My conclusion is - not every example of an identical trail marker should be approved. The overwhelming majority of trail markers I see in my submissions list are just a marker plate. They do not have distances on them, but in some places they do appear every 30-50m or so. One marker per trail evey 500m seems sensible, not… -

this sign also looks less like a trail marker and more as a marker showing the way to the trail as there are no signs of a path made for horses bikes or humans only cars. -
