Re: Hiking Trail Markers
Walking trail markers are not usually unique. The unique requirement you quote above seems only to apply to cycling trails. I get 100% acceptance on walking trail markers and they are all the same (well, they're all the same if they're on the same trail). And they are often closer together than even 100m. I have not had… -
Re: Nomination Feedback / Why was this rejected?
I think this is a great nomination and if your supporting information said at the start Place to exercise. Trail marker for the Release Section of the G.R.A.C.E trail and then rest of your text And for the Title. Going to sound weird don't use Umass at title start. Call it for what it is - The Boston Harbour Meditation… -
Nomination was rejected, then appeared "in voting" again, and is hanging there

I submitted a trail marker on Sept 19; was not upgraded; got "rejected" email on Sept 24, with "cannot confirm location". Kinda unexpected: it was not visible on satellite, but was clearly on trail intersection, support pic/comment had clues, and there were other portals with that trail name in the area. Anyway, could… -
Re: Adopt a (road, street, trail ) signs
We have adopt a trail signs around me. They aren’t quite a trail marker but they give a marker on a trail that could be used as a waypoint. I generally give them either a weak review or a 1* if I can mark for a loophole like a bad picture. But since trails are eligible, and are long-linear/need a marker, I too wonder if… -

Equestrian only trails do not meet removal criteria

I have been rejecting these horse only trail markers because the link provided does not say foot traffic is allowed on these trails. Or any other sources I could google. I saw that one had gone live on the duplicates row and reported it to help chat (ticket # 18428009 ) as a dangerous location for pedestrians and just got… -
Re: Impact of Game Board Rules on what people choose to nominate as waypoints
Im the same, even though I play the games less regularly. Annoyingly I had 2 recent acceptances where one was a trail marker and one is a nice trig point which I didn't think were that close but the trail marker went through first and the trig point second so won't appear in the games. Then Niantic rubs it in by showing it… -

Country Border Markers
I was in the middle of Wayfarer reviewing when I came across a submit for a Canada/USA border marker. Should those be treated as survey markers or trail markers and to be accepted? It has two markers, the white marker does not have any writing on it but the orange one beside it says Canada/USA. Note: the submit was taken… -
Re: Seeking Clarification on 2 things.
There's a distinct difference between a trail marker and an orienteering marker though. Trail markers are used to denote walking trails, which can be used by anyone who fancies going on a walk somewhere. Orienteering markers are used by people doing orienteering, which is a sporting activity that tests navigational skills…
