Re: nomination improvement
It doesn't have to be accessible by the public, it has to be accessible by pedestrians. People who live there can access it on foot safely, therefore it is perfectly eligible. I would try submitting again with the picture taken from ground level if possible (unsure if you can actually visit to take the picture?) . I'm… -
Re: Should a water tower and a government office be accepted?
The courthouse is important for public law and order, the city hall is vital to the basic running of town, voting, and function. On the other hand something like the DMV is just a basic office for bureaucracy. Water towers are iconic architecture but they do need to be accessible to pedestrians. So no to a water tower in a… -
Re: Private residential property without public access
Did you by any chance read the AMA aswers posted after the change in criteria? They specifically addressed these questions. To quote: Q: Can you clarify the definition of “private residential property?” Are multi-family residences included in this rejection reason? What about Wayspots that are within 40m of a private… -

Moreover, the government should be the one who have to contact Niantic directly if the dispute is really the issue. However something's strange with the Wayspots..., did the… -
Recreational Areas on Military Base
I need clarification and a search of the forums does not provide useful results. Do recreational areas on military base property count as eligible or ineligible? The wording of the ineligible location reads "Location ... may interfere with the operations of ... military bases." To me, this can be interpreted as only… -
Re: Yamagata University Hospital (Yamagata-City)
Hi @MagicalThorn-ING , this nomination doesn't seem to be abusive by nature. It should fill the acceptance criteria of a good place to explore or socialize. Being part of the hospital recreation area you have to remember: not all poi have to be accessible to everybody. As long as the people allowed to this place can safely… -
How to deal with semi-public spaces in dense residential?
This is an interesting question. How to deal with picknick sites, barbecue sites and playgrounds that are publically accessible and yet on residential zoning and considered to be first and foremost intended to be used by adjacent residents as opposed to any and everybody, but without the actual legitimate possibility of…
