Duplicate wayspot created. Attempted to remove. Remove rejected.

Bowie Trail Marker WM447 38.9743390, -76.7315070 Bowie, MD USA There is a duplicate stop of this one. This is the older one but the newer one is in the correct spot. I updated the description of the newer location to be accurate and match the old one and updated the title/description of the older one that it is a… -
Re: Supporting information question
A supporting image should give enough comfort to reviewers that the waypoint is legite and actually be at the location. Sometimes, it isn't possible to give 100% proof, but you could try to reassure as much as possible. In those cases, you won't get a 5* for location, but 3 or 4 stars. Compare it with a trail marker in the… -
Re: How is this inaccurate or offensive?
The rejection reasons are bugged since the update to Wayfarer. Nearly everything that's showing a rejection reason is showing inaccurate title or description. You should ignore that typically. Personally I would've given it a name along the lines of "NCN Route 4 - White Hart" and a description of "Trail marker for National… -
Re: Nomination rejected due to private residence or may be fake, does not exist
In this case, Niantic was very clear. If it is one private residential property (single family homes), or connected to walls of this, it should be rejected. I don't see often a trail marker on a private residential property. Private property is different and that isn't a rejection reason. Private property isn't an issue.… -
Re: Help me understand why this is repeatedly rejected.
@Musty5-PGO I know how frustrating this can feel and have had some wayspots that were submitted several times before getting through. And I agree it can feel very random. you have posted in nomination improvement so try to be respectful to those trying to help you. If it wasn’t the purpose of the post to seek opinions on… -
Re: Nomination Decision Floodgates
I am having nominations rejected for "Generic Business" that are not businesses - just like the last time it was a rejection reason. So far today: a town historic site with accompanying signboards, a signless park, and a signless greenway entrance. Have also seen reported rejected with this reason: a trail marker built… -
A Historic Bunker is a Natural Feature? A New Low for Appeals

So I submitted an old WWII-era pillbox in Hawaii when I was there on vacation this year. It got rejected for Pedestrian Access and Location Inappropriate, which was clearly wrong since it was located at the end of a popular hiking trail. I appealed it, and got a decision last night. Apparently the bunker is "Connected to a… -
Re: Effort: Do you put in less effort on "Gimme" type submissions.
Every nomination needs the right amount of work. A playground or athletic field needs less; too much description or too fancy an image will increase the odds of rejection, so keeping it simple is best. An art installation, weathered plaque, or even a trail marker may require taking pains to get the correct lighting and… -

Re: Cafes/coffee shops?
Citing Google and Yelp reviews help a lot if they are good (4.5 stars or better). I try to highlight that on the submissions for restaurants, cafe's and smoothie bars. If you can find some local awards, local chamber of commerce best of, local magazine awards, etc. Sadly those types of submission are hard because unlike a…
