Re: What on earth is this nonsense
Is there another bug that auto-rejects our submissions? What would be the justification for rejecting an accessible community-sponsored mosaic? Was it because he used a photo montage? Because he said 'the game'? Are the reviewers simply bent against something for no reason? I nominated a well-coifed old baseball field with… -
Re: Appeal removal: Dovercourt Lower Lighthouse
You are conflating pedestrian access with public access. The two are very different concepts. Public accessibility means someone with permission to access the location. Pedestrian accessibility means the ability to walk to the location without putting oneself in danger. A Wayspot does not need to be publicly accessible at… -
Re: Question regarding appeal rejection of a cycle route (are they now invalid?)
Thank you for this, The Cycle route itself is called bearsway due to a combination of the general areas surrounding. We have the west highland way and bears den so bears-way. I conveyed this in the description. The overall purpose of the banner is to denote that this area and section of road is a cycle friendly route and… -
Re: New "Private residential property" definition
Also, they explicitely talked about the 40m rule in the November AMA: Can you clarify the definition of “private residential property?” Are multi-family residences included in this rejection reason? What about Wayspots that are within 40m of a private residence? The considerations when looking at private residential… -

Needing to Nominate
How do I start a nomination for a pokéstop? I'm level 35 right now. Not yet at level 37, but I live too far to be able to travel out everyday to spin pokéstops. My Family and I run and Family business where we live and have a publicly accessible right away and lots of activity with a lot of other people besides me that… -
Re: Hiking signs
I agree with @Az0rth-PGO, they cited the relevant guideline. To be acceptable it should have the trail name on it, and it should be a trail accessible to people on foot (hiking, walking). Niantic is in favor of things like this because they promote exercise/exploration. They just don't want dozens of tiny km/mile marker… -
Re: Not accepted has no reason - is that normal
I agree. 2 very different examples from opposite sides of the world, one about a space that wraps around you, the other about a space that opens out in front of you. In both an object is the physical anchor of the place on a map, but the interest at the point is not that object itself but broader aspects of what is around… -
Re: Removal Appeal: Richmond Gateway, Melbourne, Australia
The fact that there are crossing islands at the base of it makes it completely pedestrian accessible. The no crossing sign round the back is obviously because you are intended to cross at the front where the lights are. If pedestrian access means you have to be able to go up and scale the structure, then many similar…
