Rejected for being in a private residential area. But it's next to the village shop on the main road

My submission was rejected because it appears to be in a private residential area or farm. The nomination was of a statue of an owl, carved out of a tree. Construction started on it in 2003, and it was restored in 2012. Here's a link that talks about it. This is located next to the village shop, on a main road which runs… -
Re: Memorial Benches?
Actually, in most cases, people have enough sense to know what a trail looks like without having to have it spelled out for them on a sign lol 😂 Are you being intentionally obtuse or really just that arrogant? This is a global community, after all, and not all localities do things the same way as you may be familiar with… -
Re: Help to improve rejected nomination
Thanks! As I see it it tick all boxes: Nominations and edit submissions must meet all of the following acceptance criteria: Must meet at least one of the three eligibility criteria A great place for exploration A great place to be social with others Must be a permanent physical, tangible, and identifiable place or object,… -
Re: Cemetery and "main cemetry cross"
I share the same point of view about elements in cemeteries. "Avoid nominations whose real-world locations appear to be cemeteries, burial grounds, or gravestones. Gravestones may be accepted, but only if the gravestone is publicly accessible and it belongs to a historical figure or significant community figure."… -
Re: Permanent removal of invalid wayspot Sarada Fountain
Direct quote from the November AMA, which was released after the criteria were revamped (highlights by me): How does “publicly accessible” apply to locations that have limited access, like members-only clubs, gated communities, time-restricted areas? Just like with the definition of private residential property, this… -
Re: Troll raters or simply ignorant raters on rating
Trail signs in the urban jungle are just as valuable as those in a remote forest. More people are likely to see them in a city and to use the trail for exercise and exploration than in a forest where people go with the intention of walking. Not everyone can afford to travel to the more rural areas so urban trails are a… -

Re: Will appealed stops ever be approved or should I not bother?
@Venturan1979-PGO When you nominate do you have the option set to show other all nearby POIs. That is a great help. Unless one was nominated there already and was rejected (don't know). If by those ones in Sydney you mean SSMs. They should not be acceptable. Niantic has already stated not eligible. But as so many already… -

Re: Wayfarer spots being rejected when they clearly meet the criteria
@Gigi873-PGO You shouldn't use things that are already in the games as a determination of whether something currently meets the acceptance criteria. Many things were accepted under earlier rules that no longer apply, and many others were accepted that didn't meet current criteria. Here's a quote for you: "Tricky one there!…
