Yea, that's really badly worded. Especially considering how it used to be worded. I thought I had run out of nominations but it still allowed me to nominate. OK, so they've given us the maximum amount to begin with and we then get them back at a rate of 1 per day. Fair enough.
As a player trying to populate a remote park where nobody goes because there are no stops, being able to upload photos from my phone (and being able to check cells) AND being able to send many in a single day is a delight. I made 15 nominations today, so in a year or two that park would be great to play at :')
I think there's something wrong with them. That person keeps popping into the forums every couple of days and commenting random Pokémon Go game issues in random threads...
Wanted to give you all the update that the In-Game Contribution Limits for Ingress have been shipped! There is a slight difference than the Pokémon GO limits so please see below:
New Nominations - 1 Daily accrual / 40 Daily Max
Title Edits - 2 Daily Accrual / 40 Daily Max
Description Edits - 2 Daily Accrual / 40 Daily Max
Location Edits - 1 Daily Accrual / 40 Daily Max
Photo Submissions - 2 Daily Accrual / 40 Daily Max
This post is quite old, but I was just wondering if we might revisit the accrual of Photo Submissions. I burn through my photo submissions because I'm travelling quite a lot between different rural towns (usually over 100 kilometres away - the current distance limit to submit photos) and only accruing 2 a day severely hampers my efforts to add my photos. In fact, I'm so far behind that I'm still submitting photos submitted back in March and then just submitting photos to wayspots in batches every 20 days.
I would really appreciate this value to be revisited as a bit to help leave one's mark as souvenirs across rural towns. Or if photo contributions are re-enabled back on the Wayfarer app, to help link such to an account and show attribution properly on wayspots.
Does anyone actually submit photos still these days?
Seems a bit pointless when they take forever to go through and often the updated picture only appears in one game due to an 18+ month old bug with ingress and photos.
Your situation may be vastly different to mine where photos submitted in Wayfarer in my state (unless they're in specific suburbs as shown here) go through in less than a week or two. The "updated picture" bug doesn't seem to be an issue for me at this moment, the majority of photos are appearing in Ingress (if not immediately, a day later) with no troubles at all. And I know a lot of people who enjoy taking new photos that are well-composed, for things sometimes hilarious and generally pretty and replacing sad night/extreme angled photos.
I will take and submit a new photo. The quality of photos now is much better and so if it’s an interesting place and lightening is good I’ll take a photo.
But it is very messy as incorrect photos linger. There is one close by that has a photo of another wayspot attached to it. It should have been removed but it keeps resurfacing.
I have in high regards that you submit all those photos.
Just for a reality check: there are Wayspots here in town that have 2 photos: one submitted 9 years ago, and another one, also 9 years ago (maybe the one that was used in creation)
None of these has a "like". Maybe I am the only person in the world that actually tapped all the way to see the photos.
Yes I know, sometimes the main photo is bad. Still, I do think that redoing all photos is a good work, but wasted time. Also Niantic doesn't give a flying Dutchman about this topic.

I thought i might get lots of review after the increase of nomination... Guess all of them are still in queue 😅
~24hr minimum queue time, so at the time you posted the message, yes, they were all still in queue.
That is something I wish I could do.
Sort of doing right now, but there has already been someone before me that got stuff approved.
Not Wayfarer related.

Yeah seems like it. Maybe someone has told them this is the Pokémon GO forum and they’re not sure where/how to post.
40 submissions....I work that out as 8 possible new POI because everything needs submitting 5 times before it finally gets accepted ;)

They don't really want us submitting photos, they want scans.

A lot of Go players don't realise you can click through to see the various photo options.
Until I send them a gift asking them to upvote to get rid of the original crappy picture. I am supposed to do that right.... :)
