Re: New Gym Disappeared
The submission photo was taken from the road of the object, which is permanent. The statue is on a neighbor's property, but I was told it was fine as long as I took all the photos from the side of the road, basically where we walk and ride. The idea is for pedestrians and cyclists to actually have a stop available on the… -
Why does this old canal lock keep getting rejected?

Hi, I'm looking for feedback and an explanation on why this keeps getting rejected. There is an abandoned canal lock in the area, built around 1870 according to my research, and it was one of several functioning locks that helped move goods in and out of the town a hundred years ago. The canal itself is no longer in… -
Re: Hi
This time I'll bold the rest of the relevant information: Water Towers: ACCEPT if accessible without entering a restricted area, is uniquely decorated, or are otherwise a notable monument. (Edit to add: this isn't a "published guideline" anymore but it's still very much relevant - a nomination must meet eligibility… -
Re: Why are proposals rejected? Problem in Germany?

Enclosed a new rejection. Bad photo Place is inappropriate ??? Really? Maybe I wanted to deliberately hide the surroundings in the photo and hide the unattractive background. But of course, the photo is bad. When you see everything that has been accepted as stops in Pokemon, many have to be checked again. The place is… -
Re: Need confirmation on the eligibility of some items
About the signs listed under your number 4: What you must keep in mind, is that you are not nominating the trail marker, you are nominating a section of the trail, and you are using the trail marker as an "object that placemarks the area" to represent that section of the trail. Now let's go over the criteria one by one.… -
Small church walled garden, elegible? Rejected twice

Hi, I've got a small church garden, which I believe does qualify, but I'm having trouble getting it approved. I'd like to get some feedback on eligibility and see if I'm missing something. If it does indeed seem eligible, I'll resubmit and link to this thread if that's appropriate. There are obviously some less than… -
Re: Why my nomination did get approve
@ShadeDriveIn-PGO The hotel is what can be generic. The things at the hotel, that are acceptable though should not be looked at like they’re the hotel but instead as separate POI. They are not the hotel. The hotel placed those things there for the public that are visiting & looking to explore. A POI at a hotel actually… -
Re: September AMA - Discussion

There is too many rejection for trail markers: many people argue they are mass producted and/or not intersssant. Can you give us a clear explaination on what kind of trail marker is eligible? Some examples: Is these kind of directionnal sign used to indicate directions of trails are eligibles? Is markers of famous places… -
Re: Invalid portal - Schoorsteen
I live very near Schoorsteen. It is on private soil, but accessible for anyone playing Ingress or Pokemon. It does not block anything and certainly not an entrance. I strongly doubt wether he has really talked to the home owner. And indeed, property owners should complain themselves and preferably be verified as property… -
Re: Fifth time rejected
I think the comments about the fence and hedge are right - try taking the picture with the phone really high and ensure that you can't actually see the hedge or fence in the main picture. I had to do this a few days ago because I wanted to submit an allotment area which had a 7 foot high gate which just screams "keep out"…
