or Ingress account.
Thanks for helping us maintain the quality of the Wayspots.
Thank you for the quick action :)
I just had this one:
It's a boat on a river, and this is supporting text: "There is a beautiful view and I would also like to have a pokestop at the house, so I will be happy if you help me" - it's what I got from translating it. I also got a hydrant today with similiar text, just forgot to make screenshot of it. So many coals recenty :/
All of it are old, I usually print these bizarre submissions.
I just got nomination with photos made of computer screen (you can even see where photo on screen end in support photo), and it location is set in someone garden (in this place there isn't any streetview to check location, but it's clearly fake home-POI nomination).
This is main photo of this nomination:
@NianticGiffard please look at it too.
At least this person was honest! I totally thought they'd be trying to play that off as a large mural on a wall, shocked they admitted it's a box. Unlike the daily submissions I get of carefully cropped photos of someone's lawn statue or patch of plants in their yard, claiming it's a public statue or garden.🙄
We have reviewed the report and have taken action on the Wayspot and 4 Wayfinders in accordance with our policies. Yes, we do.
If I were you, I'd refrain to make demeaning generalizations of players of other games.
And yet, every day we reject hundreds of fake submissions, all tagged with supporting info like, "we need more stops!"
I'll give you a hint...It's not ingressers who are submitting entire parks full of literally dozens of fake waypoints.
It makes me wonder, that if these are being actioned, maybe there should be a new section to report home/fake submissions. Also noticing that almost all of these nominations don't hide an address, I'm guessing these nominators should think of the implications of putting their address out there for the world/reviewers to see.
You have proven to have either a severe misunderstanding of what constitutes a hint or to lack the subtlety needed to properly deploy one. I'd suggest you to limit yourself to straightforward insulting generalisations about PoGo players, which seems more suited to your writing style.
Don't be obtuse. The overwhelming majority of garbage submissions are coming from pogo players. Wayfarer is full of thousands of horrendous quality submissions, all mentioning the need for stops or gyms.
Discords all around the country are full of Pogoers manipulating votes, moving portals to try to get more gyms, and in many cases submitting things that simply do not exist in the city or state that they're submitting them.
This isn't an Ingress player issue. Trying to pretend like Pogoers aren't the root cause of these problems is burying your head in the sand. No one is saying all Pogoers are making crappy submissions, but ONLY Pogoers are submitting blatantly false items, manipulating the supporting information with gym/stop language, and brigading Wayfarer to get these items into the network.
I've been reviewing since OPR, and players submitting fake stuff for couch portals as well as gaming the system to approve portals in their turf and reject in enemy turf had been going on back then too. It's not just PoGO players. It's just that PoGO players do have a much larger influence due to how many more of them there are.
This grafitti is ok, it's on a floodway but would be safe to access 99% of the time. The floodway is clearly visible on Google earth yet the pin is up by #19 Burgundy Rd. That assumes that the grafitti is from THAT specific floodway, but it's 100% not where the pin was placed.
I had one today with the supporting info reading only "Shapers". No one group is perfect. :)
We have reviewed the follow-up reports and have taken action on 3 Wayfinders in accordance with our policies. Thanks for helping us maintain the quality of the Wayspots.
