This bench is ideally placed to facilitate a pauze on your daily strolls in the neighborhood.
Extra information:
This bench is ideally placed to facilitate a pauze on your daily strolls in the neighborhood. The shortest way between the two nearest villages passes this bench, so lots of people take their rest here. Thanks for your review!
The grounds on which the rejection is based:
Afwijzingscriteria
Tijdelijk of seizoensgebonden display (temporary display)
Verkeerde locatie (wrong location)
Both rejections are wrong, since this bench is placed there permanently, as i have stated, to facilitate people that walk between Bilthoven and Den Dolder, and take the nice route through the green neighborhood. And yes, since this is a neighborhood, we can all use the same street, we walk, bike, skate, run here, and sometimes there will be the occasional car that passes. Nothing to worry about, this is the Netherlands.
Also, the location is right, since it is on the corner of two streets.
I really cannot see, why this shouldn't be a waystop, can someone explain?
Comments
Those rejections reasons are wrong, but a bench by itself doesn't meet the eligibility criteria.
And what criteria aren't met? It is a gathering point, it is a starting point for a stroll or a sport activity and while sitting on the bench one can admire the beautiful surroundings, the trees, hear the birds, watch chipmunks in the trees. Not every wayspot has to be something man has build with glass, stone or plastic, it can be as simple as a bench and be wonderful.
@NianticGiffard Is it oke to tag you on this matter for clarification?
The usual bench... like millions of others... one star and next for me.
Mass-produced product, no visual, historical or cultural value.
Problem is, we live in a beautiful environment, but when i take a picture of that, people get whining it's natural landscape and reject it. That way, it will never be good enough to get a waystop around here.
I understand why people don't want to delete spots, as it is very difficult to get new ones this way. We don't live in a big city, with art or remembrance signs or whatever you like to see as wayspots, we live in a very healthy and green town, and i can recommend everyone to walk around here, instead of polluted, warm and dirty cities.
A bench - not even a "memorial bench". Not eligible - 1* "Does mot meet criteria" rejection.
Unfortunately, but the fact that there is nothing interesting in the area does not give the right to add things that do not follow the guidelines (landscape, bench, trash can, etc...). Or maybe you can't find a local gem?
Perhaps the guidelines should be better explained then @Robert4444-ING ? Why can we choose landscape, trash can or bench, if they won't meet "your" criteria?
In "my" opinion, this is quite a nice bench, since we do not have a lot of benches around, and i can show you also what state the others are in. And trees and forests here are beautiful, they aren't all like the Everglades or Sherwood, but since the Niantic goal is to get us outside, enjoy nature, one should accept that a forest or tree in general is nature, and meets ALL THREE of the criteria, that are: - interesting to see, nice spot to get together and good place to do sports.
I agree that some areas it is definitely hard to find something to nominate that will appease many of the harsher reviewers. Yet even I cannot condone a trash bin as eligible. However, the idea of a forest as a place to explore is intriguing. The problem is, what do you nominate? A tree, as you've suggested? The problem with that is, we can't nominate every tree in a forest and expect it to be accepted, so you're pretty much never going to convince reviewers that a tree is eligible.
Thanks for the appeal, @Ladyfoil-PGO! We're not currently reviewing PokéStop submissions. Please resubmit the nomination by improving its title/description if you feel that it was a valid nomination.
