Rejected for location inappropriate and fake nomination
I was expecting bad photos as the rejection (really hard to take photo on a very sunny day with sun directly on images, so bike markers hard to read and using an older phone). So yeah not high expectations... :-) So to counter the above reasons. Any advice please APART from better photos. I know that. I was expecting… -
Re: URL as a proof
It would be nice to give submitters the benefit of the doubt, but as @PkmnTrainerJ-ING said, it is far too difficult to get fake Wayspots removed from the map once they're in it. Case in point, there's a nature trail near me where 2/3rds of the Wayspots are fake. They are trail markers that were taken from the start of the… -
Re: rejected POI
I'm not defending it, I was explaining why reviewers came to that conclusion. In the UK, there's a lot of issues with people making fake trail markers and the like and slapping them on random trees to make more wayspots. Evidently reviewers erred on the side of caution here. I'm not saying they were right or wrong for… -
Re: Niantic tries to educate reviewers... and fails
I've had three trail markers declined for temporary/seasonal display despite being a verified trail on google maps. I know for a fact it's because of spite voting from the town up north. Tons of people from Glace Bay NS/Sydney NS submit fake stops or their homes. Nearly half of my very strong submissions are declined for… -
Re: Hiking trails/trailmarkers - whats eligeble?
September AMA (before 3.1 update): How should we determine which trail markers are eligible and which are ineligible? As long as the marker represents a trail it should be accepted. It should be something that is on the path of the trail, helps people find the path, has the trail name and is permanent. If it seems like the… -
Re: Helpful Information to evaluate in Germany
Please skip the German Challenge phase. When you say "Dura lex sed lex" I give you another Latin law tenet: "In dubio pro reo". Don't judge without enough proof. In another post I asked for being more sceptical for common fakes types ..... because of statistical reasons and own expierience as active fake hunter with a fake… -
3rd bot wave or simply the most stupid reviewers? ... and a still not fixxed issue ....

During the last week I got a bunch of really crazy rejections for usually foolproof candidates like info boards of educational trails. Further a bunch of very strange rejection reasons, that lead again to the problems with the bot rejection waves .... So @NianticGiffard there is a some stuff for investigation, and a very… -
Re: OPR Abuse has got to the point where it's not worth submitting again
Don't get stuck on just the clock. Some go through, some don't. Trail markers have always been roll the dice if they go through even though they are good submissions. Its just pretty much 85% of submissions are being rejected when they shouldn't. As to if it it's a broken system or bored players thinking it's a laugh to… -
Problematic Lightship database
This has been asked multiple times in this forum so let me write the summary: Niantic, please clean up your Lightship database manually! As you can see in this forum, Lightship database is highly polluted by low quality Wayspots and also fake Wayspots. You'd think this won't be really impactful? Well, let's see...… -
Re: Invalid Portal Removal Appeal
I care about this waypoint because it is a valid location that has been voted on by the wayfarer community and deemed substantial to be in the games. Your opinion on the location on this way point is insignificant and leads me to think you carry a negative bias for the location which can be abusive for the area. In a…
