Re: November AMA - Topics Thread
When are "ghost pokestops/gyms" (I mean those waypoints that have been removed from PoGo client by the L17 recalc triggered by a location edit, but still accessible through Plus/gotcha) going to be fixed server-side? I mean, I have a ghost gym in a L14 cell with 3 waypoints inside but no gym accessible in PoGo because the… -
Re: Some feedback on this nomination would be welcomed
It's a beach, why not just walk up to the structure and take a better photo? After all, you did say it was accessible year-round. Currently it looks like the photo was cropped from the supporting photo, or was taken from the carpark. Also more information in the description about why this surf school is notable would be… -
Re: Invalid Wayspot Appeal - No Pedestrian Access and Private Residential Property
“Watts Almshouses has 18 flats”. “The almshouses have 24 hour cover provided by wardens located at the main site who cannot offer medical or personal care but are supportive figures for residents.” That to me sounds like it would exclude it from the private residential property removal category. The building as a whole is… -
Re: Castle of Louvois: Deleted portals despite Niantic rejection
Fact: How does “publicly accessible” apply to locations that have limited access, like members-only clubs, gated communities, time-restricted areas? Just like with the definition of private residential property, this guideline hasn’t changed. These locations would still be eligible, including restricted areas on the… -
Re: Illegal Gym Removal Request
Thanks! And for point 4, nope, it is NOT a garden of any sort. There is no public use/open place inside the yellow boxes. The only public accessible open space that player can freely move is inside the orange box (but it is ON K-12 school as you have said). I think point 4 can still be a solid reason for the gym to be… -
London cycle network

Since the new criteria changed few months ago , I thought most of trail sign/marker started to be more elegible , even if not named trail. Expecially if they encourage exercise and exploring the city. I tried to nominate a sign of the London cycle network in a park, clearly accessible walking and/or cycling. The sign lead… -
Re: There needs to be a double standard - and that's okay.
I can't speak for any rejected nominations you may be speaking about. I assume you have made strong attempts at proving pedestrian access in your nominations, and yes bad faith reviewing happens. But there are some simple steps submitters can take to help prove access, as well. I've had to make judgment calls on roadside… -
Invalid wayspot appeal: Garden Train

Title of the Wayspot: Garden Train Location: [Lat/Long] 41.283237, -72.832073, City: [City]: Branford, CT Country: United States Screenshot of the Rejection Email: Photos to support your claim: Private driveway starts up at circle in the top right of this photo ^^^ Additional information: Both this portal and "The… -
Re: Boral Landing Removal Appeal x 3
If fishing club members have permission to access the site, then these Portals are acceptable to Niantic. They don't have to be accessible to everybody 24 / 7, just someone with permission. I know several Portals like this, either "grandfathered" ones on military bases that can only be accessed by Service personel, or ones…
