I refuse to do any reviews at all until the privileges of submitting and reviewing are taken away from PokemonGo players. They have proven, time and time again, that they DO NOT deserve this privilege. Many of them have multiple accounts, making it easy for them to approve submissions that would normally be rejected. They constantly put in edits to move an existing portal so that they can force a Pokestop or Gym to appear in a cell. It was a cheating PokemonGo player that managed to get the legacy portals removed even after Niantic promised they would never be removed.
I can totally understand you being pissed off at Pokémon GO players in general, especially considering the player @69Konik2137-PGO seemed to have spoofed there to report it.
There is the issue of multiple accounts & voting cabals too but I’m not sure that @NianticTintino-ING and co have the resources and say-so, as the Pokémon Company International would have a say as well.
I get the frustrations entirely and it’s probably worth putting in a separate topic in the General Discussion section.
However, with the reduction in numbers of Ingress reviewers when Ingress Prime came out, Niantic needed the numbers from somewhere, so I don’t see them ever retracting it but they could certainly do a better on boarding process and better ways of stopping the activity you mention such as moving a Wayspot to another cell (as Niantic have said it counts as location edit abuse if only to benefit one game and not a “true move”.)
Good points as I say. Though worth noting not all Pokémon GO players behave this way.
Great question. So you can change it every 72 hours from when you first reset it during the challenge. Once the challenge is over, we will have one final reset so that everyone can put their bonus location back where they need it and you won't be stuck in Indonesia. Hope this helps!
Ingress players would also often move Portals to take down giant fields or not approve things because they knew a Resistance Agent had subbed it, or it was in an Enlightened controlled area. Again, like I said about Pokémon GO players, it’s not all Ingress players
As you say, there’s always been issues with OPR/Wayfarer and its users, but I can understand that some Ingress users being frustrated with things.
I think the situation with @69Konik2137-PGO and with the Wayfarer team not thinking things through hasn’t helped the Pokémon GO V Ingress thinking at all.
I'm not sure why a Go player would even ask for that, most Go players don't even think about Ingress or think about it having connections to the game they play.
Ja wszystko widze co wy piszecie. Nie wyzywajcie mnie od oszustów ponieważ jestem uczciwym graczem i nigdy nie uzywalem fly gps. To jest bezczelne oczernianie mnie.
Agree with moving up the priority of Bonus during the challenges, I have an active home/play area (currently the same) and only got 3 Indonesian reviews in 40 last night which were 2 rejects and a duplicate. Would like to see more of them!
I am currently in Bali, right now, Dusa Nua, then Ubud, then Sanur... plus exploring some other areas. Does this aid me in any way as a new Wayfarer? Some of these submissions I could physically travel to and check out for 100 percent certainty! I think I linked my Pogo account but how can I be sure? I LOVE photography and travel so Wayfarer is perfect for me! Also, is there a way to get wayfarer to translate a submission? I don't speak Indonesian so have a second page open for Google Translate lol.
If you've reached Trainer level 38, you're more than welcome to participate into this challenge. Sadly thr challenge is more focused at reviewing but you're free to nominate even more Wayspots.
Am I being daft or have I done something wrong? Cause I changed my bonus location to a place in Indonesia and it's saying I can't change it again for a year rather than 72 hours as I was lead to believe..?
You mean IKN (Ibukota Nusantara)? Well, that location is still developed yet but if you're curious then maybe you can pick either Balikpapan or Samarinda as bonus location and hope there are any nominations from IKN.
While I concur with the majority consent that this kind of challenge will make quick approval instead of carefully review, rest assured that most of Indonesian reviewers are capable to identify duplicate location and illegible nominations. Cheers
Are @NianticAaron or other staffs active during this weekend? Those who've changed their bonus location since the start of this challenge should be able to switch bonus location tomorrow..., just in case something wrong happened at it.
It still feels like the bonus location is broken for this challenge. I've done a load of reviews today and only had two from Indonesia. When I participated in the challenges for Russia and India I was definitely getting a lot more nominations to review.

I got a few playgrounds.

OMG....WHY.... Get over yourself
Do you think crappy wayspots didn't exist before 2019?
All those far way picture of poi taken from cars were not done by Go players.
I've seen Ingress players act like bratty five year olds and attempt to get poi removed or moved because boo ****... my mobile phone game...
I thought I’d give this a try this time and so far have had one and it looked looked liked PRP so was a reject.
Not convinced I will manage to have enough time ….but will try

That being said, do you have your Ambo email yet?

Probably not :D

Who knows what’s in spoofers heads apart from “Well, I don’t have a warning so let’s keep doing it!”
It seemed like there was Ingress background to it but maybe I misread.
Should probably not make @NianticLC tell us how lively this discussion is getting :D
Yeah, I'm noticing a really low amount as well. It wasn't like this when I participated in previous challenges.

Could Niantic please display a COUNT of approved Wayspots in Indonesia, to track our progress toward the Level One and Level Two goals?
Ah yes I forgot your rule that you’re allowed to slander others but we can’t say a bad word about your conduct. Silly me.
I’d like that, like the ticker they have in Pokémon GO during events
Ja nikogo nie szkaluje.
Page 1 of this Discussion was nicer. 😧 What is up with all the drama in this forum?
Anyway, interesting challenge, gonna give it a try.

Thanks for answering whoever does !
Great work. Still not happy with the rewards system for PoGo players.
Have some questions:
1. What happens after you can not change bonus location in the last 72 hours?
2. Did you consider the new capital of Indonesia in your cities list?
If you can't change your bonus location after 72 hours, try pinging @NianticAaron
You mean IKN (Ibukota Nusantara)? Well, that location is still developed yet but if you're curious then maybe you can pick either Balikpapan or Samarinda as bonus location and hope there are any nominations from IKN.
Balikpapan, it is been a wild that I did not ear that city. 😀

It was possible for me to change it just now.
