Looks like you should now be able to reset your Bonus Location and happy to see reports of it having taken effect. You will have until the end of the weekend to reset it before it locks back. More updates to come on the Bonus Location changes we mentioned in the last AMA.
This is a good move. Prioritizing reviewing in general to get agreements vs just approvals will help ensure good reviewing practices. Also its illuminating that it was basically 50-50 for approvals vs rejections. Which explains why the few reviews I was even able to do for me at least most were immediately obvious rejections (fakes, ineligible locations, etc).
I seem to be +1 poffin. I don't think I got it from anywhere else. Maybe a star piece and egg, not too sure though as I don't really track my inventory. I know I didn't have any poffins left.
Upgrades still where they were before the challenge ended.
Thank you for considering number of rejections! People are already frustrated with so many poor quality nominations so adding number of rejections are helpful.
And while we're still at it could you please add Bahasa Indonesia support language to Wayfarer?
Thanks for making the change to both acceptances and rejections. It was a bit frustrating getting so much coal. Interesting to see that it was about half and half.
I didn't think they would change the Tier criteria.
NICE JOKE !!
What is interesting here is the fact that during the Russian Challenge, we easily broke through Tier, but this time we had to move the goal to the halfway line to reach it.
In other words, the fact that Wayfinder left Wayfarer.
I had no idea that less than only 5000 accounts global had reviewed it.
Due to the nature of Wayfarer reviews, the number of reviewers can't decrease because of the Challenge event.
People who don't usually review may review because they want a reward, but it is unlikely that people who usually review will not review only during an event.
In other words, Wayfarer reviews are running huge servers for less than only 5000 accounts.
We also take seriously the fact that the number of reviewers is decreasing even though you and the Wayfarer team have made it possible to take an unlimited number of tests that could only be taken twice to increase the number of reviewers and lowered the access level from TL38 to TL37 and from A12 to A10 You need to take seriously the fact that the number of reviewers is decreasing.
You have moderated the good silent Wayfinders who have contributed to Niantic over the past year and a half from the Russian Challenge to the present to leave.
And this phenomenon seems to have accelerated since the departure of the previous administrator last October.
This means that there is a high probability that Wayfarer Review will be stuck soon.
Please consider this weighty fact when moderating.
May not be happening or working at the moment, but at the very least, it could happen if Niantic wanted to. It's an additional set of platforms for them to get people to become aware of reviewing. I would also suggest Telegram, but I don't know if that would be frowned upon.
Which is bad, because part of rewards are delivered into either games.
During earlier review challenges there were specific incense-only spawns in Pokemon GO with (boosted?) shiny chances as one of the rewards. Most people were missing this out..., but I think only some people were able to participate the challenges.
@tp235-ING not agreeing/disagreeing with your main point(s) but your total reviewer estimate is likely to be low, perhaps very low. There could be a lot of people who aren't taking part in the challenge. I only joined half way through, and won't do another one. I'd done one before this, skipped Russia and at least one other before that.
There aren't a lot of ways for people to find out about them. And even if they know a lot of people can't be bothered for the rewards.
If Niantic can entice 0.1% of the player base (on both Ingress and Pogo) in addition to the existing reviewers, then it will be deemed a success in my books.
Realistically, I'm sitting at level 50 in Pogo, the rewards aren't nearly good enough for me to join for a reward.
Sure, if one of my reviews was accepted I'll get a couple extra balls, some star pieces, a poffin, nearly worthless incense, or whatever. None of them matter to me at all.
Three upgrades don't matter to me either. I've nominated most anything reasonable long ago. I'm only nominating in towns I visit these days and we'll most of them go in voting and are completed in 3 or 4 weeks anyway. Upgrades frequently take longer to go into voting in my experience.
I'm reviewing these challenges for the same reason I'll carry level 25 players in raids. To help out others.
Rewards need to be something people who are leveled up high enough might care about.
An outfit? Heck if we have people paying $5 for an outfit maybe they will review for one.
10 or 20 incubators.
Remote raid passes.
You know, the stuff that actually might motivate reviewers at large. (Heck, simply posting on the news page, even with a link to this page, I mean if Pogo links to the blog Wayfarer can link to community)
I'm sure Ingress has the same sort of Rewards. I just don't play so I can't speak to them
If the rewards are at a high enough level, remote passes and cosmetics, things people will pay for the bar to reach those would have to be pretty high to stop people gaming the system.
Outfit and/or pose were vaguely mentioned many moons ago, I really can't see it happening now.
I think we are stuck with upgrades which are relevant to Wayfarer as a reward and a few low level items thrown in.
You mean you guys don’t have to blend your Poffins at the Poffin House with friends on Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection? These spoiled youngsters today. *shakes cane *
I do it mostly to help Indonesia. Good motivation would be to Feature Indonesian wayspots globally, and change them frequently, so maybe I'll see one I reviewed and helped.
I also do it for updgrades. The ingress awards are nice too.
Awards need to be nice enough to make up for the frustrations Niantic always bakes into challenges. We're complaining about the same things, with the same suggestions, for years. It is the "Niantic way" to leave out simple things to make it more frustrating. But you get really neat prizes, so roll your eyes and press on.

Great question. I'll make sure to bring this up to the team and see where we have the opportunity to enter new communities.

What's the global accept/reject rate? All we all 50/50, or was Indonesia worse than average?
Most of the reviewers don't go on this forum and don't know a challenge held place
How about advertising the next challenge in the respective games (Ingress and Pokemon Go)?
Well any cross-game advertisement is not really happening anyways, which is a shame I think.
May not be happening or working at the moment, but at the very least, it could happen if Niantic wanted to. It's an additional set of platforms for them to get people to become aware of reviewing. I would also suggest Telegram, but I don't know if that would be frowned upon.

And cross-game advertisements are anyways cheap..
It actually lined up pretty well with my overall stats.
Total Nominations Reviewed - 19070
Nominations Accepted - 5421
Nominations Rejected - 5485
Nominations Duplicated - 920

It would be possible with the Wayfarer application and the profile screen that can be seen in the Wayfarer forum.
Yet, the Wayfarer team does not have the authority to create trainer poses or event participation medals in Pokémon GO.
This is the same in Ingress.
There are no new Seer medals or event participation medals.
If you want such a thing in Pokémon GO, it is Michael, not Tintino, who should be persuaded.
I've not had anything. Maybe you got the Poffin from an in person raid?
That's pretty much what I said.
It's not happening :)
I haven't done any since Saturday of Hoenn tour and I definitely didn't have any.
Probably 7 day research or some other reward if it's only me who has it.
The rewards are going to be distributed by redeem code, not just appear in the game inventory. So you must've got the poffin by some other means.
Thanks.

Is there an exact time when it will lock?
